Hopefully she gets a lengthy prison sentence, it sounds like she was one of the higher ups in the cult. I think it is safe to say her career is over.

Anjelica Huston Defends Woody Allen and Tambor, Says of Polanski: ‘These Things Happen’
Anjelica Huston is coming to the defense of filmmakers Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, and actor Jeffrey Tambor. In a candid interview with Vulture, the actress held court on topics as wide-ranging as beating Oprah for the Oscar in 1986 to Jack Nicholson’s cocaine habits. The interview was supposedly in support of her new movie, “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum,” Keanu Reeves’ action vehicle in which Huston plays The Director, although many more questions focused on her love life and celebrity friends. In her long and storied life and career, Huston has overlapped with a fair amount of Hollywood elites, including a few disgraced filmmakers and actors. Huston was famously at Jack Nicholson’s house the day director Roman Polanski raped 13-year-old Samantha Geimer, a crime for which he pleaded guilty to “unlawful sexual intercourse with aIn her long and storied life and career, Huston has overlapped with a fair amount of Hollywood elites, including a few disgraced filmmakers and actors. Huston was famously at Jack Nicholson’s house the day director Roman Polanski raped 13-year-old Samantha Geimer, a crime for which he pleaded guilty to “unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.” “It’s a story that could’ve happened 10 years before in England or France or Italy or Spain or Portugal, and no one would’ve heard anything about it. And that’s how these guys enjoy their time. It was a whole playboy movement in France…it was de rigueur for most of those guys like Roman who had grown up with the European sensibility,” Huston said of Polanski’s behavior. When pressed further, she added: “My opinion is: He’s paid his price, and at the time that it happened, it was kind of unprecedented. This was not an unusual situation.” Huston gave as an example a relationship she had with a 42-year-old when she was 18. “But these things happen, that’s what I’m saying. These things weren’t judged on the same basis that they’re judged on now. So you can’t compare them.” Continuing in that vein, Huston worked with Woody Allen on two films: “Crimes and Misdemeanors” and “Manhattan Murder Mystery.” When pressed about the director’s alleged child abuse, she insisted that “two states investigated him, and neither of them prosecuted him,” before answering that she would work with Allen again “in a second.” More recently, Huston appeared opposite Jeffrey Tambor in “Transparent,” Jill Soloway’s Amazon series in which Tambor played the transgender protagonist Maura Pfefferman. Huston played Maura’s girlfriend on seasons two and three. She defended her co-star when asked about the allegations of sexual misconduct made against him by two women, Trace Lysette and Van Barnes, one an actress on the show and the other Tambor’s assistant at the time. “At least insofar as I was concerned, nobody did or said anything inappropriate. I do think in this work we have to feel freedom. We have to feel as though we can say and do things that are not necessarily judged, particularly by the other people in the cast or crew,” Huston said. When pressed to say whether she was offering a defense of Tambor, Huston replied: “Yes, that is fair. He certainly never said or did anything inappropriate with me.”

She won't forgive a critic that gave a bad review of her in a movie, but she'll forgive a person who rapes kids?

In case anyone hasn't seen it and would like to, the documentary An Open Secret, about child molestation in Hollywood, is still available for free on Vimeo. I watched it this morning. Upsetting, but important to see, I think.

I don't get Anglica's "it was a different time" argument at all. It was never OK for a grown man to have sex with a a 13-year-old regardless of what Hollywood folks may have been doing. Not OK!

So let me get this straight.......Eliza was sexually harassed by MW and CBS paid her 9.5 million in a settlement YET CBS is renewing BULL and keeping MW???????? Whatttttttt.......... SS has done the right thing. TY SS. Bull Renewed for Season 4 at CBStvline.com/2019/05/09/bull-renewed-season-4-cbs-michael-weatherly/The jury is no longer out on Bull: CBS has renewed the Michael Weatherly procedural for Season 4, TVLine has confirmed. The pickup comes after a tumultuous year in which the series found itself in #MeToo’s crosshairs after word got out last December that former cast member Eliza Dushku reached a $9.5 million settlement with CBS over claims she was sexually harassed by Weatherly during her time on the show. I n a stinging Boston Globe op-ed, Dushku outlined in great detail the atmosphere on the CBS procedural — including lewd comments Weatherly allegedly made toward her — that led to her lodging a formal complaint. She was fired not long afterward. Weatherly denied having anything to do with Dushku being written off the show, but admitted that he engaged in behavior that was “both not funny and not appropriate,” adding, “I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza.”
Steven Spielberg, who is an EP on Bull, has severed ties with the series in the wake of CBS’ renewal. Bull‘s freshly-minted Season 4 renewal has been met with controversy. Per Deadline, Steven Spielberg — who serves as an EP on the procedural via Amblin Television — is, with his production company, walking away from the show. News of Spielberg’s exit broke mere minutes after CBS announced it was bringing the Michael Weatherly drama back next season.

They renewed it because people are watching it...... People were watching Roseanne, and that didn't stop ABC from taking a stand against racism. Like I said, the sexist culture at CBS hasn't changed and money is more important than morals.

