Love Island (streaming on Peacock)

Bergie really needs to slow his roll. "let me take you to soul ties, the most romantic spot in the villa" who says that? I just really hope he doesn't get his heart broken. I'm sure Imani and Destiny will bring guys back from Casa but I wonder who?

I don't understand the Keenan hate. I think he's correct in exploring other people. For goodness sakes, KayKay has been at his side day one. It's not as if they're engaged or anything. The point is to find out who you click with, there shouldn't be anything wrong with him, especially since she was in Casa Amor and they both said they will be open, getting to know others. Heck at least to make sure in his mind that KayKay is really the one on Love Island. At least he didn't put any appendages in anyone!

Talking about that, why didn't Leo get a similar savage beating? I think he was guilted into keeping Johnnie by I-can't-remember-his-name-but-he's-gross. Leo didn't want to look like a COMPLETE jack@ss I guess. And, why should she get mad? She was making out with the tattooed guy like hormone-crazed teenagers before she even saw the video!

I get Destiny though. She's not going to give it up to just anyone and she wants to be pursued, not the other way around. Old fashioned (common sense) sensibility about her. But I do think that she as Zay(?) look really good together.

Bergie? His relationship from Casa? Yeah, right that will last. I think he's going to be forever friendzoned until he turns really bitter about it in his old age OR a lady will date him just because he's now a reality celebrity.

So tonight was our first Movie Night (something they've done on overseas versions, but not USA ever), and it started off pretty juicy. Destiny and Mike went at it, Leo tried to contribute to the discussion and hohoho, Destiny was NOT having that, coming from the least credible guy in there!

The hideaway movie clip wasn't anything. We'd seen it all before, and nothing was super surprising to the islanders. I'm surprised no one called out Destiny on her sideways-bed pose that she pulled in there, as she did with Jonah.

But then, the "Affair" was shown -- as Leo and his two women knew it would be -- in graphic under the covers detail. Lots of them saying "oh no" and gasping, it was pretty funny. But then, the girls just asked Leo which version of his story is the truth, WHAT does he actually want? He couldn't answer, giving no straight answer at all, and just getting mad about it. I thought Johnnie was pretty cool about it, and even KayKay and Mike tried to help him, that there's no "right" answer, just say what you want. He swore a lot and got frustrated, and just couldn't say "I want Johnnie" or Kassy. He's feeling dumped on, like they're continuing this on and on and on, and he can do nothing right.

I was hoping the vote tonight was who we'd boot out of there, but it was the old Favorite girl and boy. No matter what, Leo and Keenan will likely stay because the Casa guys haven't gotten much air time, so they won't have enough fans to vote for them. I did vote for Imani and Kyle, though, so I tried. I just couldn't make myself vote for Marco, and even though Carmen and Kenzo are boyfriend/girlfriend now, I'm not sold on them either.

ETA: Keenan took KayKay aside prior to Movie Night, trying to head off any further revealing dirt she may see. He is worried. She tells us she thinks she knows everything, at least she hopes she knows everything. @kocky_Kamikaze it is Keenan's attitude that really bothers me. He acted so cocky and rude at the recoupling ceremony, and even in his first discussion with KayKay afterwards - when she was asking why he keeps dancing around it. It wasn't until later that he turned humble and apologized, saying all the right things, and successfully getting her to give in to him. I don't like the way he treats her, and I don't believe he'd have been okay with her doing anything "disrespectful" at Casa like he did. If a guy had snuck his hand under her covers (in her Nether Region ) he'd have a fit and be done with her. She slept outside and avoided anything that would've crossed their agreed-upon line. He was rude to Hannah too, the way he shoo'ed her away when she wanted to pull KayKay. I just don't like him.  I don't give Leo any kind of pass at all, but will give him a tiny bit of credit for feeling bad and apologizing, and not being a jerk about it (at least at recoupling). 

Movie time continues on Thursday night....

Bergie is totally cringey. He tries way to hard and needs to slow his roll. But this is the first season I remember somebody like him. Or maybe I just forgot because they got voted off pretty quickly. I do remember one guy in season 2 who had platinum blonde hair that went to one side. Don't remember his name off hand.

Mike is officially a dunderhead to me. What was his point saying Sarah Hyland was being disrespectful?? I mean I understand that he feels he has to say something (for no real reason) but, ugh, dude, be quiet and go!

I think maybe Destiny should've laid off the air hugs approach with Zay. She should've been rapid-fire flirting with him. (I would have!)

I'm over the Cassie/Leo/Johnnie thing. I don't blame Mateo for wanting to jump ship.

So, Johnnie and Kassy, wow! But I say they should explore it. Destiny is something else. How many guys has she been through now? She needs to take a note from Anna and just go. I hope Taylor is sincere about Bergie, I still fear he's going to get hurt.

One more episode to go! Final couples are Hannah and Marco, Kassy and Leo, Carmen and Kenzo, and Taylor and Bergie.

Family videos were funny, and some were a little harsh: Bergie's grandpa called out their relationship as forced, and Marco's grandma said their Hideaway scenes were "porno"! LOL! Not that they were lying, though! But it bothered Bergie. Destiny took her dis with grace though, and she actually seems to be getting along with Kyle. Go figure!

I have no idea who's going to win. From other sites I've read so many people can't stand Carmen and Kenzo. They think Bergie has a good chance to win no matter who'd he take to the end, though that "forced" comment from grandpa might have put a little doubt in people's minds. Hannah and Marco have been steady all along, so maybe they'll win? Unless they're seen as boring. Kassy and Leo have been the entertainment this season! And some say since they've been put through things and have come back together, they may win. They're both pretty likable. So, we'll see!

Has anyone watched the "After the Island" videos/interviews done by a couple of former Love Islanders? Sometimes they're interesting, and give some behind the scenes stuff. I didn't know how long they sit in quarantine, alone, waiting to get onto the island -- Rob said it was so long, and showed off some of his projects he'd done. He was pretty funny. Mike tried to explain why he was rude to Sarah -- saying she asked KayKay several times about her decision, and the one time that was aired was not the one he reacted to, and that he apologized to her later.

Oh and they mentioned how bad the music has been this season. I haven't noticed, has anyone else?

This season was kind of a bust. Not as many bombshells and I thought some people from Casa would have been better as regular islanders, Rob in particular! But I'm happy Marco and Hannah won!

Love Island Games starts 11/1. I don't know a ton of people because they have several from the international versions. Courtney is on, not looking forward to her baby voice

Johnny came in hot! He's a bombshell, and all the others were blindfolded. He had to come in and kiss two people, he chose Imani and Cely! What?? When asked if anyone recognized their kisses, it started Cely thinking, then sure enough, the next day they brought him out. Surprise (or not!). He didn't choose her to couple up with, told her it was just an "ice breaker." LOL! Wow.
He is SUCH a good looking guy, in my opinion. I remember really liking him and Cely last go around, but it doesn't surprise me that they didn't last. He knows he is gorgeous. I'd be hard pressed to turn him away, if I were on that island!!
He did end up apologizing to Cely for things that happened during their breakup. So, they're on friendly terms now.

Is this Jack from the UK, the one I watched who won with the actor's daughter?? He sounds the same, but he looks different. I'm waiting to see him be fun!
