Somewhere along the line I read that they get a good idea of who the lead's top four picks are after the meet and greet, so the rest are kept for dramatic effect, entertainment, and padding. They are conveniently used and discarded along the way. I agree with this and I can already see who I believe the final four will be: Blake, Garrett, Colton and Jason. Possibly Wills. Jason is becoming the dark horse of the season. She has already told him she has a crush on him and upcoming previews show them spending time together. To the best of my knowledge, they haven't had a one-on-one yet. But I see some sparks between these two.

Every season we come to the episode that I freaking HATE. That one where all of the toxic masculinity comes out and I want to give ALL of the guys a come to Jesus talk. What is with that (seemingly pervasive) attitude that the woman HAS to accept the guy because he's willing to marry her? Like THAT'S the criteria? The man is ready, so the woman should be grateful? Save me from the chest-thumping macho man b.s. Apparently, we're getting more of next week too. Yay! The only one I like at this point is Blake. Oh, and Leo, I guess.

I agree bloomers, but this editing or drama, is the same every season. It's gotten so predicable, we all knew David/Jordan would go on the 2-1 date...it's why they were kept. They need to change things up a little.. Earlier on, the formula for the 2-1 may or may not have been that the 2 house conflicts went on that date. Sometimes, it turned out badly as far as backlash for Chris Harrison and the ones who had to try to defend. Case in point.... Dr. Andy Baldwin's 2-1 had 2 wonderful girls: Peyton, a sweetheart who eventually married the absolute fan favorite in Bachelorette Ali's show F2 Chris who they could not win over to be the next Bachelor regardless of whatever incentives they threw at him, and Dr. Andy's F1 who he fell head over heels for and who left him in Hawaii. However, she was edited as very sweet but reluctant. The 2-1 ended when Dr. Andy chose his F-1, they flew off in a helicopter, and poor Peyton was left seemingly stranded on a huge tarmac in the dark by herself. That 2-1 deemed a debacle because of its outcry. I guess it was decided that it was better to pit 2 people everyone was irritated with before the date. Now remember - for a very long time, the editing also had the F2 being the villain of the house! Of course, we didn't catch on that the villain was the F2 for several seasons because the spoilers were not wide-spread like they are now, and even the sleuthers had to piece together the clues and wait until almost the end to figure it out. The point is that over the years, they have changed the formula up a bit to try and make it entertaining and yet still acceptable, too. They still miss the mark, and sometimes widely as was the case with Lee in Bachelorette Rachel's season. They figured his racism would be controversial and dramatic, but they didn't realize or bank on they, too, had crossed the line in exploiting it the way they did.

Leo performed in a porn movie and evidently sent around some pictures of his, ummm. Chris? I am a little divided on this one, knowing the tricks of the producers that I do. If Chris has watched The Bachelor for several seasons, he knows the leads go and get the ones they WANT to talk to. This is just the way it is. Now the producers egg things on. They always have because as they have said in interviews unashamedly,"That was my job." Also, according to their own admissions, they are skilled at manipulating situations to get results that they want. They were there, and they could hear Chris bragging about his supposed standing with Becca. I don't have any doubt at all that some producer decided to play this situation and make Chris seem insecure. I also don't have any doubt that the suggestion was made to Becca that she was tired, Chris was secure, and she didn't need to talk to him that night. Why didn't she call it an evening? Wellah! We have Chris's whole meltdown. All of that said, he could have gone and broken in. Although Becca herself knew she went and got who she wanted to talk with, she also was manipulated. It was said to her with a shrug, "He could have have come and broken in." Thus, it is completely all off Becca and onto him. Even my husband who is watching this for his first time, hit on this.

Leo is listed as a stuntman in Hollywood, and in a Fabian kind of way ( that guy that was on so many book covers in the 80s and 90s?), he is good-looking. Maybe it wasn't such a big leap to believe that tidbit considering where he lives and the work he does to begin with....as opposed to perhaps being an engineer?
Aries, if that isn't permissible, please delete....
I know there are some big Jason fans: ABC has released next week's episode description. Jason gets a 1-1. Two others we have heard a good bit from - not so delightfully - really get into it on a group date, and I don't know who or forgot who gets the last one.
Edited to added: the complete more descriptive ABC episode indicates that Leo gets the last 1-1 (sounds good) date in Virginia.
