Oh my word, Bennett's sleep dress was just too funny!!! When he pulled it up around his knees, there was a wet spot on it too!! Ahhhh!!! Then he sat like a carrot for awhile. All the in-laws brunches seemed to go pretty well, despite the show teasing big conflicts and drama. Brett did okay at that meeting, but I can't see him holding it together for much longer; I think we'll see his bad side again soon. Yep, poor Olivia. Is it just me or does anyone else need subtitles with Woody? Was he complaining about Amani talking about not having sex? I couldn't make out what he was saying. I mean, what else would Bennett sleep in? He's definitely not a t-shirt and boxer shorts guy. I think he and Amelia are adorable, right down to their goofy pjs and matching glasses. They're a nice change of pace from so many vanilla couples we get on this show. Just look at the scene where they're all standing there waiting together (maybe at the airport?) at the beginning of their honeymoon. They stand out! Everyone else was just dressed in "standard tourist" wear, while B&A looked like brightly colored birds - they even brought the same type of bags! They're the reason I'm going to be tuning in each week. They just seem so simpatico.
IIRC, Woody was talking about how he was checking boxes for Amani by his behavior and how he treated her, the things he said, etc. He was whispering so she couldn't hear him. It definitely wasn't, "WooHOO, I'm getting laid tonight!" It seemed like he was excited that they seemed to be meshing well and that she likes him. It reminded me a bit of Doug and Jamie's honeymoon when she was filming herself and whispering about how she liked Doug, but doesn't want him to know yet.
I think this is an unusual season in that none of the couples have had sex yet and we're already through 4 episodes. Wonder which couple will be first....

I'm definitely feeling more sympathy for Christina after this week. She's working so hard to get even the bare minimum from Henry and it seems like HE thinks he's going WAY outside of his comfort zone. He probably hasn't talked that much to anyone in YEARS! They're doing some fun stuff, but it seems like most of the activities they're doing are pretty middle of the road. If she took Henry on that jet boat ride, he'd probably soil himself. He'd probably be happy just sitting around all day....of course, not on the beach, 'cause he probably wouldn't want to get sand on his feet I really felt for Christina when all the couples were talking about how their relationships were going. Henry clearly thinks everything is going great and all she can see is that the other couples seem to be doing a lot better, even Brett and Olivia. At this point, she seems to be really trying, but how long will it take before she's just tired of having to try so hard all the time? I love that Woody, in particular, is totally cool with Bennett's quirkiness. He really seems to enjoy hanging out with B&A. Woody's definitely turned out to be a deeper person than he appeared at the beginning of the season. I like that he's really taking things at Amani's pace and seems to really want to get to know her before they consummate the marriage. He's really smitten with her and it looks like the feelings are mutual. They really need to buy Bennett some swim trunks! You know, sleep in a nightgown. Whatever. In public though, grown adults don't swim in their underpants. Based on the size of that resort, I'm sure they have some killer clothing stores. He could find something else to wear. I still like Miles, but Karen needs to tell him point blank to knock it off with that cougar crap. I love that both Amani and Woody told him to stop. I love that Karen referred to Amani as her friend. Maybe some women wouldn't be bothered by the age difference, but she clearly is. Him hammering on it like that is probably bringing out some insecurities for her AND doubts about Miles' maturity level. Still, why do they keep casting people who have a hard time trusting and opening up? I think they're well matched, but she needs to relax and not project all of her doubts onto him when it doesn't look like he's given her a reason to not trust him. I continue to be shocked that they matched Brett and Olivia. He clearly wants kids - he seems very certain about it - but she doesn't seem that interested at all. Having kids is one of those major things that a couple should agree on. Unless she lied on her application, why would they match Brett with someone who might not want kids? I don't think they're a good match for other reasons either, but that seems like a big red flag against that match. Unless they're keeping it a secret, none of the couples have consummated their marriages. I think that's a record! I sort of like that they're all taking their time. I can think of several couples off the top of my head who practically leapt into bed together and ended up not working out.
Based on the previews, it looks like next week is when things start to get more dramatic. It's amazing it took this long!

