This is an emotional tribal with the final five. We got to see more of Lauren's personality than ever, finally. She was great, humble and thankful.
They were all pretty cagey before tribal! Lots of tension, and they left us hanging: did Lauren find the idol after all or not??
Jeff says it's the last night to play an idol, and then Lauren speaks up! "Jeff...." Then says, "just kidding!"
One vote YamYam, one Heidi, and 3 for Lauren.

She just gave him the game so dumb.

YamYam's moment with Carson was so sweet, such a "human" moment instead of a game move. Very touching!
I can't believe Heidi would risk immunity. Winning over someone who admits they're not that good at making fire, will make her look stronger? I wonder about that.
These finalists are all quite likable, I'd be able to root for any of them!

Okay, breaking the fire-making speed record does give her more to hang her hat on!
Poor Carson, he's such a sweet guy.

I figured it would be him of the 3 too bad it was not Heidi but am proud of her.

I always thought Heidi was tough, turns out she really was. I am thrilled Yam Yam won, him teaching Carson to make fire, touched my heart. Poor Carson, all his insecurities came back to haunt him. Watching this back, I hope he knows just how smart he is. Caroline, love you girl!

I was yelling at my TV. Grrr! Vote out Heidi instead of Lauren! I've actually been saying it for weeks now. I don't know why they thought Lauren was more of a threat than Heidi. There was no way Lauren would have won that final immunity. And there is no way Lauren would have won the fire. I so badly wanted to see Carson, Yam Yam and Carolyn in the final 3. In my opinion, this season was ALL about them and how they came in to the merge with just the three of them and was able to outsmart, outplay and outlast the "stronger" tribes. Seeing Carson go out the way he did was hard for me. I really was worried that Heidi was going to take it in the end, so Yam Yam winning was better than THAT. But I had high hopes for a Carolyn win, so it was a let down that she didn't even get one vote. But I admit...Yam Yam sold himself very well and spoke a lot better than Carolyn did. I do love that the 3 of them made it as far as they did ...with one of them winning the final. So I SHOULD be happy. And yet I still don't feel like it was a good end result Weird, I know Overall I enjoyed the season.

I really wanted Carolyn to win.
Both Frannie and Carson were doing a lot from the jury to help Carolyn. I do think though that the other players still look down on emotional players and Carolyn as being lucky vs strategic and are not given credit for surviving in the game and getting players out.
Was it pretty obvious that it was Heidi vs Yam Yam. That Yam Yam was being given all the credit for what the Tika Alliance accomplished.
It was very annoying how dismissive Heidi was being that Yam Yam, Carolyn, and Carson wouldn't have been in the final except for being on Tika. I know it was a strategy and I don't think Tika was given enough credit how they were able to maintain an alliance to the end and use that alliance to safe themselves and get to the end as if they were lucky Sota and Rahu hated each other and ignored Tika.
It is still annoying with all the women in the final a man still won.

I know if it was me I would not risk it on fire making. I would have had Yam Yam go against Carson.
I would never have helped out Carson like Yam Yam did. Maybe afterwards but not before.
Funny how the jury never saw Carolyn as a threat like Yam Yam and Carson did.

I feel like Carolyn, Yam Yam and Carson were actually a super tight alliance all the way through to the end. They had conversations with others on occasion, saying they were willing to turn on one or the other. The editors then did a bang up job of making us think they were really thinking about "betraying" their three person alliance. Kudos to all three of them (especially Yam Yam) for lying so well to others along the way. The last few episodes really had me hoping that the three of them would get to the finale together.

I was having similar thoughts as I was watching. She is clearly VERY good at making fire and probably would have beaten any of the other three at fire making (and probably all of the jury as well lol ), but beating the worst person at it?? Doesn't mean all that much to me.

Yes, me too. I have a feeling Yam Yam really got to know each person, we just didn't see it. Carolyn opened up too late, but I think she'll be asked back.

Several of you have said what I'm thinking! I'm not sad Yam Yam won, but I would have preferred Carolyn. I wanted Carson to be in the final three as well. I also wish Carolyn had come in second instead of third. I know she was kooky but several of them were so dismissive of her the whole way through that I am not sure she really had a good chance to win with this jury. She wasn't as good as explaining her moves so that didn't help. Imo, I think Yam Yam and Carolyn played about an equal game but the votes do not reflect that at all.

Yeah as really Sia has a thing it seems for Carolyn. She also is a huge fan of the show. Really Yam Yam seems to be a very nice guy but didn't deserve to win the game IMHO!
