Everyone's an Artist - Teams make their way to Florence, Italy, where they chisel out a sculpture from a large block of plaster and crash a fashion photo shoot.
----------------------------------------
They are in Florence and have to sculpt a statue...not as bad as it sounds. They just have to chip away to reveal the figure. Twins are out of there first. Last place are Rich and Dom the motivational speakers. He is ok, but she is a royal pain in the a**. As soon as she arrives, she is all I can't do this and wants to do a penalty. This is not her wheelhouse...at all. So annoying. He asks her to try for 15 minutes and she finally catches on. Dumb.
Marcus and Michael the military guys were running second after the twins. They are both doing the fashion shoots where they have to memorize the clothes.
Abby and Will seem to be the only ones to do the food pick up challenge.
Meanwhile the father/daughter Linton and Sharik are also having issues. She had a hard time with the task and after is saying she is done and she wants to go home. OMG these people are so ridiculous!

Yeah, I couldn't believe the pink haired woman was such a snot, giving up without even trying! That poor man really has his hands full with that one. She's horrible. Father/daughter girl was not handling the stress well, either. I'm with you, Midol they're ridiculous! I love the twins!! And Derek and Claire too. Even though the two brothers haven't done anything terrible, I find myself rooting against them for some reason.

Twins are done first and need to find Phil for the pitstop and they are first and win 5 night trip to Sydney, Australia. Military guys are next.
Daughter is still whining. I feel so bad for the dad. He is doing all the work and dragging her along.
They are neck and neck with the motivational speakers and barely make it to the mat. She is whining to Phil that she wants to go home and he tells her to decide. She finally says she will stay. I wish both of these guys could dump these idiotic women and pair up to run the race.
Motivation is gone!
Next week Egypt...my heart. It's on my short list for next trip!!!

Motivational speakers love each other. On their anniversary, with tears streaming from her eyes, they are the last team to arrive. 10/12 episode. I guess we don’t have a thread tonight, so I’ll just move here and move tomorrow. Although I am not sad to see them leave, I do appreciate that they wanted to stay, unlike father daughter ( she wanted to quit). But, she, told Phil, half heartedly that she would continue. For her dad, who really wants to play. Have these people never watched this show to know how tough these challenges are? I guess we know which team is likely to leave next week.

That little girl (yes, I’m calling her a little girl because she was acting like a toddler having a tantrum) was acting like a horrible brat! I felt so bad for her dad. I’ve noticed on previous episodes she does not speak to him respectfully much of the time, & this week was no exception. She whines that she hasn’t done any roadblocks because she has anxiety, well child, when you get to the point YOU HAVE TO DO the roadblocks because your dad has maxed out, then you will really have anxiety! I think she has a case of lazy & spoiled brat syndrome. She bitched & moaned the entire time from the point she had to chisel to the time they hit the mat. If she has any siblings, her dad should’ve run the race with one of them instead!
As I said, I felt bad for her dad, but I wonder if he helped create the monster.
Glad all the teams I like made it through! I really appreciated team high/low said that negativity serves no purpose (I don’t think exact words, but that was the sentiment). Such a polar opposite of the daughter on the daughter/dad team.

I thought Sharik acted like a little beyotch. Everyone was tired, but her father is so nice. I wish she'd just left, but then I'd feel sorry for him. "I want to go home, I've had enough." Good heavens girl, you chiseled one little statue. Pinky was crying, ready to give up, some motivator she is. Maybe I have powers, I did say last week ⬇️ and they were!! I'm taking orders for next week.. Florence was beautiful, the architecture, wow!

Sort of off-topic, but sort of not - I HATE that they stuck that stupid Love Boat show between Survivor & TAR. It has jacked up my Wednesday nights!

OMGosh the utter disgust I felt for Sharika and Dom/Rainbow Brite 2.0 almost ruined the show for me.
Have these people EVER watched the show before? Rainbow Brite really got on my nerves when she the designated navigator and who cannot read a map or navigate using one was constantly harping at her partner to watch the road signs as they drove toward Florence. You can drive all you want and read every road sign but if your navigator does not tell you the names of the correct road signs and destinations reading road signs does not help. It looked as if Rich (her partner) was attempting to read the map and drive at the same time. Thank you for NOT helping Rainbow Brite.
Then the emotional breakdown at the sculpture challenge. Really? Well be thankfully you didn't have to unroll a 100 rolls of hay, or roll cheese down a mountain.
Rainbow Brite reminds me of a person who talks a lot about how great they are but in real life just can't do the actual events/tasks they claim they are so great at.
Sharika. You do understand this is the closest you will ever get to your share of one million dollars and you want to up and quit because your hands hurt from doing manual labor for an hour or two? What a whinny baby, having a temper tantrum at age 23. Your poor father. Who raised you to be this way. If Linton could have gotten a new partner I would have dumped Sharika on the side of the road and told her to make her own way home. Now that would have been stressful and anxiety inducing.
Is this how they raise kids in the USA now? Rainbow Brite is 35, Sharika is 23 and they freak out over a little hard work. Again with Rainbow after she READ THE CLUE she calmed down.
In both these cases Rich and Linton the male partners were amazingly patient and supporting.
I do think that again Rich and Dom (Rainbow Brite) failed to READ THE CLUE about the fashion challenge and helped them come in last.
Were not Rich and Dom and Linton and Sharika at the checkpoint tables at the same time for that last challenge? Didn't they see each other? Was it a close finish or just editing?

