Aw, Leo gets the rose. I think this is the only time I've gotten to hear him talk about personal stuff, they've focused too much on fools in gold underwear and bratty little man-babies fighting.
Who's this guy singing?

Jason is doing a lot of commentary tonight.
As if the producers would just let Chris take off on his own wandering down the streets of Richmond. No doubt he is out looking for Becca and will miraculously find her.

The night is not going to bode well for Chris. The previews showed him making a comment along the lines of, "I'm looking for a fight". Oh, there are a few men in the house that will give him one, and if wandering the streets of a city he may - or may not be - familiar with, he will certainly find one!

Oh look...Chris found Becca. I'm shocked. He must be a great detective. She probably had flashbacks to her ex showing up.
She is nervous giggling and complements Chris on his coat. Jordan probably helped him with it.

Chris apparently thought he was the captain of the ship and master of his own destiny wrt to this show. Everything was always framed as...Well, I don't see it that way. I don't agree yada yada yada
It is not about YOU, Chris. So glad the drama queen is gone!

oops. My post got deleted somehow Buh bye Chris! Defensive to the end. Mr. "Right Fighter", to quote Dr. Phil. He's more interested in being "right" than being happy. So chances are real slim that he's going to find the right "Yes Girl" of his dreams

Travel budget must be paltry this season. Next stop the Bahamas!
Looks like the pressure is getting to the guys next week and they start to crack.

Has there ever been a season where the contestants and "Prize" have not traveled abroad? I've only been actively watching for the last 6-7 seasons, and it seems there is always a lavish, far-away locale included near the end of the season.

Well the Bahamas are international and FDs are always somewhere good.

My Recap & Commentary on an interesting but not fun episode: Richmond Virginia - Why on earth did TPTB pick that location? And why on earth were the guys so excited to be there. Somebody's palms were greased by the Virginia Promotion people. No offence to anyone from Virginia, but for a show who normally goes to glamorous European and tropical places, it's a bit of a plain location. That little chat with Chris H was useless. Chris & Lincoln: Pickety pickety pick. What a couple of petty little whiners. Go away, both of you.
I just don't like Jason's greasy slicked back hair. Traipsing around town really isn't all that bad a date. Pretty nice, in fact. Then meeting up with his friends. Production must like this guy. As pleasant as all that was, they had to turn to the depressing Grandma story to bring the mood way down. Why do they always have to go with the downer stories on dates? It's right up there with the "air your dirty laundry" dates. All in all Jason's a really nice guy. She likes him, but I don't see anything more. A Friend Zone guy.
That Group Date was unpleasant and a dumb idea. A set up to start a fight in front of her. Even the audience was uncomfortable. When will these stupid contestants ever realize that trashing the other guy is never a good strategy. Becca as good as told us in advance who was gong home when she said something like "I'm tired of focusing on the negativity with Chris". She just associated him with negativity.
I really like Wills's voice. So mellow. Seems like such a nice pleasant guy too. Has a sweet smile too. OK, he's winning me over slowly.
I thought sure Leo had a 1 on 1 date already. They've shown the preview of him dancing with her on the stage so many times I thought I'd seen the date. Does he have a perm or are those long cascading curls natural? Usually curly hair, especially on guys, is wild & bushy, at least much moreso than his. The oyster date was odd, but looked kinda fun. I think he seems like a decent guy, "smell the fart" look aside. Oh rats! Another "air your dirty laundry and insecurities" conversation. Once again, I don't like those.
Chris got the creepy "Mass Killer" music. Once again they're telling us what's about to happen. Looks like her agenda for tonight was to cut the drama guys out. She succeeded.
Finally the Bahamas next week. It's about time they left. What? No Europe? Looks like it was budget cutting season. The conversation with the Presidents was cute. Cute fun way to end a downer episode.

We know from past internet articles of insiders, they have an extremely good idea from the lead who her idea of her top 4 are from as early as the end of the Meet and Greet. They have to scout the places, set up and reserves venues, and plan dates in advance. Now, is Jason's hometown in Virginia or is that where he resides or something? If so, then that might give us a clue as to why they ended up here. If Jason is possibly - possibly going on a Hometown - then they might have scheduled that particular visit, etc., around him and Virginia. I do not have inside info....I am speculating.
For the first time, I really looked at Jason closely. He is nice looking. I would like to see him in a different hairstyle, but he has that widow's peak going right in the middle of this forehead, and that makes many different hairstyles more difficult.
Richmond is historic, and that Debate idea for the group was a cute, interesting little take -off on a public forum. I was appalled at Chris's attitude and rudeness in front of all of those people. Not only did it ruin the occasion, but socially it just isn't done...whoever said, "You don't air your dirty linen in public," had it correct. It turned into a debacle that embarrassed Becca, gave the Bachelor a bad name with that group of spectators, belonged in the group in private where everybody concerned was already tired of it, and gave Becca a look at Chris that mostly was the kiss of doom.
Notice that Chris walked to Becca's hotel suite, un-announced, and after she let him go, magically there was a car waiting to pick him up at the door when he came down. Since he did not know where she was staying, let alone her room, would have had to have permission to leave his premises to go see her, and she was allowed to just open the door to anyone, I surmise that was a producer set-up all the way. Furthermore, I highly suspect the producers already figured Chris was not going to make it to the next destination one way or the other. Typically, the episode right before the Hometowns has 6 contestants with (3) 1-1 dates and 3 on a group date. That means 3 had to be cut at or before the Rose Ceremony. I figure they knew Chris was destined to be one of those.
Leo was very kind and gentlemanly to her; she appreciated that, and she liked him. My husband nailed it, I think, when he said, "Leo is a friend."

I like Jason a lot. So laid back and sweet. What was up with all the police cars down on the street?
Might have been blocking off the traffic. This show is such a sensation now people crowd on the sidewalks to watch when they're filming.
And thank you for talking about the travel locations. I kept wondering why this season felt "off." It's because they never went to Europe. Usually they head to an American location and then jaunt off to Europe and then end up in someplace tropical. The Bahamas are not all that far off the coast of Florida, so they really were on a budget.
And speaking of which, I'm glad this show filmed a few months ago. Right now is not a good time to go to the Bahamas...
A final thought: I wonder if Richmond was trying to clean up its image after all that controversy over the Confederate statues? I've never been there, but I've read that those statues are everywhere since, you know, it was the Confederate capitol.
