I may regret watching this live.
While I like having back-to-back shows, I really dislike the mass eliminations. I know I've said this before; I'd much rather have more time during the live shows than all that early stuff. Cut a few, not EIGHT at a time! It seems like the show just gets started, and then it's over. The lead-up is too long, with less of a payoff than it used to be.
There is SO much talent this year. So far We'Ani and Warren are through to the top 12. Warren sang a more rock song, than country this time. I like both singers in so far! They're calling it the "Danger Zone" if they didn't make the cut. Hannah sang for her spot and sounded GREAT. Michael was fine, his end sounded better than the beginning. Mariah didn't sound very good to me, unfortunately. Maybe a bit better than last night, but still not wonderful.
Haven is also in the "Victory Zone", singing her original song "15." It always looks like she has so much fun.
Nailyah did not earn enough votes, and sings a Sia song "Alive" - she mostly sounded good and smokey, except for the screechy parts. Paige Ann also has to sing for a vote from the judges. I liked her song (Pink's "I am Here") and she did well for most of it -- she's really trying to prove that she deserves a save. Matt goes to the Danger Zone too. IMO he's good at what he does, but this type of singer isn't usually rewarded with votes on AI for some reason. His song was great though!
Tyson is in the top, going to the Victory Zone. I'm not a fan of this performance.
Colin's up next, and he ... made the Top 12 too. He shouts out his mama before singing (as they said he should do! lol), and he does a great job on his song. Just him and his guitar, for the most part, which I appreciate because the singing/music in the background can often get too loud for me to hear the singers very well. I am not a country music fan, but if Colin continues songs like this, I'll vote for him! Loved it. Apparently, Luke did too as he rushes the stage and hugs Colin! whoa
Marybeth also makes the top 12. I liked her song and performance last night, but this one didn't do much for me.
Kaeyra has to sing for her life, and sings a song by Gladys Knight and the Pips. She looks very pretty, and sounds good, but I'm not sure it's enough. Oh, and there's a fly or bug right in her face! Poor girl.
Oliver's fate: Top 12. Singing for fun tonight, no pressure. He's singing Shania Twain's "Your Still the One" and it sounds a little hokey to me. I liked him earlier, but I'm getting bored with him, and this rendition is weird.
Olivia with her silver go-go boots is up next. At first Ryan makes it sound like she is IN ("America...wants to see more power"), but then says she did not make it and will have to sing. I feel bad for her, she got tricked by his phrasing or something there, and now has to pull it together enough to sing. It sounds mostly good, she does have a powerful voice. Judges say they can't believe she didn't make it.
Of course Iam makes the top 12 -- did anyone doubt it? Wait - his hair!! Oh my, I really don't want to laugh but can't help it - what kind of look IS that?? He sings a Lionel Richie song, with a big smile on his face.
Zachariah comes out with his sparkly jacket, and Ryan says he is IN! He's singing a Toto song -- what's with all the throw-backs? lol. He sounds good though, and has a good time out there.
Lucy Love is next, and Ryan tells her she did not make the top 12. She's singing "Radioactive" and does some really LOW notes, and mostly does a great job. She looks like she's ready to fight to stay. Lionel says if he has to bet on anyone, he's betting on HER.
Is Megan or Nutsa getting the last spot in the Victory Zone? We'll find out, after the commercial. I'm just thinking, whichever doesn't make it, the judges may just vote right back in because they're both so good.
Megan makes the top 12! She sings a spiritual song, sounds country -- I've never heard of it. Her voice sounds good, though her slushy /s/ sounds sometimes distract me. She doesn't do it all the time, so I wonder what that is, and if she just needs some coaching?
Nutsa got the bad edit during Hollywood week, and at first I was disappointed in her too, but then after seeing how the girl who teamed with her (and was eliminated) acted when Nutsa tried to be nice to her and make it up to her, I gave Nutsa the benefit of the doubt. Editing really did its work though, people think she's an awful person. She's been nothing but nice since, as far as I can tell, and this girl can sing. Wow, this song from Dreamgirls was great.
Katy looks stressed (says she wants a drink tonight after not having one for 9 weeks)(good for her!!!), Luke says they likely will not all be on the same page, but they go to commercial to choose their two.
Here we go... First saved is Lucy! (took Lionel quite a while to get there. Spit it out!) Last one saved is Nutsa! Lots of talent going home tonight, unfortunately.