Personally I have Paramount+ so now watch Survivor when it airs and watch Amazing Race on Paramount+ the next day. Also better to watch both without commercials. Watched the first Love Boat episode and knew that would be the only one I watched of that. Hoping this doesn't kill Amazing Race due to ratings of this change.

I am so used to watching Survivor and The Challenge on Wednesdays and I watch from my DVR after the shows air just to Fast Forward through the commercials. Last week due to overscheduling I watched Survivor and The Amazing Race the following day on Paramount +. It was so nice and easy that I just might start watching both or all three shows the following day.

Not only was Sharika being a brat to her dad...she was a complete brat to Phil! So disrespectful, and Phil looked annoyed and sounded fed up. She really is old enough to behave better.
I wonder how that woman's motivational career will move forward after she wanted to quit without trying. Her inauthenticity drove me crazy; the performative 'beautiful Black queens' being said repeatedly was tiresome. We get it, you support other women.

Worst motivational speaker EVER. What a phony. She wanted to give up the statue task without even trying - did she honestly think the others chiseled out those amazing statues? Come on, woman. It's a shame her husband couldn't stay and run the rest of the race with Linton. Let his whiny, lazy ass daughter go home so dad can run the race he loves with someone who gives a damn. Nice to see so many sights in Florence...I would have spent all my time gawking at the architecture/art.

Great episode, loved that all the teams I liked made it through! so happy for the twins to get first. They moved into my rooting for the most spot. Such a sweet story, they are geat competitors, and really complement each other! Happy to have the motivational speakers go. They were continually on my nerves. I think the married couple with the height differential were great motivational speakers this episode. Thats how its done! I am rooting for them too! The father/daughter team was a disappointment. I was rooting for them. Now I am rooting for half of them. I also watch the shows the next day (or the day after). I haven't brought myself to try a 2nd episode of the love boat yet. The first one was pretty terrible. I may still give it 1 more chance depending on if I need a show on my phone while doing chores in the background. Maybe. . Watched the first Love Boat episode and knew that would be the only one I watched of that. Hoping this doesn't kill Amazing Race due to ratings of this change.

I wonder if I'm the only one who was fine with Dom. Like, she wasn't a favorite or anything, but she didn't annoy me. I'd take her over Sharik any day. At least Dom decided to go for the Roadblock despite her initally wanting to take a penalty, and continued forth until elimination despite knwoing they were very likely eliminated, whereas Sharik had been taking a backseat on doign any Roadblocks, and just doing one sent her in this ugly tantrum that lasted the rest of the leg.
Like, wow, her constant whining and petulant behavior, even making a scene in front of Phil and the local greeter, was so ugly that it legit made me wish they'd gotten eliminated. I feel sorry for her dad having to put up with that behavior, even the passive-aggressive tone and eye rolling when she said she'd continue racing, you could tell she didn't even mean it. Why would she even bother coming into the race in the first place?!

Sharik wants to bail, and it's easy to see that she was only doing it for her dad. Probably thought she would get a free vacation out of it, not realizing how difficult the challenges can be. She presumed they would be last, so she just gave up, and didn't even want to complete the task that her father was bound and determined to complete. As soon as she knew they were still in the game, and was given the choice to continue, she took it. I felt sorry for Dom, she clearly wanted to stay, and would have been so thankful if Sharik had bailed. I'm embarrassed that I was so down on them in previous episodes. It was their 3 yr anniversary, I wish they had not come in last. But, TAR is tough and I think, had they not left last time, they would be leaving next. So, hopefully, they had a luxurious overnight hotel stay somewhere to celebrate at.

What really had my hackles up was that conversation Dom had with Rich in the car demanding he needs to multitask, he needs to drive, read the signs, and do the navigation as it was obvious he was also trying to read a map that was on the passenger seat. All Dom was doing was making demands instead of studying the map to figure out how to use it. As the navigator of the team she is a total fail.

I would NEVER want her to try to motivate me. She was awful. As much as I like the father daughter team, she was pretty awful too this week. Dad is so motivated to go on and she is like nope, i quit, not doing it. Sigh. Still love dad, his kid, not so much after last week.
