Ooops...I'm watching in Canada and it's on.
They start with Jesse and Joey crashing some Bachelor watch parties. We've seen it all before. Screaming women being ridiculous.
They introduce the ladies. The first half of them I don't even remember. OTT screaming when Maria is introduced. She is faking being humbled and surprised. Nothing like auditioning for the the Bette. Yuck. I hope it isn't her, I couldn't take a season of this.
Recap of the stupid Maria drama. They are ganging up on Lea for the burning the card thing and how that all came down. They are all talking over one another and Maria is taking over...she just won't shut up. Constantly drawing attention to herself. It's like the Maria show and it's only been a few minutes! I can't even.
Lea walks off stage at commercial time...looks like she is crying because they are all b*tches. Ridiculous.

Lea is back....oh here comes Maria to fake hug her to get more attention. She is reminding me of Meghan Markle...Me, Me, Me.
Medina is trying to be the adult about the whole stupid bullying thing, but the rest of these women aren't listening.
Maria is constantly interrupting Jess...even after Jess just said that she (Maria) constantly interrupts her...and she continues interrupting. I can't stand it. Jess is trying to finish her thought process, but honestly, I don't think she did...because, you know...it's the Maria show.

Thank goodness. We get a break from Maria. Lexi is called up to the couch. Recap of her story with Joey and when she told him about her reproductive issues. Lots of people reached out to her. Golden lady Susan is in tears in the audience.

Next up Jenn. She looks so pretty. I love that she has a deep shade of green on. Looks great on her. Not many wear that color.
Recap of her relationship with Joey.
She talks about how the show impacted her relationship with her mom. A lovely, intelligent, articulate and kind lady. If only she could be the next lead.

Help me. MeMeMaria is up next on the hot seat. We have to listen to her relationship story with Joey. Is she misunderstood or did she bring this on herself? I think it is a mix of both. She started off misunderstood and then she became more and more obnoxious.
Sydney is sort of apologizes. Maria says she just gets upset when she is being attacked. She then does a PR stunt and goes hugging the ladies she had issues with and talks about how wonderful it would have been if they got along in the house. They can be friends outside. Sure. Not buying any of this Maria redemption tour.

Interesting that Kathy and Susan of Golden Bach now have their own Bachelor podcast.

Finally, back to Mexico and the "we have to talk" note.
Poor Joey is all confused and freaked out that something is wrong. Don't cry Joey. He doesn't want Kelsey to leave. He wants her to want to be there. His worst nightmare...and here is the knock.
It is clear that this is all tptb. Kelsey is trying to spit out what the issue is. Joey looks like a deer in head lights. She tells him how much she misses him and wants to meet his family. He is so relieved. He worries that he may shut down because this pushed his buttons. She is upset that she upset him. Now they are both scared...she that she messed up in how she wrote that letter and he that he freaked out so bad that he holds back his emotions.
Stupid tptb!

We get to the FD RC.
Poor Rachel. Hoping against all hope. Kelsey is worried. Daisy is feeling good, but still not sure. She loves both the ladies and feels bad that one of them...any of the 3...has to go.
Joey comes and is apologetic because there are a lot of feelings here.
Not surprised Daisy gets the first rose since he basically telegraphed his worst fears...which freaks out Kelsey, so means she isn't getting the first one. Kelsey is next.
Rachel is understandably upset. The girls hug it out and then with Joey. He walks her out.
He will always have love for her. She is special and he wants her in his life and wants her to be ok, but he knows he isn't in love with her and won't get there. He is so sweet. She will always have love for him too. They are both so nice.
Rachel is crying watching this back. As sad as it was, she can see how much love there was between them. She still thinks he is amazing. She sees Susan in the audience and that makes both of them cry. So much sweetness on the stage! See how lovely it is without MeMeMaria!

