I've watched every Survivor show ever, and can barely remember Chris as a winner. Cassidy is a little more memorable, but wow, my memory!!
And WHAT is up with Paulie's look? Ew.

I can't stand Paulie either, and Fessy and Josh are not much better (to me). And there are a couple too many Alyssa's on here for me. (I realize there are just two. )

The green team blew it with the symbols.
This nominations twist is interesting. I wonder how this will go....
ETA: that is not what I expected to happen. Blue team chose Ameerah and Luis. Everyone else did the secret vote, putting balls into the hopper, and it will show how many votes each person has (for drama I suppose). One name comes out of the hopper, and if it's a female, Ameerah plays, or a male, Luis plays. Complicating things unnecessarily?
And we have to wait for the next episode to see who it is. Okay.....

Don't look at the super trailer way too many spoilers, the editors were very sloppy I already know who is playing in elimination.

Wow, that episode felt way too short.
I hate it when they end on a cliffhanger like they did? Well, instead of waiting a week I only have to wait until Sunday.
I really prefer a huge premiere episode.
I did like the twist of random names picked from the hopper for team leaders and the school yard pick. But again not that exciting as CBS has already posted team pictures, like weeks ago. But it was nice to see the teams mixed up like they were, makes it harder to form alliances.
Amanda you had one job to do in the challenge and you totally failed. They needed at least two people to memorize.
Wow, we have been waiting years for a new random way of how they pick folks for eliminations and they gave us one.
Best line of the show was Tori, saying that Fessy was disappointed that there was no statue of him for the team to carry.
Also liked Tori telling Josh he did not know how to play the game.

Watched the challenge portion of the episode again.
Very chaotic and borderline dangerous the section where red passed blue and the statues fell off and they lost control of the wagon.
Green Team can't blame Amanda totally for not remembering the runes. Ameerah said at the beginning of the challenge that she and Amanda were responsible for memorization but I did not see Ameerah helping at all at the checkpoints. Ameerah didn't even help pull the wagon.
Red Team - Chanelle, Tiffany, and Michele were also not helping to pull the wagon after the disastrous unload and reload portion. While that was a mess it showed how strong the Red Team is as they almost won that challenge as Red and Blue were neck and neck at the finish line.
Jonna points out Dusty as the weak link in the team???
Jonna voted for Michele for elimination. I like that either of the two losing teams can vote for anyone else on the two losing teams even your own teammates.
Wow, Michaela was so mad at Cory and Tori for controlling the Blue Team.
If nothing else the vets know to go in fast with strategies and alliances.
Liked what Bananas said in regards to the Green Team, it doesn't matter if you vote for one green team male or several green team men as long as you vote green.

Not sure but he is riding Cara Maria's coattails and they are both into this pansexual lifestyle and Cara does a lot of boudoir photography.

She has the dagger on her forearm. She got a date in Roman numerals and Paulie has a matching one. She has a Crow on her torso somewhere and now has a huge dragon tattooed on her hip and side of one of her glutes and upper thigh.
I am sorry but she is turning into one of these pierced tattooed biker chicks and it is not pretty.

FYI:
DraftAt the start of the season, three captains were randomly selected to draft the contestants into three teams of eight.
Red Team Josh - Captain Jonna
Paulie Michele Dusty Chanelle Bananas Tiffany
Blue Team Cassidy - Captain Cory Tori Faysal Alyssa L Sebastien Alyssa S Chris
Green Team Desi - Captain Wes Michaela Monte Ameerah Tyler Amanda Luis
FormatThe second season of The Challenge: USA features a daily challenge, nomination process and an elimination round. This season had contestants competing in three teams decided during the first episode. The format is as follows: Daily Challenge: Teams compete in a main challenge where the winning team is immune from elimination and earns the power to nominate one male and one female contestant to potentially compete in the elimination round.
Nominations: Members of both losing teams privately vote for one contestant, of either gender, to potentially compete in the elimination round. Each time a contestant receives a vote, a ball with their name is added to the Hopper, increasing their chance of later being selected to compete in the elimination round.
Eliminations (The Arena): At the Arena, the Hopper randomly selects one contestant who received votes to compete in the elimination round. The same-gender player nominated by the challenge winners then becomes their opponent for the elimination. The winner remains in the game while the loser is eliminated. Twists The Hopper: The Hopper is a lottery machine which randomly outputs a ball with the name of the contestant to compete in the Arena.
Defection: The winners of elimination rounds may choose to remain on their current team or "defect" and join either of the remaining two teams. If they choose to defect, they must select a player of the same gender from their desired team to swap positions with.

Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with him about the Challenge USA S1 Finale & that the players were ill-prepared (except Enzo...not swimming...lame). I thought everyone else in that finale were great competitors. I also feel that Desi & Angela both got screwed over (I know there's debate regarding Angela's DQ, & I'm on the side of she got raw deal). Also, because every player ended up quitting at the final puzzle, Sarah & Danny won by default (if I recall correctly, but who really knows, because editing), because The Challenge had to have winners. Did CBS show them complete the sudoku? I don't remember. But I do remember Tyson saying that the instructions just said "complete the puzzle" but didn't give any instructions as to what end pattern was supposed to be. (I cannot do sudoku puzzles, math frustrates me. I love word games though!) Production was also making & changing rules on the fly. I hope they learned from this & this season will be a lot more consistent!
PS: I'm going off memory, so I may not remember everything correctly.

The Soduku puzzle on the other hand. If you have never done a sodoku and were given instructions to complete the pattern it would be totally useless. You need to know that that each square must contain the numerals 0 thru 9. That each vertical line and each horizontal line must contain the numerals 0 thru 9 and no duplicates.
If you do not have these particular instructions you don't have a place to start. My first couple of tries I had pen and paper and was tracking everything trying to figure it out. A person who never played sodoku and with no instruction would not have a chance unless they were a mathematical genius.
I play online sodoku now but it would be harder to do it on a whiteboard.
Danny did not win by default. He got to the sodoku puzzle first, knew what it was and finished it correctly and continued on the finish the last leg to the top of that mountain. Legitimately earned, can't fault that win.
For the ladies again everyone quit and was gone by the time Sarah got to the puzzle. This I know is up in the air, but she says she plays sodoku with her young son. She was the last female standing and they told her the puzzle was correct and she did finish the last leg of the race.
The producers have stated in previous challenges that you need to finish the race to collect any money. I know when Devyn Simone in Free Agents was climbing that volcano and she was dead last; she had 4 hours to complete that leg and it was close. The crew had bets riding on that. She just made it.
