Watched Run Lola Run and was pleasantly surprised that I was able to understand a lot of the German spoken. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/6943657/images/fQqMrRhFTEgZxjoKnOdX.gif) I saw that ages ago and really enjoyed it.

We saw Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. Hubby and I have loved the POTA movies. This was movie #4. Outstanding s/l. Credits at the end leaves one thinking there maybe a #5. I have a hold on that at the library. I grew up on POTA movies back in the day and love the reboot as well. WE watched a movie on Netflix, Shadow in the Cloud with Chloë Grace Moretz. It started out promising and then got really stupid. I don't know what kind of movie it was trying to be, but it failed at it.

I do remember back in college, when my Russian was much better and being able to watch movies in Russian. It was exciting to realize I understood a lot of it.

I'm currently watching a POTA marathon. Looking forward to the latest movie. Hubby and I are coping you, libgirl2!!! Last night we watched " Rise of the Planet of the Apes"!!! (2011) I know we saw it back in 2011 (James Franco is the lead) but it was awesome seeing it again. Caesar is born in this Movie. Next one will be 2014 and then 2017 and then the 4th is the one we just saw at the theater. Hubby is traveling this week for work so we will continue our Marathon on Saturday eve. Oh and guess what .... we had to pay $3.79 to watch " RISE" on Amazon Prime. Oh well no biggie on the price but this movie is 13 years old.

Wow, he was fantastic.

It must be a FoRT trend, because I watched all three POTA movies yesterday! ![:lol](//storage.proboards.com/6943657/images/kZvKcZukVaJcAqJidzda.gif) I watched Rise on Hulu. The other two are on max.
It's amazing how much better the CGI on the apes got from the first to the third movie. It's really incredible how that technology has improved.
Kao - that's amazing! I'm so impressed!

WE watched Imaginary last night. It was fairly standard horror fare but had a few interesting twists. I was glad that I never had an imaginary friend after this! IT was also nice to see Betty Buckley.

I finally got around to watching Little Women (Greta Edition) and loved it. Sairose and Frances was wonderful as Jo and Amy, Timothee was surprisingly good, and the actress that played Beth had a quiet type of charm. The talent in the casting was top notch-- except unfortunately for one person. I felt terrible for all of the reviewers bashing Emma Watson's Meg but then I watched and JFC, she truly is the weakest link in this ensemble; the caliber of acting in this film is such that she stuck out--and not in a good way; the emotional scene where Meg tells her husband that she's tired of being poor was particularly awful Also, James Norton and the actor that plays Friedrich Bhaer were really hot in this, lol. Overall, I really liked it.

Saturday night hubby and I watched the 1955 movie "REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE".
OMG we loved it. A very young 17yo Natalie Wood and 24yo James Dean.
Absolutely awesome movie.
We thoroughly loved going back to 1955.

AMY: Don't bother with the movie currently at the theatre; watch this well-made documentary on Amy Winehouse by A24 instead. Has a lot of documentary footage of her early years. She just had a special something, was genuinely talented, and would have been a lot better off (and happier) playing small venues because fame (and the constant paparazi pressure of the early aughts) ruined her. Neither her dad or Blake come off well in this AT ALL, and considering how they made a point to be portrayed well in the movie that's out now I think this film is a lot more accurate. Sometimes if you have self-destructive tendencies sometimes all it takes is having the wrong person in your life to make you go off the rails, and I think that's what happened with Amy. I just wanted to give her a hug, the poor dear. Such a loss.

She was so talented and so different. I'm not a huge fan of female singers, but I liked her.

Pearl has one of the most uncomfortable ending credits I've ever watched. ![:lol](//storage.proboards.com/6943657/images/kZvKcZukVaJcAqJidzda.gif) Good movie though, I liked it better than X. I finally watched Barbie, and liked it well enough. Fun sets and the cast was great, but I wish all the Kens hadn't been portrayed as such doofuses.

WORST shark movie ever: "Under Paris" on Netflix.
And I say this as someone who has watched (and enjoyed) "Jaws" MANY times.
