I didn't catch Brad's season (or "seasons", rather), but I heard he was/is a huge douche.

Oh, Brad. You got to lose the beard dude. It does you no favours. Stop hiding behind the hair.
Bettina. I still think she was the one he wanted until her dad made him feel like sh*t.
He liked Jenny and I think Deanna was the one he thought he should want...good on paper...but, he just wasn't feeling it. Not like season two, when he couldn't string a sentence together around Emily.

I didn't catch Brad's season (or "seasons", rather), but I heard he was/is a huge douche. I actually thought he was a decent guy. Sincere...unlike some of them. Unfortunately, I think he has issues from stemming from his mom. Plus, like I wrote above, he was really into Bettina until her dad was so horrible to him and he was smart not to want to put up with that. Jenny and Deanna didn't have that chemistry...but watch him with Emily. Totally gaga. Too bad she wanted to be Bette instead of him.

I wish they had shown Bettina's father and how horribly he treated Brad. I think that might help people understand his insecurities.
The first season was most about the ending. I think that is why they skipped over most of it.
People hated him because he let both of them go, but in reality he was the most honest and sincere bachelor. He stood up to producer pressure and didn't cave even when they brought Deanna's dad at the end.

I saw Kristy from Fox's "Labor of Love" on Brad's first season! LOL
I remember hearing that Brad had a temper, and was controlling, and that's why he and Emily didn't make it.

I'm sure he has a temper, but he and Emily didn't make it because she believed the spoilers RS put out...that Brad was having Thanksgiving with Chantel...and was super insecure. I mean she knew he picked her and not Chantel. Not to mention, I don't think she was ever into him. From what I remember at the time, tptb wanted her for the Bette when they cast her for his season and did everything in their power to discourage him picking her. They messed with both of them and worked to break them up so she could be Bette.

After watching his finale with Jenny and Deanna, I have to give Brad a bit of grudging respect for the decision he made. He simply didn't feel what he needed to make what should be a lifelong and life changing decision. It was hurtful to both women, but better to know right then and there than years down the road with much more invested.

They brought Deanna's dad out to the final...kind of like Cassie's dad...to get Brad to propose, but he stayed strong and stayed true to himself. I wasn't thrilled at the time, but knowing what I know now about how things work, I give him mad props for holding on against all that pressure. He is still one of my favourites...and is still the hottest Bachelor ever.

Hey, at least three of those women did much better with their lives. Emily married within her religion and has a ton of kids now. Deanna also found love indirectly on her season and is married with children.
I almost joined other Forters (no longer on the site) who traveled to Austin for a watch party in Brad's bar. At the last minute (I had to cancel my plane reservation) Ms Froggy, another Fort friend called me all sorts of an idiot for even thinking about it. The others posted about their experience and said Brad spent most of his time texting while the Hometown Episode was playing on the TV. Still with a little regret about not going, just for meeting other friends, but in the end it was the right thing to stay home.

My personal opinion is he isn't that good looking. Never saw what other people did in the looks department.

He was probably trying to calm Emily down since she was apparently very jealous. Most of the ladies did well. Ashley went on her own season and found the darling JP and now has a couple of kids. Chantel went home and was set up with her now husband and also has a child.

Dying watching JP reacting to Ashley describing how hot and rugged Brad was and how she thought she could be into him.
I knew they were into each other on that first date. It was so normal. Bentley had just destroyed Ashley and she was so upset and JP made it all better. I loved it.

I'd forgotten just how annoying Michelle Money was. At least she admitted to being obnoxious! lol!! I like MM, and what happened with her daughter was really traumatic. I'm glad she's happy.

Chantel...One of my favourite contestants ever. A lot because she declined the Bette gig and went back to real life and basically gave the finger to the franchise.

I knew she was the final one from the sneaky photo of him holding her hands seen through bushes. Anyway...those were the sleuthing days...no longer, because who cares.

I can hardly think of a Bach season I'd want to revisit less than Womack's. Maybe Bad Hair Ben or Juan Pablo? Boring Aaron Burge? How is Womack one of the best ever? Not even close. They wasted two whole seasons on that half-wit.

They wasted two whole seasons on that half-wit. I don't think anyone ever said he was the best ever...just the hottest. I think his first season is obviously because he didn't pick anyone and shocked everyone. That was such a sh*t show after. It was major water cooler talk. The second I think because of Emily and tptb setting her up for the Bette.

Emily's veneers really bother me; they are just too big for her mouth! Otherwise, she's just a stunning woman. I always liked her personality too.

That was such a stunning location for the proposal. Not all the tacky crap they set up now.
I remember Chantel telling us that she knew it wasn't going to be her because it was too early. She was a fan of the show and knew the proposal was at sunset and it was around noon when she arrived.

I think Emily looks a lot better now. More natural. Three kids one after the other and Rikki. Hubby is not too shabby either.
What is Brad's big secret? Is he finally engaged/married?

Emily does look more natural, and still beautiful. Her teeth are better too. Oh her kids are adorable!!!
I give her credit for how she handled the "break up" discussion. Especially since he said at the time that he "dodged a bullet."

Brad looks rather happy. Good luck to him. He has a lot more personality than they showed on the show and a nice dry sense of humour.
In two weeks...Ali, Roberto, Frank (her husbands twin), and that sexy voiced Chris Lambton...one of my absolute favourites!!!

Ashley Spivey commented tonight on Twitter that Brad always had lots of "dad jokes." And that it killed the mood, so to say! I can't wait to see Ali's season: she had my favorite final two ever! Why in two weeks, though?