Joey arrives for his chat with Rachel. Maria is in the background with a smirk on her face because the attention isn't on her.
Rachel and Joey hugged it out. They both learned from this and have a great friendship. She enjoyed watching him cry when he let her go. They both have a lot of respect for one another.
Poor Rachel has been getting a lot of hateful messages on social media after hometowns. People are such a**holes. From what I hear, Maria fans have been out in force.
Jesse asks how many have gotten hate on SM...and many put their hands up...including Susan and Kathy from the golden ladies. (Funny how they are not focusing on Maria during the hate stuff.) Jesse actually gives a nice speech about how the hate filled SM has increased and to realize these are real people and to focus on the kindness. Joey reinforces that that and says how much courage it takes to make yourself vulnerable on TV.

I'm not a Maria fan -- didn't like her from the start, and that stint with changing into lingerie (basically) on a group date was just ridiculous and put me off completely. Then, the mean girls took it way too far, and I found myself being on Maria's side with that. She wasn't perfect but holy cow, those girls were bad. I think that rallied the fans behind her, no matter how she acted or treated the mean girls. Now they're rabidly supporting Maria, even though Maria clearly isn't blameless in all the drama. I find her annoying, and REALLY don't want her to be the next Bachelorette, but I won't pile on her like the mean girls did.
I'm at the Lexi part, and I agree with her that Joey has set the bar high for any future suitors! He's awesome.

Now Joey is talking about how the journey was. He praises all the ladies. Sydney says she received a lot of hate mail during the show and that Joey reached out to her to make sure she was ok and that the nice Joey we saw on the show is that way in real life. All the ladies ask if has any single friends or fathers of friends! It's a love fest out there.
The outtakes are cute...the girls imitating one another...and Rachel imitating him getting ready to hand out roses. Too funny. Joey stuffing his face with macarons while waiting for Maria to buy her clothes. Some photoshop with Joey talking about how great Jesse is. Some additional bloopers...also cute.
Clearly, this was a good season with people...who mostly...liked and respected one another. It always starts with the lead. Good work Joey. Hope you find your HEA.
Joey leaves...and Jesse shows the preview to the end of the season and pretends that the ending is anything but the usual. They try to make it seem as if he left alone and heartbroken. The more they push this scenario, the more we know that is not how it goes. Nice try editors. We've watched this once or twice...or 30+ seasons. Please.

They sure did push Maria on us last night. Every time I looked at the screen they were featuring Maria again. Yuckkkkkk! I can't stand her. If TPTB pick her for Bachelorette, and it sure looked like that's what they're planning, I truly won't tune in at all. I know people say that all the time, but not me. When I say I won't watch, I mean it. I don't find her the least bit attractive. And she's a bully & a beyotch.
Joey seems to have picked two really good ones for his final selection. I think that bull at the end was nothing more than a fakeout to us. With all the footage the show has, they can make it look like anything they choose. That's all it was.
The Golden Bachelor contestants seem like lovely women, but c'mon, that season is over & there's no need to keep pushing them on us. Over, Done, Don't care anymore, Go Away.

I am hoping that after next week, the runner up will become the heartbroken next Bette. They will be heavily featured and we have had JoJo become the lead after being F2. Either Kelsey or Daisy would be better than Maria. Both are beautiful and sweet and got along with everyone. Meanwhile, Maria has had drama after drama associated with her, including last night. She tried to show a kinder side, but I am not buying it. She did not play well with the other women and today in US Weekly admitted she was pulling stunts. I do not want to watch the lead playing games with the other contestants. Plus, I do not think that we have ever had a lead who had issues getting along with others on their first season from which they were selected for the lead. www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/bachelors-maria-was-pulling-stunts-before-joey-sent-her-home/

I don’t think she was referring to her interactions with the other contestants when she said she was pulling stunts. The article implies that “pulling stunts” refers to her threatening to leave. (Those words are highlighted with a link to an article about that threat.)
Whatever she meant, I wasn’t impressed with the games she played with Joey at the end.

