That weather looks miserable! They're all wet and shaking at the reward challenge. Lindsay wins and chooses Omar and Mike to go get the pizza and shelter with her.
Mike wasn't happy with the way he felt "forced" with the change to Rocksroy at the last tribal; he didn't like going back on his word.
Lindsay just about touched the hidden immunity idol, but walked away without it. Then Maryanne goes looking and finds it! She tells us she's not going to tell ANYONE about this idol, so we'll see about that.

Like someone mentioned last week, I wish they'd have a season with NO hidden idols or advantages or any of that crap. It's gotten like Big Brother, they know what to expect now because it's so predictable. Jonathan shouldn't have been so bossy with Lindsay before, now he's on her short list. Omar lying on Hai! Wow.

I can't believe they didn't vote out Jonathan. Have they not seen him in comps? He almost won the last one! Also, I really liked Hai and am sorry to see him go.
Omar is the person to beat!

I'm glad Hai took that blindside well. Jonathan better win the next few immunities or he's in trouble...

Hai was a good player, and a gracious loser. Omar telling Mike fibs, was funny. I like Mike and Lindsay.but Omar is the one to beat imho. We still like Jonathan.

I agree, that was pretty funny with Omar's lie (a good one, not a stupid one!). I appreciate Hai's exit, too. I'm liking Lindsay, and think she's in a good spot. Romeo and Jonathan are obviously in danger, but that leaves others to fly under the radar and continue moving on.

Hai definitely took the blindside well and exited as graciously as I've ever seen anyone exit.
I also agree that there are just too many idols/advantages of too many different kinds out there. It's hard to keep track of them all, and inevitably, too many people are ending up with too many at once. It also encourages people to go out looking for idols instead of trying to develop a real social game that will allow them to advance. It's more interesting, at least to me, to watch people trying to build alliances and trust than to watch them scurrying around looking for idols. Personally, I'd also have a harder time voting for someone to win who got to the finals mostly because they found a lot of idols/advantages as opposed to how hard they played or how hard they worked to build a superior social game.
I like Lindsay, but while Jonathan is in a worse spot for being a competition beast, she won back to back challenges on tonight's episode. That might have made some people start wondering about how hard she might be to beat, too. I'm also wondering if people might start worrying about Drea and Maryanne being a voting bloc. They made it pretty clear last week that they really don't want to vote each other out. If the others figure out how many idols/potential advantages those two have between them, they might want to get rid of them as well.

Omar is playing this game brilliantly.
Watching Omar feed a lie to Mike was a pleasure.
What is so funny is that both Mike and Jonathan think they are such good players and yet are being played so easily by Omar and Lyndsey.
Good thing Lyndsey is good physically, socially, and strategically since she can't find an idol even if it is right in front of her.
I was good with either Jonathan or Hai going.

Another great episode! As a pp mentioned about MaryAnn keeping her idol a secret "we will see." That's exactly what I thought. But I would love it if she did. I already like her and if she can manage her fatal flaws better I could really get behind rooting for her. Come on MaryAnn . . . impress me!
I think Lyndsay did a great job picking who to take with her. Thats always tricky and can lead to hurt feelings and put you in trouble. . . but she pulled it off perfect and strengthened her game. Already liked her too and she continues to impress.
I also agree that I'm shocked they didn't vote out Jonathon. I assume he just has to be next and his days are numbered, which is fine by me. And if not then KUDOS to him if he can pull it off to the end. I do think Hai was a better move for Omar for this week. I don't see Jonathon turning on Omar anytime soon but I do think Hai easily would in a second and is smart enough to figure out Omar has everyone. Plus Omar risks his lie being exposed the longer Hai stays around. I was sorry to see Hai go as I liked him but as everyone has mentioned he had a great exit and went out very well.
As you may or may not remember this allornothing fact, but I am pretty much the only person here who LOVES the family episode. I still liked it a lot but hopefully it was better for the rest of you too since it wasn't so much family. Maybe this is a good compromise for us all!

