I know I can't watch the Gabriel Fernandez series. Couldn't watch the one about the cat abuser either. I just don't need that stuff in my head. Even reading descriptions of those series messed me up for days I watched the first 3 minutes of the cat one . . . not going any further with that. I watched that, because I was told there was very little about cats, & it was more about the people online that tracked Luka Magnotta down. It was a big case here, but I never connected all the dots before, until this show. It was friggin amazing..

Just started watching Restaurants on the Edge this afternoon and now I NEED to go to Malta (and Hong Kong and....). Such a cool take on the restaurant rehab theme.

The Sinner - season two, just as good as the first. I love Bill Pullman and his little crooked grin. I Am Not Okay With This - teen drama, sort of like Pretty in Pink meets Carrie. I'm not the target audience, I'm sure, but it was fun. That ending! Babylon Berlin - season three. I am obsessed with this show! Twelve episodes this time, and I'm trying to make them last...

Freaks movie: A young girl who is not allowed outdoors, makes discovery after she escapes her father's protective and paranoid control. Big fan of Emile Hirsch and this sci fi, drama, thriller, action pact movie does not disappoint. All the Bright Places movie - Violet and Theodore meet and change each other's lives as they struggle with the emotional scars of their past. If you like Nicholas Sparks, watch this. To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You - Just as cute as the first movie. I Am Not Okay with This series - A teenager navigates the complexities of high school, family and her sexuality while dealing with new superpowers. Quick watch that keeps your attention and leaves you wanting more! The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez docuseries- A boy's murder and the trials of his guardians and social workers prompt questions about the system's protection of vulnerable children. This is a tough watch that will make you angry, sad, and frustrated. The docuseries as a whole was greatly done with the way it laid out everything in detail to show how something awful like this could happen to an innocent child. Gabriel deserves to have his story heard.

I know what it is about, I saw some of it and it makes be so sad and angry. I want to kill that "mother" and the boyfriend. I'm glad his story is being told though. That poor angel. My workplace is currently closed for at least 2 weeks, so I will have plenty of time to watch Netflix.
We watched season 2 of Kingdom. It did not disappoint! I just wish it were more episodes but then I wouldn't want them to stretch the story line. Some of the zombie attack scenes were epic!

We just started the new season of Kingdom also - it's excellent! They do go all out for their attack scenes, it makes The Walking Dead look like a kiddie show.

Boy, I've heard/ read of abuse, but this is ..I have no words. I've cried, I've been angry, but I'm glad Gabriel is in a much, much better place. What a screwed up system and everyone covering their collective asses!

I've watched Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby so many times. It's my favorite stand-up special on Netflix at the moment. Sometimes when I'm dealing with insomnia, I'll play a movie or TV show that's very familiar to me on my phone and that helps me fall asleep. The last few nights, it's been Mr. Meyers. I don't know if that's so flattering, but I do love him.

For me, I’ve watched the movie Steve Jobs so many times that I can close my eyes listening to the dialogue and picture the scenes. So that’s my insomnia cure movie. Incidentally, it’s on Netflix now and I highly recommend it to anyone whose never seen it!

For a while, I used the Veronica Mars movie, which I can still nearly recite verbatim. Then I moved over to The Other Woman with Cameron Diaz and Leslie Mann. I've also done episodes of The Walking Dead, which is so familiar I could recite it. I have found a few things on Amazon music that help, but for some reason, video (even if I have my eyes closed) seems to work better.
With so many productions closing down right now, Netflix is going to be scrambling for new content soon. Then we'll all have to re-watch some old favorites!

It’s funny with a few of my friends asking these days for show recommendations on Netflix I had a minute today where I paused and thought “wait Netflix has movies too”. It wasn’t that long ago when I first heard Netflix was doing an original series and it seemed like such an odd concept! Now we’ve forgotten they started with movies!
Yes, I’m talking about the Fassbender /Winslet Steve Jobs. I LOVE a good Aaron Sorkin script, and the level of detail that Danny Boyle put in to directing it is just so good!

This isn't strictly Netflix, but many of these films are on Netflix, but it's more about Comcast/Xfinity. In your "Search" mode you can enter the name of a favorite actor or director and if any movies are coming up with that artist it will record it for you. Currently I have Clint Eastwood, Coen Brothers and Denzel Washington.
And, while I'm OT, Season 4 of the Fargo TV series starts next month!!! Yay!

Spenser Confidential - Former police office released from jail exacts revenge. It was funnier than I thought it would be. Not bad.
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, Madness - Documentary on a zoo's that have exotic animals like big cats. Nothing like I thought it would be... Nearly every episode my mouth fell open. This was NUTS!!! I never had heard of this story before watching this but every person is guilty in some way or another.

Over the weekend I watched two movies -
Mary Poppins Return - escapist fun!
Fighting With my Family - good story, would have been better if it had a little more heart. But Florence Pugh was very good.

Over the past week I've become hooked on The Chef Show. There's just something so soothing about it! I've always liked Jon Favreau, and feel like this show is kind of a comeback for Dinner for Five. Instead of being five people sitting around a table eating, it's the host, the chef, and the guest who showed up early having conversation while they cook the dinner.

OMG beerbelly ..... just about every person that works with tigers were missing their TEETH.......what the what!!!! How does that happen??? I had NO idea that that many people had LARGE CATS on their property??? How about that lady that had a "LIGER"??? Did I hear that right when they said one of the places charged $300 or more to see their CATS and people lined up to pay that amount???

It does have everything. This was the best show to get your mind off things going on in the world. A train wreck doesn't even come close to how nuts this show was. I couldn't believe that this was real people and their stories because I don't think anyone could write the insanity that we saw watching this.

I went on the Myrtle Beach cat website and yes they really do charge that amount. And there is a package where you can stay in some "cat" mansion with a large group for thousands of dollars. That whole place reminded me of a cult. Very weird.