Yes, I read that as well, but pulling that effects not only Joey, but the other women as well. They think "go, goodbye, thank fully she is going and we can get rid of the drama"...and then...she's back. Plus, pulling those stunts takes time away from everyone else because Joey being the nice guy he is, goes to talk to her and deal with her BS, meaning he doesn't have as much time with the others and some women get no time at all. I don't like people who play games. Period. It is annoying and childish and shows me that person is insecure and is all about attention seeking. I sure as he** don't want that in the next lead.

Unfortunately for those of us who aren't Maria fans, she has a HUGE social media following. If TPTB want to pull in a younger demographic of viewer, they might cast her.
I'd rather any of the other girls in the F4 be cast over her. IMO, if she's not F1, Daisy would be a popular pick. She's darling. I can imagine lots of guys being interested in being with her. I saw a comment online from someone who knows her and confirmed that she's a total sweetheart. I think Rachel and Kelsey would be good too. I don't know about Rachel and Kelsey, but I know Daisy has a pretty big sm following too, if that's what producers care about.

I liked Maria more than a lot of people here, but I'm getting a bit tired of her. She's coming across as more petulant than plainspoken. I think there is a good chance she'll be bachelorette based on the way they edited her and made the Women Tell All mostly about her.
I'm not sure what I think a season with her would be like. She's kind of like if Hannah Brown and Kaitlyn Bristowe had a baby but not nearly as charming as either of them. It could be a wildly, wonderfully, unpredictably chaotic and fun season or just a total trainwreck. If they cast her, guess we'll see.

I don't know about Rachel and Kelsey, but I know Daisy has a pretty big sm following too, if that's what producers care about. Both Maria and Daisy have big SM followings and they are about the same age so I imagine both would pull in the same younger demographic. Ultimately, IMO they will go with who they want regardless of SM numbers. Who has the story line that they can exploit? Daisy is sweet and kind and hasn't really caused any drama on the season. She has a hearing loss and that journey has been brought up numerous times during this season. Tptb can pat their backs about featuring diversity. This time not racial diversity, but rather someone with a disability. That would be a first for them. She would continue with the feel good seasons we have had recently with Golden Bachelor and Joey. Maria was in a serious car accident and it shattered their family as mom left them after. This too was brought up numerous times. Personally, I think this would be a more difficult story line to showcase. Is this why she was a b*tch to other women? How to explain that going forward? They tried...or rather she tried...to kiss and make up during WTA, but I don't know that that went down all that well. Yes, she was featured heavily, but I don't know that people necessarily bought it...unless they were already fans. I can't see this being a feel good season. I see tons of drama and sex would be front and center. A nastier Kaitlyn season. From what I have gathered from bachelordata these two have by far the biggest numbers of followers. Kelsey and Rachel I think could also do a "nice" season, along with Jenn or Lexi. Lexi could have a good storyline with the infertility as that hasn't been done. Jenn could be the first lead of Asian descent. Ultimately, tptb will go with who they want. Who can bring the drama, tears, romance...and whose vulnerabilities they can exploit. For me, Maria would do what they want, but it I don't feel she is a good enough actress to make it believable...for me anyways. I guess we will have to wait and see what never before happening occurs on Monday and how it effects the followers and the dynamics. Fingers crossed Kelsey or Daisy blow up...one as Joey's F1 and the other as the beloved F2 who everyone wants to see get her own happy ending...blowing all thoughts of a Maria season out the window. It will have to be big because it looks as if the Bette will start filming shortly after.

Regarding when The Bachelorette starts shooting, Reality Steve says will start this week, maybe as soon as tomorrow night with the limo entrance portion. That's a fast turnaround for whoever ends up being the lead.

That's a fast turnaround for whoever ends up being the lead. It is always a quick turn around for the Bette filming. I think 2 weeks is the most they get and I think there was one season that they started filming before the Bachelor final even aired. (I want to say it was Jillian's season, but I'm not sure.) Now let's get on with it. Can't wait to see the final.
