Goodbye, London! - The final four chefs welcome back the winner of Last Chance Kitchen; a dish featuring jellies and moulds; creating trompe l'oeil dishes.
Enjoy the show!

- Damn @ who came back! LOL - Having these contestants create a jelly dessert for the Quickfire in 2 hours (with one hour of letting the jelly set, lol @ that) was...something. - I liked the concept of illusion dishes and loved Gabri's explanation of why he decided to create a sponge. He is so damn likable and endearing, Humble King. Tom had a good message but the fact that he essentially made something that resembled caviar taste like seaweed counted against him, it would have been better if he chose to give it an entirely different profile, similar to what [Mystery Contestant] did with their Matzo Ball that looked like a tamale. I also liked Ali's "garden" that was actually falafel. - Felt really bad for the person who left because all the resource hoarding aside they were a good egg. I know I should be happy for Buddha but I'm sorry, his false modesty bugs and I'm really hoping one of the other chefs pulls an upset next week because the finale will be anti-climatic otherwise. Any of them, I don't care. Just not him.

I felt bad for Tom too and am sad that he was eliminated before Paris. It felt like the judges haven’t been too keen on him for a while now. He had his moments of selfishness for sure, but he’s grown on me some.
Don’t really care much who wins at this point. I guess Buddha is the most likely given his winning streak, but the season seems to be ending with a ho hum whatever lol.

I'm thrilled that Sarah returned, for having been eliminated for what appears to be no fault of her own.
Why is it that only Buddah knew to use a candy thermometer to test the inside of a Wellington? And why isn't it possible to probe using a meat thermometer to measure internal meat temperature? I haven't made a Wellingtone since forever ago, but these are the questions I'd like answered.
Do you know what I miss? Judges' blogs.
I enjoyed Tom's dry humor, but I felt he had been continuing on borrowed time.
I am looking forward to the finale!

I think it's revealing that he's been cooking since the age of 12 and grew up with a chef father. If he appears confident it might be because he is an old soul in the cooking world? At any rate, I am rooting for Sarah but will be happy for any of these chefs to win.

Cooking tricks often get handed down from the way your family prepares food. Since damn near everyone in Buddha's family is a chef I'd imagine that he's learned quite a few cooking hacks like this over the years.

If I were preparing for Top Chef London, I'd consider it possible that there would be a Wellington challenge.

I think using a meat thermometer would create a big hole in the dish. I saw another chef use a candy thermometer on Hell's Kitchen and get admonished for it. Maybe even kicked off because of it.
So happy Sarah is back! My favorite part was when Gabri ended up telling them about his Scotch-Brite idea; they turned to Sarah and asked her, and she said, 'I'm thinking of doing a Scotch-Brite.' I see that she and Gabri have a real connection.
And of course, of course, Buddha wins molds and trompe l'oeil.
