I would love a Golden Bachelorette. Matt's Mom would be great but since she was sent home the first night maybe they wouldn't use her

Matt's Mom would be great but since she was sent home the first night maybe they wouldn't use her Normally, I'd agree about not casting a contestant who was eliminated so early, but she's not an unknown like the rest of the women. We got to know her on Matt's season vs. on this show. She barely got any screen time before she got eliminated, but we saw her a fair amount on Matt's season.

She barely got any screen time before she got eliminated, but we saw her a fair amount on Matt's season. I'd watch her. Same. I think she's such a sweet lady and she's HOT! I love that she doesn't look like she's had a ton of plastic surgery. She's not trying to look 30, but she's still sexy and attractive. If she's willing to go on the Bach, maybe she'd be interested in being the B'ette.
I heard Andi Dorfman on the OG's podcast (part of Ben and Ashley I's Almost Famous podcast and she joked about them having a middle aged bachelorette season. I don't know how middle aged she is at 36, but it might be more interesting than watching twentysomethings.

A little update "Theresa's close-knit Italian family will be flying out to California on January 2, per Vinny, and staying until January 7. "We're happy. My whole family is going. Everyone's getting flown. So all expenses paid - airfare and hotels," Vinny spilled. "A lot of my family members have never experienced any of this stuff before. I've traveled a lot in my career for bodybuilding and I'm used to it, so it's going to be pretty cool just to see their faces on how they're going to get treated." "Theresa's immediate family includes her brother, her two sisters Mary and Charlotte, her son Tommy, and her daughter Jen. She also has six grandsons - three of which got to attend the hometown dates. Vinny added that some friends of theirs will also be attending the wedding and family from her late husband Billy's side. "Aside from the family being treated to a "vacation," everyone is "100 percent" okay with the quick engagement, per Theresa's brother. "They both have chemistry. They both enjoy each other. Why not? They only live once," Vinny quipped. "After the wedding, Gerry and Theresa will fly to Italy to celebrate their honeymoon, which was gifted to them during the show's finale. Then, they plan on settling down in Charleston, South Carolina, close to where Theresa's son lives and where Gerry has always toyed with moving to. "Vinny told The U.S. Sun: "I wouldn't be surprised if she moves right after they get married. "I wouldn't be surprised if the plans were being already made up right now. "In terms of what life would be like in South Carolina, Vinny suggested: "I think as long as they're together, they're going to make the best of it and enjoy each other. And I think they're genuinely in love." He continued: "My sister wouldn't [take the next steps] if they weren't a match."" www.the-sun.com/entertainment/9891010/golden-bachelor-theresa-nist-brother-meet-gerry-turner-wedding/

How to watch, moreBy Katherine Rodriguez | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com “The Golden Wedding” between the first “Golden Bachelor” Gerry Turner and the show’s winner Theresa Nist will take place Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024, at 8 p.m. on ABC. Here’s what else you need to know about the nationally televised wedding. Who is in the bridal party?
Nist said that there will be a large bridal party for the bride and the groom. “There’s not anybody that’s left out,” Nist told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s going to be a big bridal party. I have six grandsons. We have several men in our lives. We have women in our lives. Everybody will be involved.” Who is on the guest list for the wedding?
While the couple will be hoping for millions to tune in for the televised special, there will be 100-150 guests invited to the in-person wedding, according to Entertainment Weekly. Who is the wedding officiant? “Golden Bachelor” cast member Susan Noles will serve as the wedding officiant. “I guess the secret is out! I’m officiating THE GOLDEN WEDDING and I’m just beyond excited!” she wrote on Instagram. Where is the wedding going to be held? ABC hasn’t confirmed the location. However, Reality Steve and Bustle have reported that Nist and Turner will tie the knot at the La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs, Calif., where the couple once visited in December. Will the bride and groom be writing their own vows? Nist told Decider that she and Turner will be writing their own vows. How I can watch “The Golden Bachelor” wedding? See Which Ex of Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner Will Officiate His Upcoming Wedding to Theresa NistGolden Bachelor Gerry Turner and his fiancée Theresa Nist didn’t have to look far when it came to finding an officiant for their Golden Wedding. On Tuesday, ABC announced that fan favorite Susan Noles — who has been a wedding officiant for over a decade and appeared on the inaugural season of the ABC dating series — would be presiding over the live televised ceremony, which airs on ABC Thursday. “Who better to officiate #TheGoldenWedding than the one and only @thesusannoles?” a message on the Golden Bachelor Instagram read alongside a photo of the trio. “Don’t miss her in her element Thursday at 8/7c on ABC. Stream on Hulu!” Noles also shared the news on social media, writing, “I guess the secret is out! I’m officiating THE GOLDEN WEDDING and I’m just beyond excited!! @goldenbachabc” She posted a clip — which was set to Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” — showing her revealing to her daughter that she would be officiating the big day. “FaceTime with my daughter telling her I’m officiating THE wedding,” she wrote over the video, adding in the caption, “I guess the secret is out! I’m officiating THE GOLDEN WEDDING and I’m just beyond excited!! @goldenbachabc" Ahead of the ceremony, Turner, 72, and Nist, 70, told PEOPLE there is one wedding tradition they won’t be skipping. “Oh, I will definitely do a bouquet toss,” Nist said, before adding with a laugh: “There's plenty of women who want to catch that bouquet.” Her fiancé added: “So true. "Sorry!" Nist shared, apologizing for the comment — an underhanded reference to the 20 other women who vied for her fiancé’s heart on national television in the inaugural season of the Bachelor spinoff show. “I think we will do all the traditional things that you normally do at a wedding.” In addition to Noles, fans may see some familiar faces from Bachelor Nation at the ceremony, Nist teased. “You're probably going to see some,” she said, though she kept her cards close to her chest. “We won't tell you who, but you're going to see some,” she added. Nist has been open about her desire for the other women who dated Turner on the show to attend their wedding. During a For Your Consideration panel at The Times Center in New York City in December, the former financial services professional confirmed that all of the other hopefuls had been invited to the wedding, though she wasn’t sure who would make i She also previously made an explicit mention of the season’s runner-up, Leslie Fhima, as she told Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt on their Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, “I would invite Leslie. I don’t know if she would come.” She also named Edith Aguirre, Pamela Burns, Peggy Dercole, Ellen Goltzer, Renee Halverson-Wright, Sandra Mason and Sylvia Robledo as the other ladies she’d want there on her big day. Turner added Anna Zalk to the list, as Nist said, “I talk to Anna all the time." The Golden Wedding will air Thursday, Jan. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Uh oh. That's never a good sign. The couples who stay together are generally the ones who disappear after their season.

Gerry makes me wonder if he hasn't gotten bitten by the limelight bug. All I can say is "Gerry this limelight thing is very fleeting". 15 minutes of fame doesn't last long.

I'm not interested in a Golden BIP, but if they did do it, they'd have to go to somewhere nicer than that place in Mexico. From what I've heard, staying there is pretty grueling. I'm not sure people in their late '60s and '70s would survive it.

I think they’re doing just fine. All of these stories came after they were on Dear Shandy (Sharleen Joynt’s podcast with her husband Andy). They seem very happy together, but one of the questions Sharleen asked was what’s the biggest misconception people have about you, and the answer was that people think they are living in the same place.
They explained that it’s not a trivial thing to sell two houses and find a new place and they are taking their time figuring it out. Shortly thereafter, there started bring all of these “sources say” stories about them living apart.
