Yessir, the Pink City - Teams travel more than 2,000 miles from Vietnam to India, where they must balance traditional pots on their heads while performing a folk dance and assemble a mural.
Enjoy the show!

Two of the less appealing locations lately: from busy Vietnam to India's craziness. I wouldn't want to travel in either country's big cities.

Oh no, poor Corey can't get this dance done with balancing the pots on his head! They're last! Maybe the detour will give them a chance to catch up, if Corey can somehow make it through this one.

That balancing challenge could be difficult. I don't want Rob and Corey eliminated!

Anna Leigh got hurt, aww. I'd say it was her dad, but most likely it was Karma.

Photos are all taken. So remaining teams have to go to the other one. I’m late, so I’ve missed a lot. But, don’t they have to match the tiles exactly? Tech guys don’t match. The sword is grey and off white in mural but they are holding a similar sword but in all black. Is that their problem.

Leigh is so determined. I wish I liked them. I like the dad, I’m just not rooting for Leigh. But, they arrive first at pit stop.

I'm happy for team number 2, Greg and John! The mural one seems much more difficult, so I'm glad Rob and Corey are making the dolls.

Beard guys do a great job working together and complete their task before the couple.

Lena and her sister are giving up, switching detours after 2 hours! They think they just can't get approved, so instead of checking thoroughly again, they're changing. I don't think this will be a good decision, after all the time they've spent already.

I’m ok if they are last. Joel and Garrett are top three. Andrea and Melanie are 4 th. Ashley and Todd you are team 5. Each team tells the next what team they are! I love it.

Andrea and Malaina are doing well! Now they're team #4!
And whoo hoo Rob and Corey make it to team #6!

Bummer, Joe and Ian are last. They handled it well. The sister's attitudes aren't quite as positive, so if they don't make it next time that's fine by me. I'm hoping the teams vote to U-turn Anna Leigh and her dad.

Wow.I loved this episode ( I nearly bit my nail) it was so darn close. Anna Leigh is okay, it's her "come on dad, come on dad," when he's holding the end of the sugar cane that gets me. He's right there AL.
I had no clue who was going to be last, as long as Rob and Corey were okay. He had such trouble dancing with the pots on his head. The mural challenge was brutal, for everyone. ! The buildings they were running around, were just so beautiful. This has to be one of the best seasons in awhile.

I was so glad Rob and Corey made it through. I love how solid their relationship is and their attitude toward each other and the race is so positive. I could see how his dad could be a really good and patient coach. BTW, it sort of surprised me how many of the early teams all went to the Big Picture challenge instead of the puppetry one. But maybe that's because I would have more trouble hauling around pieces of picture from all over while my small hands might come in handy doing things like stuffing the puppets' arms and legs (and I'd probably enjoy doing the actual puppet show).
I suspect AL and her dad may be u-turned. It would make sense for the majority of the teams to try to turn around a team that seems to be doing consistently well and right now, that's them.

I couldn’t believe how many chose the mural. When they described the two activities, it was clear to me that the puppets would be way faster. The mural had so many details that could be wrong while the puppets were straightforward. The couple should thank their lucky stars that there were no stations left.

I know! The girls said they would not spend more than 20 minutes on a task before switching. But, stayed two hours trying to make it perfect. Then breezed through the dolls. Unless you have a really good eye for discrepancies, you should move on.

Great episode.
So happy Corey and his dad chose the right detour. They are the #1 team I am rooting for but there are also a LOT of close seconds I am also rooting for! Im actually hoping their not great performance keeps them off the U-turn list too!
Out of the last 3 teams, I like the brothers the most so glad they made it!
I would really struggle with changing tasks, I would keep thinking, one more try, we are already here. Especially something like that where I *could* be close. If I ran the race Id run with my dh and he has a super amazing attention to small details so maybe we would be ok. He would also drive the stick, smash physical tasks, not afraid of heights, great at building things, can get hungry and not get hangry. . .. I could . . .Hm . . . Maybe he should run it with his brother. lol!
Cant wait for next week!

I can relate to their relationship, past & present with one of my own brothers. They also seem to have a sweetness to them, especially Yeremy. Most people here seem to love the 1.5 hour episodes, but I'm really NOT liking it. All they've done is spend more time showing everyone doing the same task over & over. I wish they'd use that extra time to maybe show us interactions between race legs, or deeper into contestant's backstories, even airport interactions between the teams...anything. I don't need to see every task failed multiple times by multiple teams. They can show a few & then just give us the count of how many tries.

Out of the last 3 teams - the set of brothers (versus the girls in blue and the all male couple) - Liam & Yeremy. And yes, what you said is why out of the final 3 I wanted them to stay in! I am on the fence about the 1.5 format. My biggest complaint is I don't have as much time to watch but can get a 1 hour show in but cannot watch the 1.5 in one go. Its definitely cutting into my BB watching time but I am kind of ok with that anyway! But on the other hand I feel I know the teams a lot better than normally. This far Im still confused over half of them. So for at least early on, I like it more. But I wonder if that will wear off as the season goes on.

Wednesdays are rough for me now with The Challenge, Survivor, & Amazing Race all on the same night, all 1.5 hours each. I watched all 3 this week on Wednesday, & I was up till almost 1am. Won't do that again! I'll have to kick one of them to Thursday to watch. Not sure which one, probably AR.

Oh, poor Corey 15 attempts but he finally did the balance dance.
Looks as if the next tasks are pretty close. I would choose puppets as that is crafting vs Big Picture which sounds like a lot of running around.
Cardio is your friend on the Amazing Race.
