John Wick 4 was everything it needed to be.

Meg 2: The Trench - not bad. The first part dragged a bit but the last hour was over the top fun. Plus, Jason Statham.

Weirdest movie ever. Recommended to us by a man in his mid-30s, and our grandson (same age range) thought it was awesome. All we can say is, "Well, that was weird."

Meg 2: The Trench - not bad. The first part dragged a bit but the last hour was over the top fun. Plus, Jason Statham. I watched it last night! I did think the sharks were suuuper fake. They looked like paper mache. Still, like you said, Jason Statham....and a little Cliff Curtis too, which is always a good thing in my book. Those movies are never going to win awards (unless it's a Razzie! ), but they're fun. Not as good as the first movie, but that's generally always the case.

The Menu (not sure what to think of it to be honest...) That one was "interesting". I do get the point though.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse was kind of mid. I was so excited for that movie and was expecting something more dark and Jacob Laddery, but nope. While I liked it, I think a lot of potential was wasted.

I watched "The Haunted Mansion" remake and it was super cute? Like the new Hocus Pocus movie, Disney really dropped the ball making it a summer release rather than the fall.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines - good cast but the movie itself was pretty uninspired and unscary. Meh.

^I saw the reviews...how disappointing...
Sick...saw it over the weekend. It's loosely related to the pandemic (Covid)...decent thriller.

We watched Talk to Me, the horror movie with the hand. I liked it, my husband thought it was okay. It was one of those movies that you weren't sure what was reality and what wasn't. It moved fast and held my attention.

Watched The Kill Room with Uma Thurman, Samuel L Jackson, and the guy who played the werewolf in True Blood. If you like art scam movies this is great. An assassin and his boss make a deal with an unscrupulous art dealer to launder cash through her gallery through the "sale" of paintings created by the assassin. Trouble arises when the assassin's art actually catches on and his work makes a huge splash in the art world, putting the whole operation in jeorpardy. I enjoyed it.

KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON
Absolutely wonderful.
I see OSCARS for this outstanding cast.
So much heartache for the Osage tribe.

Did anyone see the movie called Piggy? Its about an obese girl that is getting bullied and tormented by a group of other girls, and she witnesses them being kidnapped. She has to decide on whether to try to help them or act like she didn't see anything.

I was in a retro hiphop mood so I watched Beat Street, lol. The documentary "Wild Style" is still hard to find, and "Breakin'" 1 and 2 basically used the dancers as a backdrop for some suburban girl's life so hard pass on that. I miss the creativity of Old New York; it might have had its issues but art and talent wasn't one of them.

An old friend and I have recently created our own unofficial book club. If the book has an accompanying movie or TV series, we also watch those and discuss them. It's kind of fun!
We were looking for a new author (we both love crime mysteries) to read. We've settled on Jeffrey Deaver. We read "The Bone Collector," and I decided to splurge $3.99 to watch the movie on OnDemand.
The book was very gory . . . the movie slightly less so. It follows many of the same situations as the book, but the actors are not like the characters described in the book. It was definitely a well-done movie . . . but the ending was a sappy Christmas reunion with the family that did not happen in the book. The book ending was MUCH better, and much more in line with the entire tone of the rest of the book.

As someone who has read the book and seen the movie I agree. While I enjoyed the movie and Denzel Washington as Rhymes I liked the book more.
Watched King of New York yesterday for the first time and loved it. I have no idea why I've never watched it before because that movie is STACKED with actors I love, and I really enjoy Urban Noir.

Had a slight headache yesterday so I went to lay down.
I put on HBO to see if there were interesting movies.
EDWARD SCISSORHANDS (1990) and I think 1990 was the last time I watched it!!!!!
Loved it all over again!!! A glimpse of Vincent Price!!!!
