While I enjoyed Emma in Poor Things I watched Anatomy Of A Fall Last night and Sandra Huller was amazing in it. I've liked her ever since I saw Toni Erdmann, but her performance in AOAF was next level. Both she and Lily Gladstone were robbed of that Oscar. And while we're on the subject, the dog deserved an Oscar as well, lol. I want to see that movie. I heard the problem with Lily Gladstone was that it was more of a supporting role. If she would have gotten that nomination, she would have been a sure thing. I haven't seen the movie. I had a hold on the blu-ray at the library and the studio decided to make it streaming only. I'm not paying to see it. If it comes out, I'll see it. We had a lot of confused and angry patrons over this. It's on Hulu right now if you're interested!

Little Things with Denzel Washington and Rami Malik.
Not that great. I'm not fond of flashbacks when it's hard to tell which time frame is being shown.

Rewatched Basquiat for the first time in a long time. This movie was my first introduction to a bb Jeffrey Wright. He was a fine actor then that's only gotten better with time.

Went to see Dev Patel's Monkey Man and while it started slow and slightly confusing it turned around during the midpoint. Is very critical about the ruling caste in India (which is why it's getting criticism in certain circles). I also like the fact that it gave a group of people rarely seen in Indian media a voice. Overall, I enjoyed it, and while some editing was needed it was a great director debut.

I have to admit that the last 15 minutes was very "Indian John Wick" and I loved every minute of it! I also loved the scene where the Hijra Temple ladies dressed up like Kali to fight with Dev.

It's a Wonderful Knife. Yes, a young woman wishes she was never born after she kills a high profile businessman who is also a serial killer. I went in with low expectations and ended up enjoying it. Justin Long and Joel McHale were in it.

Talk to Me - one of the better horror films I've seen recently, pretty creepy and well paced.
Poor Things - loved Emma Stone and the whole steampunk vibe. I'm glad I watched it but won't watch it again.

I'm glad I watched it but won't watch it again. Same. I watched it a month ago and I still think about certain scenes. I can definitely understand why you're not up for a rewatch because some of it is very disturbing.

Hoodlum: I had no idea this was based on a real person when I watched it a long time ago. Even though the film is set in Harlem they filmed in Chicago (a fact I realized when watching a scene while thinking "Isn't that Lasalle street lol?"). It looks like Lawerence Fishburne and Vanessa Williams have had the most successful careers since, and I would really like to see Tim Roth in more things because I quite enjoy him when he pops up.

Far From The Madding Crowd w/Carey Mulligan I loved this 2015 film. I watched it on HBO a few days ago. I love Carey Mulligan films.
