Where is everyone? I missed most of the first part. From what I saw Victoria arrived and wanted a date with Justin. Genevieve was ticked off because he is the only one she is interested in which is stupid since they just met. Missed the date. I will have to check my PVR when I get home.
Meanwhile Logan seems to be Shanae's pick and they are making out on the beach as everyone watches. It all looks fake to me. Hailey is also pining for Logan and tries to make some very awkward conversation with him, but it is clear he is not interested. Date card arrives and Shanae takes Logan and Hailey is in tears.
I don't understand these women crying over some guy they just met going out with others since that is the premise of the show. They haven't even paired off yet...Please stop. It gives women a bad name.

Stupid fake set up stuff with a waffle maker and vibrator in someone's ... Salley's luggage. Genevieve is freaking out for some stupid reason. And then they make up this whole stupid story about Salley and they act out all these roles. So totally idiotic.
Meanwhile Shanae and Logan are making out on their date.
I am so bored. Ridiculous.

OMG ... Romeo just got burned. He tried to go with Brittany and tried to kiss her and she turned and then in an ITM said if he gave her a rose...she would rather get hit my a bus. She then told Jill and Jill is now pissed at him. She isn't playing games. Man has bad moves. No wonder he is single.

I'm not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to watch this after reading the comments here. Guess I'm a glutton for punishment. I like some of these people and am looking forward to seeing more of them, but the ones like Genevieve, Hayley, Romeo who were getting the bulk of the screen time are super-irritating and need to go away. They aren't even entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way. Genevieve's hysterics were ridiculous. I think Justin really does like her and is trying to figure out where he wants to land, but she's intent on sabotaging that by needing him to choose her without even considering anyone else. Side note: Either Victoria is a liar (which is entirely possible), or Justin didn't even kiss her on their date--at least that's what she told Johnny in the preview when he asked her if she'd kissed anyone yet in Paradise. So Justin doesn't seem to be acting particularly F-boy-ish about things as he decides what he's doing. (It'll be interesting to see if this Salley chick shows up and further complicates things. Speaking of Salley, with friends like Kira, who needs enemies. Genevieve's all upset about Justin, and Kira "comforts her" by telling her he only had eyes for Salley at Stagecoach.  ) Speaking of Salley, that whole segment about her was a huge waste of time and not nearly as entertaining as the show seemed to think it was. Who are these women that they would open someone else's luggage? (I know, the producers probably told them to, but still.... It doesn't make me trust them very much.) |

I don't think Logan knows what "has a chip on her shoulder" means (in speaking about Shanae). It's not a good quality, dude.

ETA: Aw, Teddi leaving RIGHT before Rodney was going to ask her out. What a missing opportunity. He's a sweetheart.
I know Ashley I. can be a lot sometimes, but I love that she leads with her heart. She just always knew she wanted Jared and just kept hope that it would happen. I think he was the only one who couldn't see that they were right for one another.

What kind of doctor is Kira? I wonder if she has any patients. After seeing this fiasco with her awful personality, who would go to her. Shanae and Logan deserve each other. Couldn't stand either one of them on their season!

Teddi leaving before giving things a chance with Rodney was weird. I get her being disappointed that the connection she expected to have with Andrew didn’t pan out, but why not at least check things out with Rodney? I guess maybe she just felt like Paradise in general wasn’t a good vibe for her, which I kind of get.
EDITED TO ADD: Genevieve is such a hypocrite. She was all in Justin’s face over Victoria, but now that the shoe’s on the other foot, she’s really digging all of the attention and doesn’t seem to care much at all about how Justin might feel.

I wasn't paying super close attention and it does get a bit chaotic. Did Teddi know that Rodney was there? Leaving did seem like an overblown reaction, especially considering it had only been a few days. Plus, it's not like she and Andrew had a big, emotional blow up.
One of the things you can always count on with this show is that these people will almost always downplay whatever relationship they have when a new, hot person shows up on the beach. Almost every one of them is leaving room open for someone else. I mean, I get it, but it's not a good look to be talking out of both sides of their mouth.

Yes. Teddi knew Rodney was there. He actually took her aside to talk, and they seemed to have a good talk and expressed a mutual interest in each other. That’s why I was so surprised that she left before checking things out with him. I have to think that she was really just fed up with the Paradise environment.
(I was just watching Sharleen Joynt’s recap, and she said that she had heard, from someone who was there, that Paradise wasn’t very fun this year. The producers were overly controlling and manipulative, and it was really tense. Sharleen wondered if that might have had something to do with it.)

Thanks for clarifying about Teddi and Rodney. I was in and out of the room while it was on. Her leaving is definitely weird then. Maybe she'll do one of the multitude of Bach podcasts and explain what happened.
From what I've heard, Paradise is fairly miserable. NO air conditioning and it's hot all the time. Plus, I don't think any of the bedrooms have doors, so people can just wander in and out. I think someone was talking about going to the Boom Boom Room just to hang out in the air conditioning and I'd totally support that move.

Teddi spoke with Rodney before she freaked out. She had wanted to meet Andrew and thought they were a great match, but when they met she felt something was missing. I think she wasn't as attracted to him physically as she had thought she would be, but he expressed the exact same feelings. Neither of them wanted to hurt the other. She freaked out because she wanted to go out with Rodney, but didn't want to hurt Andrew. She is a little immature. I feel bad for Rodney because he wanted to take her out. I like all of them and it's too bad she ran off, but I am wondering if tptb had something to do with it, because both were very low key and they wanted to have the stupid Sulley drama so made her freak out and leave. |

Ahh. I couldn’t remember if the Teddi freak out came after she talked to Rodney. Thanks for the refresher on that Midol! I wonder if there WAS producer manipulation. Her leaving just seemed so sudden, especially when she was interested in Rodney. I wonder if she was concerned about going against Jill, who seemed to be her good friend add was also interested in Rodney. |

Wow! Good for her! Supports what I’ve heard others “in the know” say about hearing that this was not a safe or a happy environment. It’s interesting to see people like Jade and Kendall and Blake, as well as Sierra, Casey, and Serene, leaving positive comments. Also Salley!
I wonder if that whole “beating up on Salley” story from Wells was part of the cruelty that made her want to leave.
