Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. Hoping to solve the mystery of her father's disappearance, Croft embarks on a perilous journey to his last-known destination -- a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. The stakes couldn't be higher as Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith and stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown.

OK action film based on a video game with a strong female lead. I just felt that Lara as portrayed here was stupidly headstrong in the first part of this film with no ingrained killer instinct or survival instinct which made me wonder why she is doing mixed martial arts and having the crap beat out of her. While I admire any actress who does killer training to develop muscles for a role many of the scripts stunts and fights were simply done to show off said muscles to the point it was ridiculous. I hate it when a women tries to out man a man doing the same stupid stuff guys do. This is supposed to be a smart, fearless female adventurer don't dumb her down to be an average guy.
Watched On Demand for $5.99 for HD. I would not pay full price at the theater to see this film and it is not worth buying the DVD. Rent it or watch on Netflix or what ever streaming cable network it will be on.
