Netflix has new shows dropping today, highly recommend Trollhunters...it looks like a kids animated show but it has a really good story.

Oh, is there a better way to search Netflix, I don't always like how they prepick stuff based on what I have viewed?

Use the search function at the top right of the screen (if you know the title) or on the upper left use the drop down to search in genres.

I just watched Mamma Mia again! I love that musical! We first saw it, what seems now like a hundred years ago, live on stage.... twice (because it was so energizing, fun and enjoyable the first time). Even though my husband was never an Abba fan, we laughed, joined in with the fun. Then when the movie first came out I saw it a few times. Now, after all these years I watched it on Netflix, and it is still just as much fun, as when we first saw it! :heart

I recently watched The Most Hated Woman in America. A true story about the absolutely craziest group of nutcases I've ever seen (and I specialize in crazy ). So worth watching! It is a series that starts with the pizza delivery guy who robbed a bank with a bomb secured around his neck, who then dies from the bomb going off. I kinda' remembered that happening. But the story about the perps who were behind the heist is so insanely bizarre I was riveted. Definitely eight thumbs up!

Same here, even though they are older, they are still really funny guys. Enjoyed the flashbacks on their movies, and Steve is such a fantastic banjo player!!! Loved it. Marty is always funny, when they did that ventriloquist routine we were laughing so hard.

Finally finished THE STAIRCASE..........I have no idea what to think about MP. Both my hubby and I watched and neither of us feel that he DID it or that he did NOT do it. One thing is for sure......what a horrid life that is to lose your wife who you love to pieces and then be consumed for yearssssss with a trial as the State thinks you are a murderer. To anyone that watched it .... www.bustle.com/p/the-owl-theory-says-kathleen-peterson-of-the-staircase-was-actually-killed-by-a-large-bird-9321790 .... this was an interesting theory as to why Kathleen's head was all scratched up. IF there was an OWL .... my theory is the owl did not attack her outside .... I think as she headed up the stairs, the OWL came flying down from the upstairs and they were both spooked by each other (Kathleen and the owl).

Love you, Kar . . . but I think the owl theory doesn't "fly" (pardon the pun). In an attempt to keep an open mind, I discussed the owl theory with Mr. AZC. The article you linked to said that a "microscopic feather" had been found in Kathleen's hair. Let's accept that as fact. What is more likely: - She was attacked by an owl leaving distinct markings on her skull and tearing out portions of her hair. Wouldn't that have caused more than a "microscopic feather" to be left behind? If she were batting at an attacking owl, wouldn't there be feathers all over the place? Or . . .
- She was sitting out back on a chaise lounge in an open area in a city that owls were known to inhabit. There were likely owl feathers or microscopic pieces of feathers that had fallen on the furniture as owls flew by. A piece of feather sticks to her hair. She goes in the house, sees evidence of her husband's infidelity, and when he walks into the house, she tells him that she's leaving and taking her paycheck with her. They scuffle, she falls down the steps, but is not killed instantly. He realizes that if she leaves, he's broke and his reputation is toast. So he bashes her head into the floor/walls of the stairway and - in the process - that one microscopic peace of a feather becomes stuck to the blood in her hair.
Nope, still not believing that owl theory.

Nope, still not believing that owl theory. Love you too, AZC!!! Well I will admit it was a "stretchhhhhh" I guess I was trying to help MP!!! I mean what about that whole "blow poke" story .... how bizarre was that whole situation .... so ODD. And their best friends .... Margaret and Martha's mother died ALMOST the exact same way??? Oh and MP's double life!!! Oh but I do see YOUR theory.........very interesting.........hmmmmm!!!!!!!!

Season 2 of 'Anne with an E' is now on Netflix. So great to see Anne and the Cuthberts again! I'm always so happy to see a rendition of Anne of Green Gables on tv or in film (or another book, for that matter). Anne was my heroine through my whole childhood and teenage years, and I loved the whole 'Anne' series of books sooooo much. The original Anne of Green Gables was originally written in 1908 and in my family it was my grandmother's very favorite, my mother's very favorite, my very favorite, my daughter's very favorite, and hopefully, soon my granddaughter (who's now 10) will begin reading it and loving it too. We don't have many 'traditions' in our family, but it warms my heart that Anne Shirley is one of them! Here's more information on the 'Anne' series, and author Lucy M Montgomery's inspiration for the series. It's actually a very interesting article. Thanks Wikipedia! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne_of_Green_Gables

So, according to the article, there will be 8 episodes instead of the usual 13....which means the season has “almost been slashed in half.” Math is hard. Also, isn’t that a tad dramatic? I think 8 is plenty to wrap it up. British shows are regularly between 6 and 10 episodes per season and they do just fine.

I am thinking half of 13 episodes = 6.5 episodes .... so maybe they mean 6. Weird...huh. I cannot think of any other series I have watched that had only 6 episodes or 6.5 meaning the Finale would be 90 minutes.

You must not be a British crime show addict like me! Most "series" are between 6 and maybe 12 episodes, but the norm is usually 8. There are several shows in my queue right now that are 6 episodes a season. I just took that comment to be silly dramatics. I'm not worried that the show won't be good. It was always going to end after this coming season. I have no idea if they'd planned for more episodes before the Kevin Spacey debacle or not. I'd rather have six really tight GoC episodes than 13 iffy ones. I think we've all watched shows where they told the story in WAY too many episodes....and also ones that did a better job with fewer. I mean, look at the difference between network and cable shows. Networks shows are usually, what, 18-25 episodes and most cable shows are 10-13-ish and are, in general, much stronger IMO.

For Fans of Julia Quinn's British Regency series, The Bridgertons, SHONDA RHIMES is bringing the books to Netflix. The first project will be the first book - The Duke and I.
All I can say is hooray - I hope she leaves the heavy drama soapy stuff behind and focus on the humor. Hey, Julia's excited.

Oh, is there a better way to search Netflix, I don't always like how they prepick stuff based on what I have viewed? I like it when you pick a show on your list, they will have a section for it titled something like More Like This and you find other shows similar to the ones you already like.
