The Nobel Prize story line is hardly a spoiler. They've been leading up to it for over a month, and it's been discussed here.

I wasn't aware you have been discussing HERE what is going to happen on Young Sheldon. That's the spoiler part of it.

I didn't reveal what the YS story is about other than having to do eith the NP. Don't know any details, and only going by one sentence on my TV on-screen guide, which is hardly a spoiler.

The rule here is that if it hasn’t happened on the show, it’s a spoiler.

Did anyone think it wasn't going to relate to the Nobel Prize? That was Sheldon's story line all year. If you watched YS, it involved way more than that.

All the commercials for Young Sheldon were about the Nobel announcement.. it was really hardly a spoiler.

West Coast with a sort of spoiler...guess from what Penny emerges? I didn't catch it at first, but then I burst out laughing.

I thought it was going to be 2 hours, but the hour wrapped up as much as needed to be wrapped up. A real smiley ending. I even wiped away happy tears at one point.

"Epic......fans will not be disappointed..." I judge it ordinary and I was very disappointed.
That will not go down in TV history at all. There was nothing special at all in that conclusion. I did enjoy seeing the W. kids---the cutest kids they could find and I did laugh that Amy had a reason to finally wear a tiara.
But seriously, the elevator, Amy changing her look, the tribute to his friends at the NP ceremony and the pregnancy all were a whole lot of nothing.

I loved it, and the ending of Young Sheldon. SO cute!!! I normally don't watch YS but I did this time. I cried yet again! And Astronaut Howard Wolowitz is still making me tear up!

I loved both finales ... and I was right about Penny being pregnant! I loved that at the end of both shows, Sheldon realized the importance of friendship. As he wound up being the breakout character of TBBT, and Jim Parsons the lead actor, it was so appropriate that he acknowledged the other cast members/characters in his NP speech. finally lauding Wolowitz as an astronaut, and maybe it was just good acting, but it seemed to me that the actors all were moved in that scene. I know it made me cry, just as the final scene in YS did, when they showed S's future friends as kids who would all grow up to find each other and bond. I also liked that we got farewell appearances from Stuart, the geologist (can't remember his name), and Kripke on the phone. I suspected the elevator would work. Loved Amy's new look. Loved finally seeing the Wolowitz kids. It all wrapped up very well, IMO.
Two things I wasn't sure about. One was Raj meeting Buffy the Vampire Slayer, unless SMG was just there to give us the hint that love might be in the future. The other was on YS, with Meemaw's boyfriend John Sturgis seeming to have dementia or some sort of serious mental problem. I wonder if he doesn't want to come back next season, or the producers not wanting to continue with the character or the relationship, so this was a way out.

The final scene of everyone in the livingroom, more or less back to normal after the NB awards. I'm glad they didn't try to wrap up anything more than they did because life doesn't really work that way.

The final scene of everyone in the livingroom, more or less back to normal after the NB awards. I'm glad they didn't try to wrap up anything more than they did because life doesn't really work that way. It ended just as it should. Sure there were changes like the Nobel, the pregnancy but I'm glad they avoided drastic changes to these people's lives. They had growth during the 12 seasons they were on, we didn't need a one hour rush of big changes. Life goes on.... Sheldon realized how much he loved them, all their bonds were strengthened. Loved seeing the kids (I didn't expect that!) and I loved Amy's new look. And yes, we got a working elevator.

I’m laughing at myself... I was thinking, “Did they age the kids?” But it wasn’t until I came here that I realized/remembered we had never seen the kids. 😄

Loved the show...The speech got me.
Amy looked great ,I wanted to see Penny’s reaction to her look though that would have been good.
The whole Stuart and the kids falling down the stairs was unnecessary, any small thing would have got them wanting to come home and not. The being hurt would really made me leave friend or not.
The end was the way it should be. Everyone called the elevator.
I watched the show after Young Sheldon about the set and what is behind the elevator when you go down the stairs. Entertainment Tonight also did a great show . Showing secrets and bloopers etc...

I don't know how to share the picture, but someone posted that the shirt Penny had on in the final scene was the one she had on in the first episode.

The Behind the Scenes is titled Unraveling the mystery: a Big Bang Farewell series. I protected it on my PVR just for the ending with the theme song playing and them showing a last look at the set.
Did anyone else notice on Young Sheldon when Meemaw was escorting John from the roof he said "It was my dream to win the Nobel and I'm not going to, I bet Sheldon will"?
on another note:
I read an article today, Penny left us another present. The shirt she was wearing when they had their final meal at the apartment was the same one she wore when she shared her very first meal with them 12 years ago.

I was one of the ones who was disappointed in the ending episode of the series.
Not surprised. I’ve been disgusting in the endings of Cheers & Seinfeld as well. Friends was ok, better than the aforementioned, but just a little too tidy, but don’t we all like to see a happy ending ? Something that doesn’t happen in real life so much.

I thought the finale would have been a little more interesting. Amy's glasses reminded me of a british tv show, I think it was Are you being served. I never pictured thick rimmed glasses coming back in style.