Woody and Miles both seemed to still appreciate Bennett on Unfiltered. They didn't seem to want to hurt his feelings when they were all joking about Bennett's nightgown. Critical I'm also not sure why they matched Brett and Olivia either, other than they both like cats. There seems to be some major differences between them. She seems sweet. Is "I'm learning a lot" code for "he won't shut up and is a know-it-all"?! It reminded me a little of my great- grandmother telling me about a relative who was "very determined", which I'm pretty sure was code for "a b!tch" although she never would have dreamed of saying such a thing. I also don't understand why they matched Christina and Henry. He seems nice, if not awkward, but not at all adventurous. He needs someone who might push him out of his comfort zone a little, but not as much as Christina wants to. To be fair to her, what she's asking of him is not dangerous like he thinks. I just don't think they're well matched because of those big gaps in how adventurous they are or in Henry's case, are not! He has like a level 0.5 adventurous spirit! She's at least trying. I think she's used to her friends who maybe just haven't experienced things yet, but are game for them. Henry doesn't want any part of that, which isn't inherently a bad thing, just not a good thing when matched with Christina. I too still like Miles, but calling Karen a cougar was odd, especially when it seemed apparent to me that she didn't like it. Woody laughing about Bennett wearing his underwear to swim in was funny. I noticed the next day that it appeared he'd gotten swim trunks. It's possible it was regular shorts, but he had moved up from underwear! I can't believe Woody lost his wedding ring! It was cute how he wore the hat then saying he was married.

Originally I wasn't a Christina fan' however, I now believe that she has the patience of a saint. And she is being very kind. I would have kicked Henry to the curb by now.

Amelia and Bennett are still together (yay!) and now live in Richmond, VA for Amelia’s residency.

I don't think it's any surprise that Woody and Amani were the first to consummate their marriage (as far as we know). They seem to be SO well matched. I really hope they continue to do well. I absolutely love Amani. I think everyone needs a girlfriend like her. I love that Woody is realizing that he actually likes being romantic after seeing the benefits. I'm not just talking about sex either. It seems like he's really enjoying making Amani happy. UGH. Henry and Christina. They're still SO painful to watch. She keeps talking about how she's trying, but WOW, she shouldn't have to try so hard to get the smallest amount of anything from Henry. Karen needs to be educated about depression. What an ignorant viewpoint. Attitudes like that only perpetuate the stigma against mental illness. There's Miles opening up to her and she's thinking he's weak. I still think they're a good match, but Karen definitely needs to let go of some of her narrow-mindedness re: Miles' age and about clinical depression. Didn't Matt also refuse to rate his marriage with Amber? That doesn't bode well for Brett, does it? He's starting to show his jerkishness. Olivia definitely deserves better. Olivia and Bennett are still adorable. The experts really hit it out of the park on this one....although, who else in that batch of applicants would they match with either of them? Maybe that was the easiest match to make!

Meka and Michael had their marriage annulment signed off on today!
She posted a 15 minute video on her instagram about the process.
If they would have just gotten a divorce and not annulment then it would have been done sooner but he changed his mind and filed for annulment instead.
He blamed production that they weren’t matched properly and didn’t know what they were signing up for as the reason for the annulment. He feels they were matched for ratings only since they fought a lot.
Also apparently Michaels lawyer is representing Brandon for his divorce from Taylor.
What a mess last season was! Mindy had posted a picture tagging Zack back in July calling him out asking why he hasn’t responded for the divorce and that apparently worked so she should be divorced soon as well.
From Charlotte, Amber is finally divorced from Matt now too! She had a divorce party!

Last nights episode was interesting. So many fights in front of Pastor Cal.
While I don’t think Brett was ready to be married at all, Olivia is also not ready. She was so rude for Bretts house which he owns and was so stuck up and proud of her apartment that she rents. I see money being a MJAOR issue for them based on the lifestyle she wants. I’m not sure if she was clear enough in her match making by just saying she wants someone to travel and enjoy life. She needed to say she needs someone that can afford those things on their own if she isn’t willing to pay their way.
Henry and Christina make me cringe every time they are on. They have nothing in common. Why wouldn’t she show her house?!? I thought she just lived with her mom. It’s funny that Henry thinks she is impatient because based on what they show she is being beyond patient with him and his lack of communication. The preview next week shows him walking out.
Woody and Amani had an interesting fight as well about him wanting to know her decisions. I understood when he got into the bigger reason why and I liked that they were able to calmly talk it out vs going into nasty digs at one another like Olivia and Brett.
Amelia and Bennett are so cute. She loved his tiny house and was so proud he built it himself!
Karen and Miles- she has some walls up and I hope she lets them down for Miles. I think they will do well long term.

