Has anyone else watched October Faction yet? I just started it and am totally hooked. I loved Tamara Taylor on Bones and it's so fun to see her in a totally different role. Yeap, when it came out. It was good.

Locke & Key series - Following their father's murder, three siblings move into a house filled with reality-bending keys. The premise and curiosity of it all is what hooked but then there was one dumb mistake after another by these kids and useless teen drama. They dragged the key reveals out then didn’t spend enough time exploring them. It was CW level and I guess I wanted something darker and bigger. I’d give it a watch. Mythomaniac series - Hoping for more love and attention from her family, a woman pretends she has cancer with unforeseen consequences. What this woman does is wrong but you begin to feel for her and even more so as the story goes on. The ending left a great setup for season 2. Omniscient series - In a city where citizens are monitored 24/7, a tech employee must outsmart her surveillance drone in order to investigate her fathers murder. A dystopian future drama that lacks. Ares series - Aiming to become part of the elite, a college student joins an exclusive society and must decide how far she is willing to go to rise up the ranks. It was more complicated than it needed to be and the characters didn’t evolve enough to ever become interesting. Good dark mysterious atmosphere though. The Stranger series - Follows the lives of suburban families whose secrets and lies are made public by the appearance of a stranger. Harlan Coben series did not disappoint!! Ragnarok series- A Norwegian town experiencing warm winters and violent downpours seems to be headed for another Ragnarok unless someone intervenes in time. A modern mythology story. I was confused at times due to the superhero story aspect I had no idea about but I enjoyed it. The Gift series – A woman embarks on a journey as she unearths secrets about an archaeological site and its link to her past. I was immediately sucked into this story! It was a mystery series with a new take. Horse Girl movie - A socially awkward woman finds her increasingly lucid dreams trickling into her waking life. Alison Brie gave a great performance as someone with mental illness but I wouldn’t recommend this movie. Daddy Issues movie – No idea why I pressed play and finished it. I wouldn’t even know how to describe it. The Invisible Guest movie - A man wakes up in a locked hotel room next to the body of his dead lover. He hires a lawyer and over the course of one night, they work together to find out what happened. This Spanish thriller was so good!! The way the story is told and starts to unfold is seamless.

Locke & Key - I enjoyed it but it could have been darker. Wasn't a fan of the ending as who knows if there will be a season 2... but I liked the idea of all the different keys and what each did. But they could have expanded so much more on that. I felt they left a lot on the table with plot and character development. A couple twists that were good and then the rest pretty predictable but I would watch if there is a season 2.
Dracula - I didn't think I would like this as the story of Dracula has been told over and over again. But I REALLY enjoyed it. I think why I liked this so much is that it was only three episodes but also the lead female character played by Dolly Wells was PERFECT. Her feisty, snippy, in your face attitude was a perfect match against Dracula.

I finished The Pharmacist today, which I never would have watched without the mentions in this thread. So thank you to those of you who recommended it! I was very moved by the story of the man it focused on, but boy oh boy did he drive me nuts! Several times, he showed such a great example of the mistakes that can be made by assuming that because YOU don't see something happening your perception that nothing is happening is wrong. A couple of times, I really felt for the feds having to deal with him in addition to their investigations! Though at the end of the day his determination made a difference, it still drove me nuts!

I watched it and I understand. It was interesting to note even 19 yrs ago how much was not on computer and how much manual investigation needed to be done. It was also interesting to note that it did look as if the DOJ simply did not want to prosecute the doctor and or was big pharma protecting her?

I took it to be more that they knew the case had to be totally buttoned up when they moved forward - that any loophole or circumstantial evidence would let her go free. It’s a lot easier for the novice to say “well duh, it’s her” than it is for the people who have to prosecute it.

We finished IN THE DARK and really enjoyed it!! I did read a SEASON 2 will be out this FALL!!! Since the season 1 premiere was last April, I think it's probably coming back this spring. It was a mid-season show, so it finished up in June. I don't think the CW would wait that long to release season 2 OR would move it to the fall schedule.

Plowed through Ragnarok. I got excited when they brought in the "old" people and language from Iceland. I recently found out that, besides Swedish, I'm also Norwegian and Icelandic. The brother sure has Loki characteristics. AND...who is the old woman in the grocery who marked Magne and he changed? Is she the Seer, or a witch?

The Pharmacist - the man who started the investigation was really annoying at times, but I did feel for him. Shows how out of control the drug problem was/still is.
Locke & Key - I really enjoyed it, though I wish they'd went more in with the gothic horror stuff and less with the teen drama mess. Still, it was a fun watch.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Part 3 - probably my favorite season yet. Next part will be interesting with how this one ended...
The Car: Road to Revenge - I thought it would be a fun B-horror waste of time, but it was really, really dumb. Not even fun dumb, just dumb.
I Am a Killer - because I can't resist true crime documentaries. I felt bad for some of the convicts, but some...not so much.
Luna Nera - a tale of witches in 17th century Italy. It was okay, got better towards the end. If you watch with subtitles on, it is WAY off from the dubbing, which was mildly annoying.
The Sinner - how have I not watched this series yet?? So good, kept me guessing most of the way through. Tore through the first season and will start the second soon. I think the third is currently airing on USA network.
The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez - a really sad documentary about an abused little boy who was let down by everyone around him. Not a pleasant series to watch, but it shows how incredibly screwed up the Los Angeles DCFS is.

The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez - completely heartbreaking, awful, disturbing. How so many could fail this one child is unspeakable...
Love is Blind - I haven't screamed at the TV since Paradise Hotel/Forever Eden days. This reality TV dating show was everything and more. Nuts
Pandemic - I don't do good with these type of shows and now I feel I should wear gloves everywhere and live in a plastic bubble.

I started watching The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez. It was one of the hardest things I've ever started watching. It started triggering a lot of the pain I went through as an abused child, and Mr. AZC finally gently told me that it wouldn't be a good idea to finish watching it.
I feel like I'm being disloyal to Gabriel and others like him (us) by not watching it. But I want to visualize him in heaven, sitting on Jesus' lap, both of them laughing like crazy . . .with Gabriel having no memory of what happened to send him to heaven way too soon.
And I visualize his female birth vessel and her boyfriend being attacked daily in prison until they die and begin serving time in hell. Every day there, I hope they get a quick window into heaven so they can see Gabriel and Jesus laughing together.

You're not being disloyal to abused children by not watching; his case is extreme even by abuse parameters and is extremely hard to watch. Some things just hit too close to home, and that's okay. I made the decision not to watch when I heard that according to the autopsy all that poor baby had in his stomach at the time of death was cat litter.

I felt the same way about "When They See Us." I watch TV and movies as entertainment and mild forms of escapism; I don't watch things as entertainment that happen every day on the news that frustrate and anger me...especially when it's true, horrible stores.
