I watched the 4th Crow movie with Eddie Furlong (the kid from Terminator 2) and David Borenz. 2/10, do not recommend. The first Crow movie is the best one.

I watched The Santa Chronicles 2 today. I loved it, just as I did the first one. Totally different story, but I also liked that they kept the same kids, only older. I also liked the fact that they featured Mrs Clause so much more. My only complaint, although it was minor, was that terribly overused plotline of Cancelling Christmas. The moment someone said: "We'd have to cancel Christmas" I darned near groaned. There was a lot more to the plot than that, thank God. I absolutely loved the elves & the way their origin came from. Kurt Russell needs to put out a Santa Chronicles every year, or at least every 2 years.

And in the morning, we will be watching Wonder Woman 1984. Thanks, HBO Max. Well, I should actually be thanking myself since I'm paying for it. Ha!

Coen Brothers' comedy Burn After Reading. I enjoyed it so much last evening I may watch it again before I return it to the library. All star cast featuring stellar performances and dialogue. George Clooney, Brat Pitt, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Richard Jenkins. Only 96 minutes. R rated.

I watched Jingle Jangle today. It was really good, but it wasn't the Christmas Movie that I expected. I would definitely recommend it though. Really different, in a good way.

With every DC Comics movie released, it becomes painfully obvious why Marvel is superior.

I saw Hillbilly Elegy the other day the other day and really enjoyed it. I hadn't read JD Vance's memoir so I didn't know what to expect. Directed by Ron Howard "A Yale law student drawn back to his hometown grapples with family history, Appalachian values and the American dream" and starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close.

I wanted it to be better than it was I think It feels like someone devised a crappy formula to follow for DC Comics movies that they all seem to follow, minus the Batman movies made with Christian Bale.

Normally the week after Christmas I go to a movie every day. Like with many things this year was different, and I watched all but one of the movies at home. For the one I did go to a theater for I was impressed by the precautions - spacing, only two people in the theater and found it easy to flip my mask up to take a sip from my drink. Here’s my list. In order from what I thought was best to worst. (And in this case the worst was the only bad one - and it was TERRIBLE!)
Promising Young Woman Sylvies Love Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom Let Them All Talk Mank The Midnight Sky

Hubby and I love going to the movies. As does my 4yo Granddaughter. She LOVES the movies as well. We would take her to every NEW (kids) RELEASE. And I am certain the THEATERS want us back. But I live in SoCAL so I highly doubt I will see the inside of a movie theater for sometime.

The theaters desperately want people back! I know a few people in that industry and it’s been painful to see the ups and downs they’ve gone through this year. Hopefully we’ll be in a place soon where you can go Kar - because once you can the studios will get back to releasing a lot more great movies!

The Happytown Murders An enjoyable film noir romp in a world where puppets and people coexist. It might have been the edible but I was oddly into it, lol. Note: This movie is very adult in nature and NOT for children.

Last night Grease II was on. I'd never seen it but have definitely heard of it, if nothing else because of Grease. I'd heard/read that it wasn't very good, but wanted to find out for myself.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. The music wasn't catchy at all and completely unmemorable.
The same could be said for all the leads.
The storyline was cringeworthy. The characters all unlikable.
I didn't make it through to the end. Turned it off well before half way. Then I came back to it to see if it improved. Nope. If anything, worse. Watched about another 20 min & shut it off for good. At least now I know why it never caught on.

Plus, Maxwell Caulfield was such a babe

Totally agree Critical! I thought Maxwell Caulfiled was a dreamboat, and Michele Pfeiffer was my hero! A lot of the acting and the story is over the top - but it's good escapist fun. And I have to admit that for me, I find myself with Cool Rider or Score Tonight in my head more often than Hopelessly Devoted or You're the One that I want.
Grease 2 was clearly not based on a successful Broadway show like the first one was and it shows. But in terms of nostalgia, I'll stop to watch and sing along anytime I pass by it on my channel guide.
