If you have HBO Go or Now you are automatically converted to HBO Max and can access it through your old username and password. There's some issues with supporting Roku but hopefully that will be sorted soon.
I'm really, really liking it? Such a HUGE selection of things to watch besides the HBO catalogue; there's Studio Ghilbi, new Looney Tunes, CNN's docomentaries (so Lisa Ling and Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown is on here), Warner Brothers movies, a good foreign film selection, Nu!Dr Who, Crunchy Roll for the Anime people, Turner Classics, and other goodies. Truly something for everyone. I'm enjoying it very much and will keep it, especially since it's the same price I was paying for HBO Now.
Who else has it?

I have the app on my phone, but I haven't watched anything yet. I'm waiting for Roku to get its act together, so I can watch on my TV.
There's not a ton of original content yet, but I saw a bunch of seasons of the Bach franchise from other countries (Aus, NZ and the UK). Going to check those out, for sure!
For a while, it looked like Comcast wasn't going to offer it free to their HBO subscribers, but they came through in the last week or so. I'm glad, because I definitely wasn't paying for one more streaming service!

I downloaded the app on my TV (already pay for HBO through Spectrum) - there's a lot of stuff on there! I already put those Bach seasons on my watchlist along with Rome and Six Feet Under, two of my favorite series ever. I just scrolled through it quickly last night, but I saw a lot of classic movies and some newer stuff that looked interesting. It's not often I get extra content without paying Spectrum extra.

Right? Comcast is the same way. I mean, I like their product, but UGH, the price. I wasn't about to subscribe to another streaming service, but I'm happy to have one for free!
Hopefully, either Roku will get a HBO Max channel OR Comcast will include it in the options of streaming services you can access through your digital cable platform (they do that with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu and several others).

So I have Spectrum and I pay for HBO and SHO as two premiums on my Spectrum bill.
Do I qualify for HBO MAX? I have no plans to pay $14.99 a month for it, though.
*****UPDATE. FOUND THIS! Awesome!
If you already have HBO
If you subscribe to HBO through one of the providers below, you get access to HBO Max (at no extra cost!).
Download the HBO Max app on a supported device, sign in through your TV, digital, or mobile provider, and start streaming.

Watching "I May Destroy You" and it's excellent. A story about an imperfect victim, rape, memory, and the aftermath is very true to life without being exploitive. I've loved Michaela Cole ever since I watched her in Chewing Gum and I really hope it gets awards next year.

We get it with our XFinity subscription too! I was just scrolling through trying to find something to watch and I can't decide! Flight Attendant looks good. I'll wait until I'm not doing the work from home thing and try that one, I think.

I have it free, as well, with xfinity. Maybe makes up for having to pay extra for Stars.
I also recommend The Flight Attendant. We blew through the 8 episodes in just a few days.

There's another HBO Max post here...maybe we can combine them? (EDIT: Done!)
I noticed that they finally got on board with Roku, which is very good news. They should have done that from the beginning.

I watched The Undoing on HBOMax Saturday morning and afternoon. binged all the way through (only 6 episodes). I have not watched that much TV in one sitting in a very very long time, but it was so worth it!! Very good. My husband walked in at about episode 3 and watched the rest as well.

The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart - one of the better music documentaries I've watched. If you're a fan of the Bee Gees (I loved them!), definitely check it out.

OMGOSH, I agree.....so GOOD. I was shocked that the Bee Gees wrote all the songs for Saturday Night Fever and THEN handed the soundtrack to the Writers, Directors and Producers and then THEY WROTE THE SCRIPT TO THE MOVIE!!! I always thought it was the other way around.......movie is written and then the soundtrack is made!!! I also never knew that Robin and Maurice were TWINS.

As I've been using it more, I've realized HBO Max has a lot of room for improvement on the user-friendly aspects of their platform! In watching a series, there's no option for continuing to the next episode - or at least one I've found. When one episode ends, you have to go back to the menu to select the next episode. I have also not found a way to go back to things you've been watching - you have to scroll through the menu each time to find the show, and then pick up on the next episode. In the days of binge watching we live in now, I"ve been spoiled by other platforms that make it so much easier!

That's weird; I watch on my computer and with the series it automatically sends you to the next episode. It also has a "Now Watching" section on the main page of the site that has a list of what you've been watching, and if it's a series it automatically puts the new latest episode there if you watched the last one.

I wonder if there's a way to update the app on your TV? I watch on the TV also and it auto plays the next episode, and also has a list of "continue watching" stuff.

Hmm, which platform do you watch it on? I wonder if that is the issue? I've been watching it as a Comcast app, but may switch if that will fix it!

Problem solved! When I access HBO Max through my firestick instead of through Comcast, I get an up next option! Thank you!!!

Watched the six part series, Murders at the White House Farm. It is a British series based on a true story of the murder of five family members. My Comcast/Xfinity cable gives me the new HBOmax free because I subscribe to HBO. This Friday the new Denzel movie, Every Little Thing, will stream on HBOmax the same day as it premieres in theaters! I really do loves me some Denzel!!!

www.imdb.com/title/tt10016180/THE LITTLE THINGS. January 29th. Storyline Deke (Denzel Washington), a burnt-out Kern County, CA deputy sheriff teams up with Baxter (Rami Malek), a crack LASD detective, to nab a serial killer.
Deke's nose for the "little things" proves eerily accurate, but his willingness to circumvent the rules embroils Baxter in a soul-shattering dilemma.
Meanwhile, Deke must wrestle with a dark secret from his past.