Too many cut at once. ‘Merica voted in all the country/Christian singers over talent like Kaeyra. Judges pick blew our chance to get rid of Nutso. At least Wé Ani is still in the running.

So they really let Kaeyra and Olivia go home so they could save Nutso and Lucy with her stank attitude? Good job, judges. I'd rather have voted for the fly. I almost fell off the couch when they said Zachariah was safe. My favorite three girls (the two I mentioned above and Emma) go home and this guy is still there...I don't get it.

I’m so disappointed. I’m truly ready to stop watching and just catch Wé and Iam on YouTube the next day.

Got to agree that too many country/folk/indy singers are in the top 10. I wish they stopped the judges' picks and just left it with the 12 top vote getters. Even better if they cut fewer. I agree with a previous poster that we see more auditions than actual performances.
I found it remarkable how almost all of the girls really dressed up...almost like they were taking a lesson from Nutsa and Nailyah. I guess Megan was the only one who ignored the memo ( and she really stuck out---not in a good way--- in her ragged jean shorts.
I liked Lucy's earlier performance more than the last two nights. Lionel can say she has her "game face on"...but that attitude certainly does not fit the show.....and she did not come off well
Too many great singers went home.

I almost fell off the couch when they said Zachariah was safe. My favorite three girls (the two I mentioned above and Emma) go home and this guy is still there...I don't get it. Yes to like all of this. There were like 4 singers I would have left on the danger zone bench in favor of Emma, Olivia, Kaeyra (like OMG, she is amazing), and I liked Matt SO much. Hell I honestly would have moved almost the whole danger zone over to the save zone and sent Haven, Nutso, Megan, Zachariah, and Lucy (after her whatever the hell that was last night on display) home, then made it a top 16. This mass elimination crap is crap. As is the judges pick. They had their turn, now it is our turn to say who we want to see. Luke is the only judge I want to hear speak anymore, the other 2 are off their rockers. Katy always feels like she is pushing some agenda or makes it all about her..Lionel is a legend, I get it and I love him, but he makes no sense half the time. You're all No. 1, come on.. at that point give everyone a 'You did it' ribbon and a tin participation trophy and send them home. I have a feeling Zachariah is still around due to his story, the tornado, and I don't know what else at this point. His whole vibe give me the creeps, his wife gives me the creeps, it all gives me the creeps. When he is on my screen I fast forward, I just can't watch him and I definitely cannot take him seriously, he is a big ole block of velveeta up there. I really wanted to like Lucy, but last night changed all that for me. First, WTAF did she do to that song?! Two, I think they already knew who would be safe/sent home because you could tell on a lot of their faces they were not happy. Lucy did not try to hid her malcontent AT ALL. Lastly, so many left with such grace and were so humbled by their whole experience but Lucy pouted, stomped, and acted a fool. (read as: CHILDREN ACTED MORE ADULT THAN LUCY). For all the amazing talent, diversity, and unique artists they really did have this season... it turned blah super quick. Big disappointment AI, BIG disappointment. At this point I just hope for an Iam, Wé Ani, Oliver final 3. Meh, I hate im upset over any of this... there is real strife in the world.... Oy!!

This! Her bent over stance with arms akimbo made her look like the Tasmanian Devil cartoon character.

I saw a comment about her looking like she was about to enter the ring for a WWE match with that silly stance and look on her face.

I agree, waywyrd! When Lucy came out on stage, she looked like she was ready for a fight. What is up with her winking?
