You know, I don't recall if they have the crunchy. I've only bought the almond butter once for smoothies and it was creamy.

I got TJ's Meyer Lemon Cookie Thins. That's my desert tonight. They're little & quite thin & crisp. However, for as thin as they are, they are surprisingly flavorful. Very good. I also got my favorite little mints: TJ's Green Tea Infused Mints. The Gnocchi & Pink Sauce were very good. This is one of the problems with not having a store near here. I would love to get more of this, as well as the other things on the list I forgot, but at 300 miles away I have to wait 'till I take another vacation there. Probably another year. I do have family & friends trained to pick up the Cold Brewed Coffee Concentrate any time they are near a TJ's. Another problem is that everything I buy must be travelable for 5 hours or more at Summer temperatures. Their frozen & fresh stuff is so good, but out of the question for me.

Does anyone know when they are going to stock the Honeycrisp apple candles again? I think I want to get 3-4 this time around...they are heavenly.

Went to TJ's this evening and besides the usual groceries picked up the new Pimento Cheese Dip, and Chocolate Peanut Butter Light Ice Cream.

I never go on the weekends or near dinner time. Usually, I stick to weekday mornings or afternoons. With the exception of one store, which is the top grossing store in the state (and possibly the country) and NEVER not crowded, my local TJ's are never more than pleasantly busy. The parking lots are another story....

The closest TJ's is 70 miles away so my shopping choices are limited but I've found that the evenings are much nicer at my "local" store. Even on the weekends. Mid-day is always tough any day of the week.
As far as favorite products lately, for sure it's been the Cucumber Avocado body butter. As for frozen products, both the Mexican style corn with the sauce and cheese and the plain roasted corn have become staples in my cooking. I add them to burrito bowls for a fast and tasty meal with rice, black beans, avocados and chicken.

We make it a habit to go during sporting events. I can't speak for every TJs but the one by us is almost empty during those times. Went there after work to get more smoothie stuff and more of the Marinated Soy Ginger cod fillets. Word must have gotten out about those because we bought the last two packets. They had Pumpkin Body Butter there but I left that alone.

Our TJ's is always busy but not to the point that I have been there that you could stir them with a stick. I usually go mid day. I hate that they always put them in strange places. Ours is in Brookside crammed with shops all around and it is hard to get into the parking lot and then back out on the street. I still go though.

Ours is in Brookside crammed with shops all around and it is hard to get into the parking lot and then back out on the street. I still go though. i went to a Trader Joe’s today. That particular store seems larger than medium-size. There was a lot of people there, but the aisles are fairly wide. I got organic hummas, organic carrot juice and sparkling mineral water. Tomorrow I might go to the Trader Joe’s close to where I live. I’ll go to the store during an NFL game, and see if it’s crowded. Most Trader Joe’s that I’ve been to are on main streets, downtown, near other businesses... so it’s easy to get to the stores. If you aren't watching closely you will miss the store sign on the corner of the building.

My local TJs is on the first floor of a two-story building in a downtown urban area. It used to be a Binny's Liquor store before they closed that location. While there is one TJ location in my city that is in a strip mall, the vast majority of them are on the bottom floor in a multi-unit building.

Interesting; the locations here in Chicago are all on the "business" streets or mixed-zone areas of residental/commercial.

Went in today to get the candles and couldn't find any so I went up to the Customer Service desk. They found two of the pumpkin candles for me but apparently someone came in earlier and bought a whole basketful of the Honeycrisp Apple candles (More reasons why I wish TJ would put limits on their seasonal items). The good news is while the clerk was taking my info down for the next shipment another clerk said "Oh yeah, we might still have some in the basement because we didn't put all of them out" and lo and behold I got three of them! So happy right now!
I have to admit I have a small stockpile of these candles now, lol.

Trader Joe’s treats customers, while going through checkstands, as objects on a assembly line. There are a a lot of people in line, and they want to keep the lines moving as fast as possible. I once called corporate headquarters and asked why they don’t have self-check. I was told that’s because it’s a “neighborhood” store. It’s actually just a chain, and the checkers aren’t from the neighborhood. Mom-and-pop stores were neighborhood stores. One owner of a mom-and-pop health food store told me that she had lived on the same block that I lived on when I was a child. I have never had that problem at our TJ's. They are always friendly and never rush.

Yeah, at my regular TJs they know us by sight and always have good recs for things or ask us about the items we're buying. Very nice, and while they work fast they're always friendly.

I've shopped at Trader Joe's since the 1970's and the employees at every store I've gone to have stood out as being appropriately friendly while also being good at their job. When the store is crowded I appreciate the fact that they try and keep the line moving.

Count me as another who's never felt like a number OR an object at TJ's. No one there knows my name (it's a big city!), but every employee is friendly and, if I have questions, super helpful. Ultimately, the job of the cashier is to get people in and out quickly and to keep the lines down. I don't want to be ignored (not that this ever happens to me at TJ's), but I also don't need to see pictures of the cashier's kids or become FB friends. Quick, friendly service is all I've ever experienced at TJ's I HAAAATE self-checkout. I refuse to use it. It cuts jobs for actual people and rarely works well. My local IKEA once went to nearly ALL self-checkout lines with maybe one or two manned by actual people. Those few lines were always very long, but I refused to do self-checkout. The last time I went there, they'd done away with self-checkout. I told the cashier how glad I was to see the change. She agreed. I also like that TJ's doesn't have express lanes. I've rarely had to deal with more than one or maybe two people ahead of me in line and that's at one of the busiest locations in the country on a Saturday. If I wanted to get in and out fast, I wouldn't have gone on a weekend. Maybe TJ's is a chain, but they do cultivate the feel of a smaller local store and, IMO, they do it well.

They seem to not be carrying the Marinated ginger cod fillets any longer. I'm sad; I really liked those.
However, the Gingerbread candles are back and I got two to add to my candle collection, lol.

I know I am totally obsessed with their candles, but this set is absolutely adorable. Instead of having just one candle scent for the holiday season, they've released a gift package of three-- Nutmeg, Currant, and Cranberry Pine. They come in a cute box and would make a nice Secret Santa/office mate gift. www.traderjoes.com/digin/post/candle-tin-trio

I’m not a fan of pine-scented things, but the other two sound wonderful! I guess I’ll stick to gingerbread for this season.

I was at TJ's today and by the register they had dutch caramel stroopwafel cookies. 2.99 a tin so I thought I'm game. They're ok but not something I would buy again.

I’ve never had TJ’s stroopwafels, but IMO, Daelman’s are the best.
Did you eat them “dry?” Traditionally, you place one over a cup of coffee (or tea in my case). The caramel gets nice and melty. I can imagine they wouldn’t be as good right out of the package.

I'll have to try that fish curry; it sounds good.
We've been burning the Cranberry Pine candle from the trio and it smells really, really good. The Cranberry marries really nicely with the pine.
