I was looking on my DVR and saw a new MAFS recording on there... it was a little preview of the brides next season. Ooooooof. It looks like it's going to be all about the drama and not about real relationships. I'm here for the fairy tale, y'all!!!! They have two divas and a dog lover. Why!?!?! While they all seem nice, even the preview said "the most dramatic season yet". Big sigh.

It is hard to get a good read on these ones. They could be serious. They could have good qualities. Or it could be disaster city. I think the docs know their reputations are on the line.

I have watched Seasons 3-6 and didn't really enjoy Season 6 so I am glad Season 7 is already here. I'm pretty sure Married at First Sight is proof opposites don't attract. But yet they always have that one couple! I'm also hoping for some genuine romance with a little drama mixed in. |

Seems like Jaclyn and Ryan gave it a good try! Too bad it didn't work out, but they really didn't seem to be a good fit, to me. But Jephte and Shawniece are still hanging in there. And, if you all remember, they're expecting a baby, which should be due in this upcoming coming Fall, I think. I hope they're happy, cause they seem like they could have a really good life together. Fingers crossed for them!!!  |

A "source" quoted by US Magazine said they have been split up for quite a while, so I don't know how good a try they gave it. Based on Jackie's IG, she was living in AZ months ago. If they're actually divorced (vs. just having filed), that's at least 4 months - an uncontested divorce in MA takes 120 days - which means they'd already filed before much of the season had aired. The season premiered in Jan and finished in April and if they're divorced, they had to have filed in February, if not sooner. Jackie never looked happy at any of the shows filmed after the initial filming (ie. the after show with Jamie and the reunion shows). I'm only surprised they didn't announce the divorce sooner. Maybe they just decided to wait until it was a done deal  Now we wait to see if they'll do a Second Chances season with Jackie and Jon.....or just match them up as a couple! |

I think there are rules if they don't announce on decision day that they have to wait X amount of time before announcing. I have seen that J and R split a long time ago too. He was really not a guy that wanted a wife. He wanted someone who would fit his life with no thoughts as to how he fit her life. I personally was not a fan of his from the get-go. I think Jackie came off well during the show while Ryan did not. I wish them both well.

I'm not really sure that Shawniece and Jephte are still together as a married couple, either. People keep tweeting Shawniece and asking, but she never gives an answer. Why not just say yes we are together, or no we are not? They do seem to be friends, at the very least. Shawniece has said things like she and Jepthe will always be together because of the child he has given her, etc. Very odd.
And yes, according to her twitter account, Jaclyn has been in Arizona working for a few months now, at which point many people surmised (accurately, it seems) that she and Ryan were no longer together.

Shawniese may not be able to say anything like Jackie and Ryan couldn't. It may be in their contracts to have to wait for a divorce to be final. To me her lack of answer is pretty key. |

I'm so glad this show is back. It's my favorite guilty pleasure  I think all the couples this time have potential, but I'm really nervous about ALL OF THEM! The previews make it look like none of them work out. |

I love Shawniece and Jefte. Mr. No Sex is doing what over there in that video.
I guess with over 43,000 Texas applicants, they have strong pairings this time. It looks like it.
I thought each of the couples were just perfect. I felt for Mia's parents; and I hope the show showed them
past show recordings like Shawniece crying and being very happy. I think the professionals were extra careful
to screen for alcohol or mental issues because of last season. Last season I was impressed by their beauty
and their genuine hearts; but those two couples were never going to work because of the other issues. It takes
more than a genuine heart for a union.
This season:
* Loved Mia's dress the most
* Loved all the decorations especially the white bouquet with purple roses in it
* Loved all the grooms' outfits. The black and white twisted bow tie--Love!!!
* Couples looked very well matched

Yes my thoughts too they all look pretty happy.
The one that wouldn't kiss him even a peck looked drunk or something at the wedding. It was very nice of him to give her his glass since she dropped hers. He seems like a really nice guy.
The older blonde bugs me , not sure what it is yet.
Loved the dog lovers vows and that they both have dogs.
By the previews we are in for a rocky ride.

