All of this is upsetting and reminds me too much of Michael Jackson and Prince. Too many horrible doctors out here who value money over patient safety. Considering how they were charging him 50k for 10 vials of K it's obvious that those doctors only saw him as a bank. The NYT article about this was horrendous. He was surrounded by bad people who he knew wouldn't say no to what he wanted. I look at someone like Robert Downey Junior. He had the right support and he accepted when he was told no. This will be harsh. If this had happened to anyone else they would not be investigating very hard, but since it was a celebrity they are.

To be fair, if MP wasn't a rich and famous person, these people wouldn't have been doing what they were doing and trying to get more money out of him. The situation wouldn't have happened with a "normie." Regular folks aren't generally surrounded by leaches and hangers on who are using them for money. Yes, people die as a result of bad drugs/overdose, but it's not at this level of organization and evil.

R I P Jack Russell. OT: I actually have not heard Jack's name or Great White's since the fire that killed 100 people and injured 200 people in Providence, Rhode Island. I thought that Great White had disbanded after the fire as one of the band members died and the GW manager going to jail for his actions. My son planned to see Great White that night but due to an exam the next morning he stayed in the dorms like so many other PC students all missing GW due to exams/finals whatever it was. Chris attended Providence College in Rhode Island and Great White was coming to RI. The students all really wanted to go see them but like I said these exams kept so many students studying. Hubby and I had homes in MA and NY and I was in my NY home when I turned the news on the next morning only to be shocked of the news of this fire in Providence. OMG where is Chris I freaked. Then Chris' Chicago roommate's Mom called me about the fire. I told her I had not heard from Chris when (thankfully) he is now beeping in. Chris lost a close classmate and she was actually the daughter of a Professor at the college.

A recovering addict friend of mine once said something to the effect of: there are two kinds of addicts. Addicts who think they can continue using and manage their addictions and addicts who accept they cannot. The twofab story reads to me as only a tiny slice of Matthew Perry's disturbing world and fraudulent life.

I went to a taping of one of his special shows in Baltimore. It was in a huge auditorium and he did the same thing that he did at all of his studio tapings.
He stood in the back after the show and shook hands with EVERYONE who attended.
RIP, Phil. Condolences to Marlo.

I remember watching Phil's show with my mom when I was a kid. I even remember watching when Marlo was a guest on his show, and you could see the sparks fly. Condolences to Marlo and all who loved him. RIP 🕊️

Here's another article about Phil Donahue. His show started when I was in high school. He made a huge impression on me during those formative years.

The twofab story reads to me as only a tiny slice of Matthew Perry's disturbing world and fraudulent life. It was determined over 10 years ago that the word addict should not be used; it is detrimental to recovery and overall well-being. Matthew Perry was not a fraud. Quite the opposite. Matthew Perry was forthcoming, candid, extremely self aware and self deprecating about his illness. He worked hard on himself and for others (eg Perry House).

Alain Delon was a beautiful man in his prime and a fantastic actor. It's a pity that he was a horrible human being for a multitude of reasons.

To have lost so many people and to have had so many injured was PAINFUL and HEARTBREAKING.

Matthew Perry struggled with his addictions, but from much of what has been published, he struggled mostly from hidding it.

The musician of Sid and Nancy fame died back in 1979, but there's a pro wrestler that went by Sid Vicious who died this week. Threw me off when I first saw it, too.
