I think that's true in any situation! Stage folks always have more fun!

And Just Like That....a certain trainwreck got renewed! Apparently it was the highest rated of HBOs Original Series? Everyone watched it...then ran to the Internet yelling about how much they hated it, but yet watched every episode? I'm delighted. What changes would you like them to make?

Finished up the second season of Raised By Wolves. Just as wonderfully bizarre as the first season, and I think they're working on the third...

Curious about the Gilded Age. We like it. It's not as good as Downton Abbey, but the clothing and set designs are amazing. One of the characters is played by Meryl Streep's daughter. She does NOT have Mama's acting skills.

There is a way stage actors carry themselves and project their voice that is very different from screen actors, big screen or small.

I can't recall all their names yet, but I can talk about Mr. Mosley and the Bates like they live next door... lol. I like the show, I love the era, and the sets and costumes are to die for! I think it needs to get it's footing, the last few episodes were starting to get there for me. I do look forward to season 2.

On MAX we started watching "We Own The City" . It is a true story. Based on a book.
It exposes the corruption and the moral collapse of Baltimore. (<---- From the reviews). And the rise and fall of the BPD 2 years after the death of Freddie Gray.
Very good acting. Really intense drama. There will be 6 episodes.

We've been watching "The Staircase" - featuring Colin Firth as Michael Peterson. Even though there's no real physical resemblance, Firth is nailing it with mannerisms and speech patterns.
Today's episode reinacted the prosecution's view of how Kathleen died. It was like watching the movie that has always been running in my head as to how it happened.

Also watching the Staircase. I don't think I remember this from news at all, and am resisting the urge to Google him and find out what really happened. I think this is the first time I have seen Sophie Turner in anything other than GOT, too

I think this is the first time I have seen Sophie Turner in anything other than GOT, too She has been quite pregnant since GOT ended, lol. I still enjoy her in the X-Men movies as a young Jean Grey and the voice of Princess Charlotte on The Prince.

I watched and loved it; much better than the Crimes of Grindelwald! Mads is fantastic and has great chemistry with Jude Law. Not a bunch of creatures, but the ones they did feature were interesting. Jessica Williams character was funny and smart; I loved her. And I'm glad they decided to course correct the whole "Creedence is a Dumbledore" plot to make it make sense.

I finally got around to watching Julia tonight. I started while still working, and I could barely get anything done. Perfect casting, great scripts and direction. I'm on episode 6 and I'm already sad that there are only 2 more left. Update: Episode 7 is amazing. Seeing Bebe Neuwirth and David Hyde Pierce reunited, and watching them have such a blast doing comedy together again, is a dream.

As I was scrolling through what they had to offer for tv shows they had FRASIER. I decided to watch a few episodes. OMG I was laughing out loud in the plane. That sure was one hysterical show. I just googled it and it was on from 1993-2004. Watching those few episodes while flying sure had me missing this fabulously written and wonderfully acting sit com!!!!

I read an article this morning that said the new movie, Elvis, will be streaming on HBO in August! Also, interesting to learn that this young actor took two years of elocution training to get Elvis' accent down pat and he does his own singing of Elvis' songs! Wow!
A couple of my friends don't subscribe to HBO, so I think I'll have an Elvis watching party with a couple of Mexican appetizer plates from Celia's!

Gordita Chronicles tv series - In the 1980s, Cucu leaves her home in Santo Domingo to pursue the American Dream after her father's work transfer to Miami. This show was a cute, funny, witty, and likeable. There is something for everyone in this series.
I actually just read it got canceled but is being shopped around. I'd still give it a watch!

I'm not sure how I feel about the merger. I just dont want to pay more. Amy Lee .... it's not happening for 3 years and things could change within that time period. Warner Bros. Discovery will merge its HBO Max and Discovery Plus services into a single streaming platform, as part of a plan to hit 130 million paying subscribers by 2025 in the highly competitive market.

I already pay for both services, so in the end it may cost me less, but I'm more concerned about how much content will be dropped from each service as they merge. It's going to be one huge bloated app with too many titles and categories to sort through. Honestly I feel like they'd make more money if they left them separate.

HBO Max has had fantastic content: The flight Attendant, Mare of Easttown, Chernobyl, Watchmen, etc. I hope we don't lose that richness.

Her role was severely diminished in season 2 for whatever reason. She allegedly had issues with the creator during season 2 concerning her character and her role was significantly cut because of it. She has brushed off the rumors and I don't think Sam has commented. But her leaving speaks volumes. There have been rumors of Toxic work environments but HBO said they were unfounded.