I noticed last night for the first time that Henry had numerous tics while sitting on the couch next to Christina while meeting with Pastor Cal. I wonder what other medical or social problems he may have that account for his rather bland personality. His selection to be one of the husbands out of the hundreds who applied was a gross error. Somewhere along the process he should have been eliminated unless, of course, the producers need to select participants they know will result in "water cooler," morning-after discussion among viewers.
Bennett and Amelia continue to be the most delightful couple. I see a long-term happy relationship for them.
I don't know why Karen continues to let the 4-year age difference be such a downer for her. She needs to give the pairing a chance. For me, Miles at 26 seems quite settled down.
Olivia needs to be more considerate of the wage difference between her and Brett. Maybe with time she'll feel more comfortable doing so. He's been self-sufficient and doing quite well owning a home by himself on one income. I had a short-lived marriage with my husband being the "have" and me being the "have not." It didn't last beyond five years. He traveled internationally while I stayed home. There never was an "us." It doesn't work well that way.

So that makes me wonder if her jet setting lifestyle she wants Brett to pay for too has run up a lot of credit cards. I'll bet Brett doesn't have much debt beyond his mortgage

I just got around to watching this week's Couples Cam. Oh my my heart went out to Danielle. I cried right along with her the entire episode. RIP sweet Henry. 🐾
Idk why Stephanie thought a vacation to Aruba during a pandemic was such a good idea. She seemed happy, though, to be leaving AJ behind. Beth and Jamie have Covid...well, hope that trip back home was worth it. I'm livid that once they found out they had a negative test result, they hopped back on a plane to California. They should have quarantined in NC for 14 days. Now they have possibly infected an entire plane full of passengers.

Brett has never been my favorite guy, and I'm shocked at myself for taking his side, but Olivia was just being snotty to him. His house, then the finances, she was not open minded at all. Compare that with some of the other women who were light-hearted about their spouse's living conditions! Olivia seemed so judgmental. She admitted to the camera that she's set in her ways, but she wants a partner in life: guess she wanted someone more passive (Henry?). Brett's kitty was being so sweet!! Aww! Didn't she bring her cats to the apartment, I wonder? Merging cats could be tricky.
Christina and Henry are horrible together. She can be so rude and snippy, and seems like she laughs at how he is. I didn't like her comment to Pastor Cal that other men always raved about her being so beautiful. The poor guy is in way over his head. Previews show her being rude again, and him leaving.
Still loving Miles, but Karen needs to chill. She's super cold to him, it seems, and wants to paint him as immature. He's trying to have fun with her, connect with her, and she's just not giving him anything. And when she said "okay" as her response to his divulging his depression, I was disappointed. Cold.
Bennett is adorable, and Amelia needs to brush her hair. hahaha, I mean, Amelia is being very kind to him, and they are a good match. Sometimes I forget they're intelligent people, because they just seem so silly, but then they'll say something and surprise me. lol
I love Amani, and except for the "attraction" comments, I like Woody too. They're super cute together. I hope he doesn't try to be too controlling (of her looks or of anything else), and stays as supportive and good natured as he's been in the beginning. I'd be cautious if I were her, probably.

They should have quarantined in NC for 14 days. Now they have possibly infected an entire plane full of passengers. I moved my mother out of her assisted living apartment in May and to my brother's home to live with him and his family for the balance of Covid. I fly to see her for a day or two every week. When I began feeling tired and worn out, I had myself tested. Twice. Both test results returned negative. I regularly search the internet for any evidence of transmissions suspected having occurred from flying and have only discovered four traced back as possible infections in mid/late February and early March. That's it. Like everywhere else I go, airports are empty. Hardly anyone is flying. 20 to 30 passengers on flights and sometimes fewer. Just saying ...

She's over her head, too. She doesn't converse or even ask what I consider relevant questions to discover who he really is. Perhaps has to do with her lack of patience? Regardless, I don't think Henry is into her. Didn't help when implied she's homeless or whatever we are to assume when she refused to film at her home.

