I have to say, I'm really enjoying this season. In fact, this is the first season that I'm really enjoying in a very, very long time. I know all of the couples won't stay together, but at this early juncture (before the troubles start happening) that I really wish they would stay together. Oh well, reality's a drag sometimes, isn't it!

MAFS Fan just posted another spoiler. Apparently, {Spoiler} Lauren and Orion don't even make it through the honeymoon. Good grief! I'm just now watching the episode and they really seem to be getting along so well. I guess we'll see what goes wring pretty soon.

I keep hoping for another Woody and Amani! That's one of the reasons I still watch this show. They're my all-time favorite couple.
I'll say it now, if Orion and Lauren split up, that "discussion" from the last episode will be at the root of it. I know the context is slightly different, but I agreed with Keisha asking if Lauren didn't deserve any of the grace she gave Orion about him having used the N-word. Lauren clearly had NO idea of the origin of the phrase "redskin" is and was obviously horrified when he told her. It puts his comment to Cameron in a new light, IMO. I think he clarified that he didn't mean to say "reservation" to everyone: he meant to say "resort."
It feels like Orion, while also being proud of his heritage, is also wielding it like a weapon and just waiting for people to slip up and offend him, unintentionally. I liked him in the beginning, but his attitude, especially toward Lauren is off-putting and really unkind. Frankly, as a white woman, I'd have a hard time being with someone (meaning, I wouldn't) who'd admitted to using the n-word - and it doesn't sound like he was a child either - so I can't imagine how Lauren feels about it.

But to me, Lauren was just itching for a fight. It was as if she was going to trump his claims of prejudice with the amount of prejudice against Black people, no matter what! And I felt that she never really understood the depth of the pain and sorrow that the Native Americans feel about the prejudice and abuse they've had to deal with. If only people realized this is NOT A COMPETITION!!! It doesn't matter if we're hurt slightly more or slightly less than others. If only we could stop inflicting pain on each other. What is wrong with us humans that we can't seem to stop ourselves from our "Us Against Them" mentality!!!

I was saying since the honeymoons started that Orion and Lauren were in a competition to figure out who was the biggest victim. Apparently, some people who know Orion have posted on Reddit and it is not flattering. According to them, he's not popular in their community and is seen as a joke. He may feel tied to his community, his community isn't tied to him. At least one questioned why he even went on this show and predicted what would happen before it did. IMO, he definitely won the "Victim Olympics."
I'm still watching this season, but not that closely. It feels like most of the wives got the short end of the stick. These guys are not impressive.

Some of these women don't have it together either. I think pastor Cal and Dr.Pepper should be replaced. It is getting worst with the couples they pick. I only watch here and there anymore. Orion raised red flags when they picked him, so it does not surprise me to hear what was written about him. I agree, that both of them tried to be a bigger victim than the other.

I'm behind on the season, but so far, I'm not impressed with Clare or Emily. Clare was rude when it came to the kiwi - swearing and being so derisive.
Emily's never been in a relationship? Why would you cast someone like that?
Orion seemed nice at first, but then saying he doesn't like being bossed around showed some of his true colors coming through.
Cameron is cute so far, I just hope Clare is nice to him (her family tells her to "be kind" before walking down the aisle, so that could be bad).

Ugh, this season has been horrible, and all the couples are horrible so far too!! I'm still not all the way caught up, but I don't think I'll finish watching the whole season, it's such a trainwreck.

Yeah. it's pretty disappointing. You'd think that, after SO many seasons like this, they'd change the way they do things with respect to casting and matchmaking. Apparently not WHY are we still being subjected to Orion? I wish Lauren would just shut him down completely. He keeps showing up wanting to talk, claiming he misses their "connection," but HE'S the one who ended things! IMO, he just wants more camera time. IIRC, the episode description this week says something about a "familiar face" returning and making a surprising revelation. Cameron? Will he want a divorce to to work on the marriage? Just a guess, not a spoiler.

UGH, will ANY of the couples still be together on Decision Day? This is the worst season ever. The only couple left is Chloe and Michael and, frankly, I don't see that working. It feels too much like she's pretending. It's a bummer, because I think Michael is a good guy.
What's with Cameron saying that, if Claire said yes on DDay, he would too? I thought they ended it and, apparently, he's dating? If that's true, then WTF?
Brennan and Austin are both terrible. Brennan is like a sociopath, showing ZERO emotion at all. It's creepy. Austin appears to care more about his image than about his marriage.
Don't even get me started on Orion.
At what point are TPTB going to take a hard look at how the matches are made on this show and change things?

