Update: the sweet and sour brisket turned out great, but I think the next time I make it I'm only going to cook for 5 hours instead of 6 for maximum tenderness. Definitely a dish for special occasions because of the cost of brisket, but one I will try again.

Rice bowl once again featuring grilled chicken breast, Mexican corn, sweet red peppers & onions from my garden, rice and pinto beans topped with avocado and the last of my tomatoes. Lots of food in one bowl but it was satisfying for all three of us!

I made a giant pot of potato, corn and turkey chowder last night, so I won't have to cook for days. I'm very busy with work, so not having to cook for a while is great! Kao - the recipe sounds great. How was it?

What is everyone cooking tomorrow? We're not turkey people and can't do the Whole Foods Vegan Thanksgiving this year because of my partner's new sodium restrictions (tons of it EVERYWHERE, especially in prepared and packaged food) so I'm trying my hand at Orange Roasted Duck.

Dinner tonight is chicken fried steak, gravy and mashed potatoes.
Tomorrow is the traditional Thanksgiving meal and all the trimmings. I am baking a turkey not that we really like it I just need the good juices for my dressing. We are also smoking a ham.
