It is a true story.
Very very good.
The acting outstanding.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods
Looks as if Prime has collected all of the DC Universe movies. Shazam is played more for comic relief. Gal Gadot makes an appearance as Wonder Woman. Helen Mirren is excellent as the one of the main villains. Rachel Zeigler plays the youngest of Atlas's daughters and does a good job, unfortunately Ms. Ziegler's next role was as the Live Action version of Snow White that has become a disaster of current social ideology changing much of iconic characters and plot.
The movie is good for families, nice moment showing family values and that people can create a family and don't have to be born into one.

Eddie Murphy's "Candy Cane Lane" is super cute and all of you should watch it! I loved the elf and the porcelain living characters, and Tracey Ellis Ross is a gem.

AND a unique concept, which is NOT the norm with Christmas movies where the same plots are rehashed over and over. Really clever and cute, but not cutesy. I really enjoyed it!
Fun to see (and hear!) Pentatonix in the movie too!

Anybody else get the email from Amazon about them putting ads in their streaming content starting in January? Kind of irritating when they keep jacking up the price for Prime and give us nothing in return.

Yes. I mean, there's ads on Freevee but it's FREE! I don't see the point of paying for ads if you're already paying for a service, and instead of making a cheaper subscription for ads you're going to increase prices for no ads instead?
We get Prime as part of our yearly membership for shipping, etc. but if we were just paying for Prime that would be an incentive to drop it.

I've had Prime for years and years, long before Prime Video ever existed. I didn't ask for it, they just gave it to me. Fine.
If they think they can blackmail me into paying more with the threat of ads, they're outta their minds.
They should have come up with a better excuse for a price hike. This one is just stupid. And it's going to ruin their streaming service that nobody asked for...

Saltburn:What even was this? I mean, I was definitely entertained, but WHAT THE HELL? Note: This is NOT a movie for the easily offended or more delicate because some of the scenes are....a lot. With that said, solid performances all around, with the HBIC award going to Rosalind Pike for her beautifully bitchy portrayal of an extremely wealthy woman. Jacob Elordi's character is endearing and nice instead of the "I collect bodies in my basement" vibes he tends to bring to his projects.

I'm at that age where I appreciate a built-in break so I can run to the potty.

I had to look away for a few of those scenes and I am in no way a prude. I love a good sex scene But these were uhh, interesting With that said, I actually really did enjoy the movie and couldn't guess the ending which I always appreciate because I feel like I always know what is going to happen in a movie.

We watched Saltburn last night...wow. Not much makes my jaw drop any more but several of those scenes were major WTF moments.

I just watched Saltburn. Reminded me of the The Talented Mr. Ripley movie from the 90's. Loved the soundtrack. Rest of it was interesting...

Interesting to hear about Saltburn. I had a feeling it was going to be about torturing and otherwise abusing the guy he brought home, so I figured it was a hard pass, but sounds like that’s not the case?

Just reading the comments on Red, White, and Royal Blue, and I agree with them all. I watched it when it first came out and really enjoyed it, and I watched it again this week. Still a sweet and fun movie. The leads are so good together!

There's a twist you can guess midway through, but this movie gets crazy as hell. While there's some scenes the director threw in there to deliberately disturb people the movie is saved by the performances; Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, the guy who plays the bitchy cousin, and Rosalind Pike really sell it.

I am watching the Fallout series and loving it. I've played the video games, and I want to go back and play them again now. It's such a fascinating show.
