I know some people may disagree, but I think the writing had been sort of stale the last couple seasons...probably better to have one last season, rather than eeking it out. JMHO. I have to say I absolutely loved this show for many seasons and was one of a few I would try to watch 'live'. Thanks for posting momrek06

I still watched it despite some poor episodes. I will miss it but I have no problem with this being the last season. Everything must end.

Interesting to see how they end it---where the relationships go. I agree that they just were going through the paces the last few seasons. Strangely, the "best" relationship was Amy and S...not that you would think so. Howard and B. having two children while he never outgrew being a dysfunctional child himself was never believable while Penny and L.'s relationship never went anywhere with L. doing all the heavy lifting in the relationship and Penny not having any idea what she wanted in a serious relationship but giving the impression that L. was not it.

Did watch the new season. S and A continue to logically work out the boundaries of the marriage and the writers continue to attack the L and P relationship. If they end the program with anything less then the breakup of those two, it will not make sense. They evenn have A's mother saying that those two will NOT LAST.

I actually enjoyed the storyline of Amy and Sheldon. I really wish they would have stopped with the bad Penny/Leonard relationship.

It would be interesting to think about how they are going to end it all. Are they going to keep Howard growing so that he will be a good father to the two kids?
Amy/S are off to a good start with the writing making S so much less self-centered.
They could or maybe should have P/L just walk away agreeing that it just isn't working. After all, not everything needs to end on a "and they lived happily ever after" note.

Penny could end up with Zach and Leonard could be with Leslie.

Or introduce at least one new character who would suit one of them perfectly...then the show would have somewhere to go with relationships. I recall that the girl who was S's assistant really was interested in L and appreciated him for who he was.....that is what they need to do. After all between his terrible mother and only less terrible wife, he deserves something better.

I think Leonard would rather continue to be whipped by Penny than be single.

I thought the writing this episode was as clever as it used to be......a huge improvement over the last few seasons.

The writers went back to terrible last night. S reverted to very weird about potentially moving out of their apartment because he would have to change all the labels on his drawers . Amy reverted to her very early, over- the- boundary of normal when talking to P about having babies....she pictured them breast feeding each other's child.
Raj's chosen wife- to- be was very hard and demanding and unpleasant but she asked Raj to marry and he agreed....
Penny told L that she did not want to have children---nothing really new since I remember her saying years ago that she would not have children and ruin her body. He was upset but then caved on it since he already had so much more than he ever expected in getting Penny. This relationship has to end because it is just being dragged further and further down. .

Surprised nobody else is watching this. P and B meet Raj's new girlfriend and she comes across much better than when we met her last week. However, with too many drinks in them, they spill the beans on R's "delicate" traits so that should be interesting if there turns out to be a marriage.

It made me sad when both Bernadette and Penny seemed sour on their own marriages when they were having drinks with Raj's gf. Does Leonard ever smile or seem happy? He'd be better off with Leslie or anyone else. He has become more and more of a wimpy pushover. Penny is pretty, yeah, but so am I, so are many of my girlfriends. Go to any club and you will find lots of Penny's! Why did Howard and Bernadette have kids when we literally never see them? I did like the Tam / Sheldon storyline and it (IMHO) showed growth on Sheldon's part by letting it go. Was Stuart on last night? I still think it would be awesome for him to win the lottery.

I so agree that both P and B were so meh about their own " love based" marriages.....but seriously, is it any surprise?

Yes, that was kind of a downer when both P and B seemed somewhat unhappy with their marriages. However, what makes B an interesting character to me is her sarcasm and assertiveness because it contrasts so much with her petiteness and little girl voice. Penny has always been a meh character to me, pretty but with not much else going for her. She is the least interesting and most one-dimensional of the female characters, as well as the least talented actress on this show. Her entire role is to play a pretty girl who is full of herself. I hope Raj's marriage takes place, but that the writers are not giving him a domineering wife like his best friend Howard has to deal with.

Not a great episode. S was so selfish and self-centered. Bopping Amy on the nose was annoying once, but over the top when he did it twice. P and L have moved to being not much more than supporting players and they were boring as usual.

lol @ the mansplaining reference. It was nice to see Bernadette acting interested in Howard for once and not womansplaining him.

One of the funniest and best acted segments was last night when S tried to bond with Mrs. Fowler...Of course in S's mind that mean talking about himself and his interests with no concern for the other party. Kathy Bates was magnificent in her subtle boredom in the fact of S's overbearing self interest.
