I hope Val’s okay. There were several times after their dance were he looked like he was going to pass out or like his knees were going to buckle. And he kept touching his chest. I hope I was just making something out of nothing.
Seeking form amidst the void.
But if that's not possible, gimme a Margarita...shaken, not stirred...and hold the salt, please.
Prom night was meh for me. I am not sure what decade Heidi was in for her prom.. but she said she graduated in 1990, but Cyndi Lauper was 1983... hmmm.. lol.
There was a lot of pink going on too. eep!
I was ok with Lil Arnold going, I am not a fan of Daniella and he never grew on me like so many of the others I did not know before this season did.
I will miss Selma, she left with such grace and class... and I loved to hear that she was so loved by ALL the cast and crew... make up, wardrobe, everyone. It was hard not to get misty eyed in her Rudy moment too. I know she had to leave before she did something to her body that was beyond repair, but she did a great job and held her own.
I am not watching the show, but as I was walking to an appointment I saw an ad campaign that featured Selma Blair: www.vogue.co.uk/fashion/article/selma-blair-gap-icons I thought it was a great and powerful way to display someone with a disability.
I just added Tuesday's date to the thread title. I don't think we need two separate threads.
I have to laugh at Heidi choosing Cyndi Lauper for her song when her prom was in 1990. Is she lying about her age or was where she went to school really behind the times? "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" was released in 1983. I know some places in the states tend to be behind the coasts (although not as much now as 30 years ago because of the internet), but 7 years seems a bit much.
I continue to mute a lot of each episode and generally just turn the sound on to watch the rehearsal package and the actual dances. It makes TYra almost tolerable if I only hear her a few times in two hours and barely look at her
It's pretty clear at this point that they likely lured Mark back with the promise of a winner. We've had lots of so-called ringers, but Charli is the ultimate ringer. Her dance training - heck she's performed with DEREK - along with her massive SM following pretty much makes her unbeatable, which is kind of a bummer for the rest of the field. I still find her kind of robotic. She does the choreography well and smiles/gives the expressions at the right moment, but it doesn't have FEELING. Maybe that's just a maturity thing.
I was really sad to see Selma go, but that seemed sort of inevitable. When she kept performing well each week, it felt like her body would probably give out before her scores got her eliminated. I think it's a nice legacy for her that everyone involved with the production had nothing but nice things to say about her. I hope she's able to do acting work in the future. It seems like she'd still love to do it.
I've been really impressed with Trevor this season! I didn't expect much in the beginning when he talked about being afraid of dancing, but he's really done well. He's not going to win, but he's stayed in longer than I ever thought he would. He can be a bit wooden at times, but he's got really good lines. Nice arms, good lines. His kicks and flicks were pretty darned good in that jive.
Gabby's tango was perfection. I'm so proud of her. She's worked really hard this season.
Every time the announcer refers to Joseph as a fitness model, my brain hears "famous model"
Based on the fact that Heidi was in the bottom two this week, it's clear the doesn't have the fan base her daughter does. I'd guess she'll be gone in the next few weeks, along with Jessie and Vinnie. Frankly, I don't even look at Heidi when they're dancing. Artem is just too sexy I don't even notice her.

I love Shangela. That's all. I just love her
OMG so do I, more and more each week if that is possible. Like I said, DJ, Shangela, momma... they can all come live in my basement, as long as they leave Frankie "I am still trying to be relevant as Ariana Grande's Brother" Grande at home. Honestly, more I am exposed to her more I feel that they NEED to drop Tyra, move Alphonso to host and have Shan in the skybox.. how much fun and energy she brings!! ANd I feel her sincerity too.. the ballroom NEEDS some more drag queen!!