I'm just now watching the little special that aired last night, with the couples and singles from previous seasons. IMO, if KNP ever leaves the After Party, they should hire Chris. I thought he was really well-spoken and insightful. Plus, it would be nice to mix it up and have a man host that show.
I do think almost all of them were far too optimistic about the couples and what their decisions would be. I don't think any of them will stay together.

I don't like Brennan or Austin particularly, but I have major problems with their wives too. I was wondering if it was just me thinking it was weird that she had a problem with Austin asking her to wash her hands before using his jacket. Thankfully on the special they agreed with me that it wasn't a big deal.
I think these women are toxic together. They blow minor things way out of proportion and then encourage each other to think poorly of their spouses. Admittedly it is sometimes warranted, but not nearly as often as they sit around saying how terrible the husbands are. I don't think Emily is as positive a person as she thinks. He may not be a good guy, but I was very surprised when she said she hated him. That's a very strong statement, especially from a supposed "positive" person. I think it's clear she and Brennan have different meanings for that word.
None of the original couples should stay together. The jury is still out on Michael and his wife. They seem nice enough, but I'm not sure she can get over him showing his feminine side.

It would not surprise me at all to see at least one couple that actually says yes on Decision Day and then split up the next day. I am so tired of this show now.

Ugh! I can't even watch these episodes any more! I know you can't make yourself be attracted to someone or to fall in love with someone if it's just not there for you, no matter how much you'd like it to be, but it's just such a shame that none of them could find some happiness with each other.

More MAFS baby news! Paige (Atlanta, who was married to horrible Chris) just had a baby girl. AND, Jamie and Doug (s1), just announced that they're expecting twins! They've been pretty open about their fertility struggles from the very beginning and this time, they've been trying for 3 years. Hopefully, this will be an easy trouble-free pregnancy.

What great news! I'm so happy for them, especially for Jamie and Doug, who have been trying soooo hard for another pregnancy! PS This especially warms my heart because I remember so clearly, when Jamie and Doug first met (at their wedding) she was on the floor crying her eyes out cause she didn't like his looks and she didn't want to be with him. And look at them now, so many years later.

MAFS Fan released pics of the couples for the upcoming season in Chicago and I swear, one of the couples looks like they could be in a telenovela. They are SO beautiful. Based just on the pictures of all of the couples, I don't have a lot of hope. Some look like crazy mismatches.
I wonder how many terrible seasons it'll take before the show gets canceled or they fire the experts and overhaul the matching process.

OMG, did anyone watch the reunion episode last night? Holy sh!t. They actually all admitted that they were playing for the cameras. The men got together and came up with a plan to deceive production and it sounds like they pretty much forced the women - some of whom were still hoping their marriages could work out - to play along.
I thought I'd seen it all on this show, but seriously. WTF?
MAFSFan released some of the receipts involving Claire and Cameron - mostly screen shots of texts, but also stuff from Reddit. IMO, as nice as he seemed in the beginning, he's kind of a sociopath. That gleam he kept getting in his eyes when Claire cried or he thought he'd caught her in a lie = creepy.
I don't think the woman are blameless, but WOW. I don't know how you prevent this happening again, but I think NOT recruiting participants should be step #1.

I got to watch it today. OMG, Kevin was stunned. I am wondering how they move on from here. I got the feeling everyone was lying, about everything, right to the end, "did you want a marriage with me.....yes" no. All the women are playing victim, but as Kevin said, why didn't you say no? I also watched the two lady podcasters picks for favorite whatever. Reminded me that this can work. I miss those days. When you are reminded of Woody and Amani and Jessica and uh what;s his name lol, you can see how this works. What a fustercluck.

Yeah, I think they're all at least a little full of sh!t, but I still think the guys are worse. I'd love it if the production company found something in the contract that they violated. Then they could be sued or required to give back the money they were paid. What a bunch of aholes.
The preview for the After Party next week makes reference to a wife from one couple having feelings for one of the other husbands. Rumor is that it might be Lauren and Michael. I mean, he's better than Orion, that's for sure. Plus, Chloe has made it clear she's moved on and will not be revisiting anything with Michael. I say, go for it. Nothing will probably come of it, considering how much of a flaming dumpster fire this season has been.
I keep watching because I'm hoping for another Woody and Amani or Jessica and Austin....or any one of the multiple other couples who've come out of this series.

it's so much fun to watch when the process works. When the couple is committed to learn about the other, and finds they really are the partner they want. This whole, "plan to fcuk this up and just make a mockery of the whole thing, but we'll all get millions of new followers from it" . The ones that work are always there for each other. These fools weren't even smart enough to know that. The entire group. Sans Chloe and Michael. Nothing about this was fun. I hope the show runners fix this, and the legal team finds a way not to pay them. I know a lot of reality is scripted, but this was beyond ridiculous.
