My daughter and I loved it too. I would go see it again in a heartbeat. Not knowing it was based on a book series, right after it finished I told my daughter I hope there is a sequel. She looked it up and said there is one planned (confirmed?)

My mother took me to see that movie. It was great. Her college friend was so funny.

The movie was so enjoyable! I hadn't read the books, but I knew of them. I did hear that there were sequel(s) planned.

Loved this movie so much that I ran and got the book. The soundtrack is also wonderful. I will say the Book and the Movie style are very different the Book is more of how Joy luck club was done while the movie is more fluid..

The book and the movie endings are very different.

Finally got the DVD from the library and loved it. Michelle Yeoh is gorgeous and perfect as Nick's mother, and I loved Awkwafina and her crazy family. They changed some things from the book but not drastically so. The actress that plays Astrid is gorgeous. And I loved the hidden meaning in the Majong game at the end.