I really don't get the Jonathan love and how people think he is the best player ever. I read the comments from the Entertainment Weekly Survivor Episode recaps also.
Yes, besides having a great chest and back, those are not just show muscles; Jonathan has been dominant for whatever tribe or group he has been in during the physical part of a daily challenge. For such a large guy he has amazing balance and endurance, however Jonathan can't do puzzles, can't strategize, and his social game especially when it comes down to Maryanne and Lindsey are abysmal, he does not read people well, and bulldozes his ideas through his alliance members without listening to any of their input.
Watching both Mike and Jonathan be totally bamboozled by Omar to take out Hai was the highlight of the season.
Omar's confessionals are getting better and better each episode, he is obviously having the time of his life.

For me it brings everyone back down to a human level.. like if you love em, like em, or dislike em this time with their family puts them all back on a sort of level ground and reminds us as a viewer it IS a game. Not to mention in the past, some of their fam members have been an absolute hoot.

I will note that Maryanne said she felt she had to use her Immunity Idol last episode even though she knew she was save.
So Hai technically was voted off with an Immunity Idol in his pocket? He had the three way shared immunity idol.

He had the three way shared immunity idol. Ironic then, how she played her idol last TC, but now found this one. Her having played the idol now works to her advantage, because now everyone thinks she has no idol, so this could work out very well for her over the next few TCs. Have they made any mention of when's the last time they can use idols and advantages? This makes me hope Maryann really means it when she said she won't tell anyone. Seriously, I legit can't even remember the last time a player found an idol and didn't tell any other player. Like, I remember Sandra doing as such in Heroes vs Villains, but ever since, I can't remember if any other players found an idol and didn't tell anyone about it.

I wanted Romeo to go last week for this reason alone. He needs to eat something, he didn't have much to lose when this started.

Per Omar this week's tribal council was day 19 and this is also a short 26 day season so with 7 more days Romeo will survive. If they were doing the standard 39 day shoot which would translate to almost 3 more weeks I could see Romeo being pulled for health reasons due to being underweight. survivingtribal.com/2019/09/23/survivor-39-day-format-explained/

I think Hai played a great game overall, he just got cocky toward the end and didn't realize how much control he really didn't have in the game. He went out in the same spot as Shantel last season and it was definitely a blindside for him, but he was a great sport about it!
Lindsay's edit has really picked up a lot these past couple of weeks and I am loving it! She must have been shocked to realize how close she was a grabbin that idol when she watched this episode back.
I still think that Omar is playing on another level than anyone else left in the game. Even if he doesn't win this season he is one of the greatest strategic players we have seen in a long time!
At this point I think Romeo is the only person I really don't see winning this season, he is so invisible now and has just never been able to get the control he wanted, everyone else its fair game.

I know. It is absolutely fascinating to watch. I so don't want to jinx anything. This is what I wait for every season the player who pulls the moves and no ones sees it. I would much rather watch a player like Omar than one like Jonathan. I would so like to be a fly on the wall watching both Mike and Jonathan's reactions from this episode when they realize how badly they have both been played.

At this point in the game there are 7 players left I would rank them:
1. Omar 2&3. Lindsey & Drea 4&5&6. Mike & Jonathan & MaryAnne 7. Romeo
With Omar, Lindsey, and Drea being the strongest strategic players in the game.
Mike and Jonathan are totally clueless strategically.
MaryAnne is definitely a floater.
Romeo actually know more about what is going on then Mike or Jonathan but really is just someone's extra vote at this point.

I think the only difference is I would not say MaryAnne is a floater. She has admitted to using emotional gameplay to get her way and a few other things. She is finding idols and knows she needs to keep quiet about them (please do it MaryAnne) Would I move her up with Omar? Of course not but depending on how she plays the next episode I might put her at a solid #4 on her own line? IDK - maybe I just like her enough that I am seeing her with a bit of rose colored glasses. I am willing to eat my words about her being a floater if I am wrong but I think she has more to give us.
