He said he was an alcoholic and a drug addict. There have been rumors of the cast (especially the Southern Charm people) doing coke. I agree; I wouldn't like being with all that alcohol and possible drug situations, especially newly sober.
Side note: I hope they factored in that they have to tip doormen and all the people who work in that building.

I LOVE this show and have been a huge fan since the first episode! From the very beginning, I've never cared for Lindsey and I've always thought that Carl was a mess. I'm so glad he's not drinking anymore, but you guys are so right, Carl doesn't seem to be a better worker even without the alcohol. (He does seem to be a really nice, sweet guy, though. I feel very sorry for him that he's fallen in love with Lindsey. She's going to eat him alive!!!) I may need to re-watch the clip, but I think Carl called himself a junkie in the past episode, and damn I felt bad for him. I hope that he is able to stay sober. If I were him, I wouldn't return to the show, but I don't have his monthly $6,500 rent contribution to worry about. I read in a number of sources that "influencers" can make A LOT of money! As in hundreds of thousands or even millions. Granted, you have to have all of the followers and views that these sums require, and there are other requirements for sure, but it can be done and it has been done by a lot of people! There are tons of articles about it all on Google. I picked this one because I liked that it spelled out what it actually takes to make, for example $100,000. Off topic: Jax and Brittany want desperately to return to VPR. They'd make even more money influencing since the show is at its highest point right now. |

I can’t believe that article about the money-making power of people with a few thousand followers. I guess you basically have to have ads — or “sponsored” posts— but that figure amazes me still. — but at least on YouTube anyone can turn ads off for 10-11$ per month. Of course hits matter too. ( im wondering if they all have to be from different people etc). But without all these shows of course their earning potential would go way down.
I wonder though if some of the earlier shows had people who took that turn. They seemed to go more for having products or clothing lines or singing ( If that’s the word for what Luanne does— although I guess the phrase “ money can’t buy you class” is indelibly engraved in my mind). But it sure makes being on these shows sort of like winning the lottery and I can see why people are willing to do pretty much whatever it takes to keep their spot. That is the drinking and fomenting of storylines at almost any expense.

There was a rumor, apparently, that Paige lived rent free or with reduced rent in a pretty posh building in midtown— if only because she tagged it frequently on social media. Which presumably most celebs wouldn’t do. I can believe it— that probably would be a very expensive address. She’s not living out in Bed-Sty or bushwick.
But being an influencer — wow. You seem to need to spend your life primping and posing and checking out clothes and accessories.. And cudgling your brain for cool things to do — cool that is in the eyes of your “followers””. And presumably calculating what will and won’t attract or lose you fans. Presumably your iPhone is never far away and you must endlessly follow yourself around taking selfies.
That is most definitely not how I would want to live. But I guess if it works for you….

I would be exhausted. I just returned from a trip with another woman who was very into, 'pictures' and we got together before dinner to take them of each other, then in the restaurant she had me take hers in the middle of the restaurant. This was so not my thing and made me very uncomfortable. So not fun for me.
Also, Paige has a two-bedroom apartment so I can believe that she has reduced rent or free rent. I think Dorinda had a deal like that.

I can't do it either. I don't want to be a glorified salesperson, because that's truly what it is. If you're successful at it, do you, boo! If Paige managed to snag such a deal, good on her. Renting prices in NY are trash.
The $13,000 that C&L pay per month to rent, they could easily find a nice house in some suburb in New Jersey and pay less than that. However, it's their money and to each their own.

Well, that's all they wrote, folks. I appreciated Andy sort of seeing Danielle’s side and angling toward a reconciliation. They're both very stubborn, and I could see them easily carrying on with this feud. Thus far, the show has yet to be picked up for another season.

How horrible is Silas? How did Jasmine fall for him? OMG and Jasmine, she's acting like marriage made her so different she's breathing through gills now. I haven't watched Sunday's episode since I was out last night. But I love this show. Also, Preston putting his foot down because Silas wanted a house meeting again was gold!

Oooooh! Thanks for sharing; I didn't see that. But I doubt it. I am sure Lindsey had him pinned down.
I read another theory that it's because of his sobriety and her drinking. I believe that more, he's newly sober, and she's not a great drunk.