Self-help guru Tony Robbins accused of sexual misconduct, berating victims of rapewww.usatoday.com/story/life/2019/05/17/tony-robbins-accused-sexual-misconduct-buzzfeed-investigation/3706737002/"Robbins has not been a fan of the #MeToo movement: Last spring, leaked video emerged of him calling the movement an excuse for some women to “try and get significance” by “attacking and destroying someone else". He apologized later."JERK. "Secret recordings and transcripts from inside his events reveal Robbins has unleashed expletive-laden tirades on survivors of rape and domestic violence after inviting them to share their stories in front of a vast audience," "She’s (expletive) using all this stuff to try and control men," Robbins reportedly said after one woman said she had been raped. In 2018, after another woman said her husband was physically violent and emotionally abusive, Robbins accused her of 'lying' and asked, "Does he put up with you when you’ve been a crazy (expletive)?JERK

I've always found Tony Robbins SUPER creepy. I don't have any trouble believing those allegations. I tend to be suspicious of those self-titled self-help gurus to begin with, but he's one of the worst. The videos of people losing their minds and cheering at his events are disturbing. I don't think I've felt that way about anyone....except maybe Duran Duran when I was 15!

Rumors allege sexual misconduct, but there has been no official statement yet. Jason Mitchell Dropped From The Chi Following Misconduct Allegations"Jason Mitchell, best known for his roles in Straight Outta Compton and Mudbound, has been dropped from the cast of The Chi and the upcoming Netflix film Desperados following allegations of misconduct. According to The Hollywood Reporter: A source with knowledge of the Showtime series says Tiffany Boone, who played Mitchell’s girlfriend on The Chi, was among several actresses on the series who had issues with Mitchell. She made repeated complaints of sexual harassment and allegedly felt so unsafe with her co-star that at times her fiance, Dear White People actor Marque Richardson, came to set when she shot scenes with him. Boone declined to comment. The source also says Boone ultimately informed producers at Fox 21 that she could no longer work with Mitchell. Initially, he was retained while she was released at her request to pursue other projects. Other actresses on the series also were said to have had problems with Mitchell. It’s unclear what finally led the studio to act. The sources added that it wasn’t just the cast of The Chi who had problems with Mitchell, but that all three of his costars on Desperados—Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp and Robbie Amell—had complaints about him before filming even began. He’s since been replaced by Lamorne Morris, who you probably know as Winston on New Girl. He’s also been fired from his agency, UTA Management Company. Mitchell was previously investigated for assault in 2016 when a woman accused him of slamming her to the ground in a Boston hotel."

www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/cbs-news-scott-pelley-i-was-fired-for-complaining-about-hostile-workplace/ar-AABWLDX?ocid=spartanntp60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley says he was let go as host of the CBS Evening News because he spoke up to his bosses about the “hostile” workplace within the network’s news division. In an interview with CNN’s Brian Stelter on Sunday’s Reliable Sources, Pelley explains, “We’ve been through a dark period of the last several years of incompetent management and sort of a hostile work environment within the news division. I lost my job at the evening news because I wouldn’t stop complaining to management about the hostile work environment.” Pelley — who served as anchor of the CBS Evening News from 2011 to 2017 — went on to share that four or five years ago, he approached management with his concerns. “I went to the president of the news division and explained to him that this hostile work environment couldn’t go on — for women and men — and he told me that if I kept agitating about that, internally, that I’d lose my job,” Pelley reveals. “I went to his boss, who told me that he didn’t share my concerns. And so, having exhausted the possibilities in the news division, I went to the chairman of the CBS Corporation, who listened to me, very concerned, for an hour, asked me some penetrating questions about what was going on. I didn’t hear back from him, but in the next opportunity in my contract, I was let go from the evening news.” (At the time, Les Moonves was chairman of CBS Corporation, while David Rhodes served as president of CBS News.) But with the current new regime at CBS — which includes a new chairman, the first woman president of the news division and a new executive producer at 60 Minutes — “now everything has changed,” Pelley says, adding that “it’s all blue sky from here. I’m very excited. I know these people, and I know that we’re on the right track.”

Jeffrey Epstein is in custody; looks as though he will be formally charged today for running a sex-trafficking operation out of his 21,000 square foot townhouse in Manhattan.
It is suspected that other well-known individuals will be implicated.

The Kevin Spacey suit here in Massachusetts has hit a snag. The boy’s mother deleted information from the phone that is the key piece of evidence and now the phone is missing. The police gave it back to the family (without any receipt) and the family says they don’t remember getting it. The hearing about where the phone is has taken over all our channels today. I have to say it sounds awfully fishy. I’m not trying to defend Spacey, but the boy admits he told Spacey he was older and had every opportunity to leave the situation, which he didn’t. The boy is being very evasive on the stand.

...later the same day: after giving testimony, the boy changed his mind and invoked the 5th (after being televised!) so it was stricken from the record. The father was just on and was VERY combative. The judge was this close to holding him in contempt after several warnings. Editing to update: the mother (a former news anchor) testified that she removed things from the phone before she handed it into the police, but nothing relevant to the case. However, the defense showed that SOMEONE deleted relevant texts and that many of the things she deleted were of the son binge drinking, which could dilute their claim that Spacey “plied him” with drinks. It’s possible the case will be thrown out and even possible the mom could be charged with deleting evidence which is a severe federal offense.
