One of the funniest and best acted segments was last night when S tried to bond with Mrs. Fowler...Of course in S's mind that mean talking about himself and his interests with no concern for the other party. Kathy Bates was magnificent in her subtle boredom in the fact of S's overbearing self interest. I enjoyed that. I also loved Raj and Anu. So Raj's mutism came back.... glad it was short lived. Happy it gave him something to share with her. I hope they make it as a couple.

I enjoyed it, too. Raj’s night with his fiancée was adorable.

I just saw that TBBT and YS will have a cross over sometime in Dec. No details have been released but I imagine it would be a dream or memory of S's that will allow the characters to appear.

The two story lines were sublime and then the other was ridiculous. The "cross-over" ended up being more about S's father and was beautifully done. The other story line with Howard and Bernie was pretty silly...with Bernie getting to be more and more of a shrew. We all know people who should never have become mothers...and Bernie fits that category for me. I did laugh out loud when Howard came downstairs and started his magic act a la Las Vegas...otherwise the story was pretty thin.

They could have skipped the whole "magic" story; but at least Howard stood up to Bernadette in the end.
I really the resolution for the asymmetrical/symmetrical problem. At least now, all is happy and they can trudge ahead.

To be fair, Bernadette told Howard early on that she didn’t want kids because she had to help raise her younger siblings. When people show you who they are, believe them.

Great story line in which Amy surpasses S. in getting recognition and credit for their paper....and he accepts it.

Dumb story lines. Raj and girlfriend start over----the bump in the road in their relationship leading to this was totally manufactured...but worse, Zack and his wife can't have children and they ask Leonard with his shortness, asthma and LI to donate sperm......and Penny agrees because she is depriving him the chance to father a child with her desire to not have a baby. This is way too serious a topic to use on a sit-com.

I read the description and didn't watch it this week. Didn't see any wit or humor being offered; hope I was wrong and can pick it up later though it doesn't sound like it from the posts.

I can't imagine where that story line is going.....just wrong for the show. Plus it is one more "issue" with P and L's relationship....never very good to start with.

I'm having a hard time staying interested in this season. I'm so disappointed b/c this was my show that I NEVER missed. I would think they would want it to go out on a high note

Terrible, terrible season---I so agree with you. Last night's story line---just the one ---was very thin. Except for the mention of the Nobel Prize for S and A there was nothing that moved the show toward the ending. I would have thought that everything would be leading up to the ending. I mean they are in their 40s, still living in a poorly maintained building and eating take out every night....no change in all these years.

I kind of like how big names are coming out to play to send them off. Leonard not knowing the two celebs that Penny flipped out over was classic.

and how about the photo at the end? Poor Kareem. That was the only funny part of the show last night! I’m ready for this show to be put out of its misery. And ours.

I have no idea how this show is going to end, but I halfway suspect that both Penny and Amy will find out they're pregnant. Can you imagine how elated Amy will be that she and her "bestie" will be going through that experience together? A little fast-forward to how their kids turn out and maybe their relationship with each other could be fun if written well.

I like that. But Penny doesn’t want kids. Maybe she would turn out to be a great mother. My sister didn’t want kids and she’s the best mom I know.

Bernie didn't want them either, they have 2.. so who knows. The fact that she was so not into the idea of Leonard wanting to help her ex and his wife out leads me to think that there may be something there for them in the end. Maybe they end up adopting? Again, who knows.. and anyone that watches Young Sheldon knows what fate befalls the Coopers.

I watch Young Sheldon, but I don't recall what happens to the Coopers. I'm having a senior moment. Can you remind me?

Amy wasn't mentioned by name but it was around the time of their wedding on BBT if i recall. So we know they have kids.

It isn't really a spoiler if it was mentioned on YS. I remember that and it gave me a smile...but certainly no surprise.
Whatever happens will be the result of what the writers put together......and based on the writing so far this season, I don't have high hopes for it to be a satisfying ending.

It was very touching, as well as funny to think about Sheldon being a father.