I love this show but they don't have a lot of long term success. I watch for the chance to see one genuine love story unfolding. On paper they usually do sound like they'll be good matches. It's interesting to see how the reality works.

We all know how deceptive the editing is on this show. I don't put any stock in the previews. They're so misleading most of the time. I'm always amazed (annoyed?) at how the family members behave. Mia's sister was a total witch to Tristan. You can be concerned for your sibling without acting like that. To his credit, he kept a smile on his face, but she should be ashamed of herself for treating him like that. Mia's father wasn't much better. His daughter is an adult. She can have sex with her husband if she wants to! It's not anyone else's business. It's like Mia's family doesn't trust her judgment. I really felt for Danielle too. Her mother was absolutely terrible on the phone. That whole, "you moved there to have a new life, so...." crap was awful. So, you just wash your hands of your child because she moved to another state?  At least she showed up to the wedding and seemed to have behaved herself. The only thing I question about Amber is the need to go party and get throwing up drunk at 36 AND the night before her wedding. Sorry, but haven't you gotten that out of your system at this point? It didn't seem like this was unusual behavior for her. It's just childish, IMO. Things are usually all hearts and flowers for the first few episodes, so I'll be waiting for the honeymoon or later for the masks to come off. Then we'll really see who these people are. They almost all seem normal in those first few episodes. Even season 2 Sean seemed like a good guy at first. Oh, and remember how Ryan DeNino was so sweet about his grandparents? Then he turned out to be a violent psycho. Everyone this season seems okay, but after 6 seasons, nothing surprises me any more. |

I did not know they played two episodes on Tuesday. I just now watched episode 2.
Amber and Dan: I did not like how Amber's friends were grilling Dan. It is their wedding day. When all is said and done, they will chose or not chose each other based on their own experiences. Boo for those bridesmaids. Now they were alluding to Amber having temper issues; and in the previews it looks like the groom may have temper issues. Being possibly similar in temperament, they might be well suited for each other. They both have similar jobs. Yes?
Danielle and her groom: Who knows?
Mia and Tristan: If I were going to put money on any of these three couples, so far I would bet on Mia and Tristan lasting. Mia's sister is embarrassing. She did not need to insult him. Perhaps she was drunk.

So Mia is capable of heavy denial. Is denial a protective shield against pain? Perhaps that is why Mia's sister was being so ugly; she was making a pre-emptive fight as a defense to known things. Was Mia not kissing Tristan to show police caller she really loves him?
Perhaps Mia applied to the show as a positive way to apply her energy. Some people simply cannot be by theirselves.
I won't think badly about her just yet. I can remember my sister getting pretty upset when boyfriends broke up with her. And my sister has been married for 35 years.
If Tristan was perfectly kind, he would have been married by now.

Well. That sucks for Tristan. According to those police reports, Mia has been stalking her ex for over a year. This is more than just someone not being able to be by themselves. We all know those people; they just find someone else no matter how bad they are. Mia has been warned and at least four police reports were filed. It sounds like they only issued a warrant when $$ was involved because she ordered him gifts on his own account?? This is a huge fail for MAFS. I guess it's hard because she's not convicted of anything so these charges won't show up on a background check. Ugh. What a nightmare.

It appears they need to add a few questions on their questionaire about reactions to past breakups, and whether police had ever been called on them. Surely she knew that using his card for his "gift" makes it no longer a gift. |

I wonder how long Mia was with former. Was there a prior past of breaking up and getting back together? Those would be lessening factors. I agree that the fact that the police was being called should have made her back off. She should have worried about the effect of that on her livelihood.
It sounds like Ameea made purchases in the past for her former boyfriend's convenience. He was not concerned about her having access to
his credit cards; because he did not change his credit card. When I split with my ex husband, I made sure that he had no access to
my credit cards. So it looks like Ameea has done nothing for retribution purposes.
