My daughter and I love the Expanse series... deep space adventure with great characters. We read the books, so have the general storyline straight to start with. I started watching The Expanse on Syfy, but when they canceled it I didn’t finish watching the subsequent seasons. Well, I just binged seasons 2 & 3 and I loved every minute! I’m working my way through season 4 now to get ready for season 5 next month. It’s so nice to see a show get to fully tell a story.

I discovered The City of Lost Children is also on Amazon, and I'm definitely rewatching it. It's one of Ron Perlman's better roles, and as he plays a mute so much of his character is played out with gestures and expressions. Not every actor can do that well. Jean-Paul Gaultier designed all the costumes, and the whole film has a 20s Metropolis-like steampunk feel.

Per Wiki:
Directed by Josh Boone Based on New Mutants (Marvel comic book) by Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod
Release date
August 28, 2020 (United States)
Running time 94 minutes
Budget $67–80 million
Box office $46.2 million Rented it on Amazon Prime.
Much better than expected.
I liked it.
The trailers for this film were horrible as they were trying to push the paranormal angle implying the kids were staying in a haunted insane asylum.

Very pleased to say that the first season of the original Channel 4 British version of Utopia is now on Amazon Prime and I will be rewatching. Such a beautifully filmed series, I'm still mad they cancelled it.

Has anyone watched "The Wilds"? I binged it in a day on Tuesday. So freaking good, except I can't stand the Leah character.
Can't wait for season 2! But it's gonna be a long wait, since this was just released on December 10th

I hope Season 4 and 5 are just as good.

The Pack - a combination of The Amazing Race with dogs.
I am glad in the one episode where the winner of the elimination challenge was eliminated because he blatantly put himself and his dog in danger, by hanging himself out of a window of a moving car and for unbuckling his dog from it's carrier.

Also finished Bosch, season six. I'm going to miss this series when it ends...

Tell Me Your Secrets - if you like complex thrillers with seriously messed up characters, check this one out. Really, really liked this series.

Fans of superhero stuff and animation might want to check out Invincible on Prime. It's pretty good! The ending of episode one, though...

Has anyone finished all of Them? I watched the episode with "cat in the bag" and stopped right there (I won't go into what that is in case someone hasn't seen it yet). If it's nothing but people torturing that poor family I don't really want to see the rest.

OMG, I just discovered that Prime has LA Law! I will be watching this until further notice! It's through imdb tv, so there are commercials, but I don't care. Starting episode 1 right now! I wish I'd listened to everyone saying that Without Remorse was a stinker because that's time I can't get back. I really like Michael B. Jordan and the other Amazon Clancy reboot ( Jack Ryan) is terrific, so I took a chance. What a stinker. It was like a bad cable movie. The sound was awful too - action scenes FAR too loud and muffled dialogue. I normally think MBJ is really good, but he wasn't in this. Jodie Turner-Smith was wooden and not believable. The plot? Predictable (I guess you could say that of all Clancy plots, but still). I'm sure Amazon spent a ton of money on it too.

I was really happy to find all 8 seasons there -- but I'm still salty at Shout Factory, who released the first 3 seasons on DVD several years ago (which I bought), and then stopped. They had done the same thing with Hill Street Blues, but eventually they released a box set of all 7 seasons of that show. They still have yet to do that with LA Law, and they probably never will. So Amazon Prime is the only place to see clean copies of the whole show, but you can't own it.

I have been watching Panic, a mystery with a twisted game that takes place in a boring little town in Texas every summer. Involving teens, danger, and secrets, I am loving it! Jo from the Facts of Life plays a mother in it and Jack Nicholson's son s in it--I didnt know he had any kids!

I'm annoyed that not all of the episodes are available. I was clipping along, watching season one and then, all of a sudden, the "previously on..." clips at the beginning of the episode were nothing that had been in the episodes I'd watched. Season 1 is missing 4 episodes. Annoying.
I watched The Booksellers the other day and it is amazing! It's a documentary about the rare and antiquarian book store community in NYC. Highly recommended if you're a bookworm or into New York history. I think there are, inexplicably, two versions available - one free with Prime and another for like $3.99. They're the same length, so I'm not sure what the difference is. If you want to watch it, make sure you find the one that's free with Prime.

Just watched episode 5 of "Whitstable Pearl." One more episode in season 1, and I can't imagine it would get a season 2. It's just meh. I was hoping it would be better.

Heads up, in case anyone might be interested, Amazon is running deals on a lot of premium add-on channels for Prime Day. You can get a good number of various streaming services for 99¢/month for two months. You have to subscribe through Amazon Prime to get the offer. The list includes Starz, Showtime, AMC+ and Acorn, among a number of others. I think I'm going to give Acorn a try for a few months. I love those British crime dramas!

I love that show. I love Aussie dramas. If you haven't seen it yet, 8 00 Words is terrific
I have so many streaming subscriptions, I have to stop somewhere. I was going to cancel Paramount+, but then Evil moved to that service and now The Good Fight is starting back this week.

My current fave is Ms Fisher's Modern Mysteries and I would have binged all the episodes if they weren't releasing them a week at a time. I also liked Brokenwood Mysteries and Keeping Faith. Plus more, those are just what I watched most recently. Oh, and My Life is Murder. I generally prefer what they call cozy mysteries, although I wouldn't exactly put Keeping Faith in that category.

I'd like HBO and showtime . Starz is in our cable package..or maybe that's just Canadian , because there's not much on it. I wanted to wait and just get very basic canle, then get more streaming but there's not much on at all. Acorn I can get free from the library. Thanks.. What to do, what to do..
