Man, I wish I were at that dinner.
How salty was Buddha about what Tom said? I don't think Buddha gets criticism that often.

Begonia was pretty angry too -- this group of chefs do NOT like to lose! "lol

Mead is a thick, sweet drink so it was nice to see what the chefs did with it.
I could completely relate to Victoria's story about being in school and eating from garbage cans because she was hungry. In undergrad our school was adjacent to a building that had a food court, and a lot of us students went there at closing time every day because the restaurants would give us their leftover food so they didn't have to throw it away. While I was struggling at that time, I definitely had it better than a lot of my fellow classmates because while free food is cool I knew that for a lot of my classmates it would be their only big meal that day. If it wasn't for the kindness of those restaurants we would have been eating from garbage cans.
Loved that house they were in with all the cool bedrooms, nooks and crannies and that lovely kitchen. Loved the whole Holiday Meal concept, and it's the first time that I've seen everyone sit down and enjoy each others food along with the judges. I knew Buddha was in trouble the minute the judges didn't comment on his food as they were eating it (while praising almost everyone else's) and I'm kinda over his attitude. His elitist comment about chef meals vs home cooking was uncalled for, and I think the others are kinda sick of him as well because they quickly checked him on it, lol. I especially loved the chef (can't remember who) who told him that it wasn't an issue with chef meals vs home cooking since his salmon was unseasoned anyway!
Loved the fact that Tom took the unpopular dessert course since he had immunity. I completely understood Gabri's comment about how so much good cooking relies on intent and he was focusing on other things because you can taste it in the food when it's cooked with love and good feelings. He's one of my faves and I'm glad that he didn't go home. Happy for the Top three but especially Amar (who won 10k worth of vacation stays at any of Vrbo properties). Very sad for who had to go home but loved how all the other chefs gave her mad love before she left; I get the impression that this particular group is extremely close compared to other seasons.

Begonia was pretty angry too -- this group of chefs do NOT like to lose! "lol She was, but her I still like.. Buddah, not so much. Begona admitted it was her fault, and I think she was more angry at herself than anyone. Amar's win made me happy he has SOO grown on me since his first season and his lil one, adorbs!! I agree with you on the fact this group is not at all used to loss and does not take being in the bottom well. Because of that it is becoming an interesting dynamic this season... we see who is far more humble about their position and skills and who has an ego the size of Texas.

I think Buddah is okay and also a phenomenal competitor. That said, I would agree that he's worst for wear, but why wouldn't he be considering the caliber of who he is competing against?
The lightweights of the bunch are long gone, and even they weren't that lightweight except for their heads not being in the right place to compete effectively.

It will be interesting to see how the competition evolves. I think Tom will be a contender along with Buddha. Victoire is getting stronger. Maybe the final three?????

I would be ok with Tom in the final,I love his absolute Germanness, reminds me of so many of my German friends. Vic is growing on me... slowly.. but Buddah, again I cannot stand him. I really wanted him out this week. I would love to see an all female final, Sylwia, Sara, and either Begona (if she makes it back) or Vic. That being said I do like Tom as I mentioned and I REALLY like Ali and Charbel too. As much as I adore Gabri, I do not see him wining this, there are too many other chefs who have much higher confidence levels.. his lack of is going to be his undoing (sadly) just like I hope his overabundance of will be Buddha's.

Tom is my fav. I don't mind Buddah, but yeah, he is a bit full of himself. I like Sara- she has been pretty quiet since her first quick fire win with Dale, so she could be a dark horse. I'm not a Victoire fan. I'm surprised Nicole is not doing better. She has competed in other shows and has done quiet well. I think maybe she's been away from competition too long??? I am rooting for Dale to prevail in Last Chance kitchen. He has hung in there for three contests which is tough, but based on the promo, I think Begona will make it back. Sad for Dale 😔 but good for her if she wins back her place

I loved the part when the chefs returned to the kitchen after all that cooking and eating, and it was time to wait for the judging….Buddha says “let’s make a pact that the vrbo winner will rent this house and fly all the chefs over”…and Ali chimes in, “and we’ll order take out!” 😆 It was a cute funny moment.
These chefs do all seem to enjoy each others company.