For the first time, I felt sympathy for Brett. Olivia was so horrible to him. What was with that stink face at his house? No, it's not out of House Beautiful, but frankly, neither is her place. He worked and saved to buy that house and she acted like it was a dump. Yeah, it does look like a bachelor pad. A bachelor lived there! That's an easy thing to fix. I remember on Love is Blind, when one of the women saw her fiance's house for the first time and it was clearly a bachelor pad - no decorating and not much furniture either. Her only response was something like, "It's a good thing I'm here now. I'll bring some color into this place and make it look like a home!" None of these guys are living in a place that would be in Architectural Digest, but none of the other wives were rude about it. If income was such a big deal to Olivia, she should have specified that. If she wants to go on all those trips, then she can pay for it. If Bret made more money than she does, you KNOW she wouldn't have any problem with him paying for her. I've liked Olivia up to this point, but her behavior really turned me off.
Speaking of houses....of COURSE Amelia would love Bennett's tiny house! She seemed genuinely impressed that he'd built the house himself. I wouldn't want to live there (no bathroom or kitchen? ), but I'm impressed that he built it! A & B continue to be a joy to watch. I just love them. Like everyone else, Pastor Cal seems tickled by these two.
I also LOVE Woody and Amani. She's one of my all-time favorite people in this franchise. I just love her. I liked that Pastor Cal let them bicker a bit before just dropping a few questions that let them work things out. I like that they do well in working out disagreements.
It's so strange to me that the experts can do so well in matching some couples, but then just blow it with others.
I can barely watch Henry and Christina. WHY did they cast him? He has NO business being on this show. Christina isn't without her faults (who is?), but I think she would have been fine if they'd matched her with someone else.
I think that Miles and Karen will be okay if she can get over her trust issues and her problem over the age difference. I like that Pastor Cal pointed out that they really did pick Miles for her for specific reasons. They knew he possessed qualities she needed (I love that Miles looked pleased at Cal's assessment of him). I think they're a good match and could have a lasting marriage with a little help from Pastor Cal, who seems to be the only expert who actually helps the couples.
After watching Couples Cam, I'm just flabbergasted. What on EARTH were Jamie and Beth thinking? Were they exposed to her mother before they visited the two other couples? They definitely didn't maintain social distancing in those visits. They find out Beth's mom has Covid and then she hugs her mom anyway? "I don't care." Do you care NOW? They should have quarantined in North Carolina for two weeks before getting on a plane. Instead, they flew across country, exposing countless other people That first test they took seemed sketchy too. I've never heard of a test where you swab yourself. I think that, combined with the fact that the exposure was very recent, probably contributed to the first negative test. I'm curious to see how Keith and Kristine and Greg and Deonna react next week. I know I'd be FURIOUS.

I am catching up on all my shows for the past week, and I'm not quite all the way through the latest episode. I agree about Brett and Olivia. She was pretty stuck-up about his house - that he owns. She really doesn't see the value in him owning his own home, nor living beyond his means. I've personally only known a few married couples IRL that kept their finances separate. From what I'we seen it rarely is a good thing. Olivia's way of "pay your own way" was not the successful way I saw, it created resentments and was divisive. It was hard to tell if Brett made more if he'd be willing to spend any of his income on trips.
It was such a contrast with Amelia who was so impressed Bennett built his tiny house. Those two are obviously made for each other. I can't imagine any of the other wives having a good reaction to that! More importantly though is Amelia's mindset that if she is the bigger earner than she'll happily support her husband should he choose to be a SAH dad. Can you imagine if she and Brett were married. She would have been so proud of him for saving enough to buy his own home, and would happily pay for any trips she wanted to go on.

My husband and I keep our finances separate and have done so since day one--very happily married 32 years, and it works for us. My husband could care less, but I pretty much insisted on separate finances since I had a lot less money than he did at the time, he owned a beautiful home, etc. I just felt a lot better about myself having done so. We take wonderful trips, and I buy my own airline ticket, pay half the hotel etc. etc. I buy my own cars, pay for their upkeep, etc. The only thing we kind of fudge on is that I buy the groceries, and he pays the property taxes.

I thought it was telling on Couples Cam when, after Jamie and Beth told the other couples they had tested positive for Covid, someone asked if they were quarantining in North Carolina. Which is what they SHOULD have done! I'm sorry they're sick, but it was a stupid decision to get on a plane after knowing they'd been exposed.
I'm glad Jamie and Doug were able to see her family, but NO MASKS? WTH? Seeing her mom reminded me of how annoying she can be with that happy, fake voice, like everything's just fine. I don't think Jamie is anything like her mother, although I see a bit of that fake voice thing in Jamie when she hosts Unfiltered. I wish someone would tell her she doesn't have to put on that "mask" in that job. How she is naturally would be just fine.
I'm really worried for Ashley right now. I hope the baby is okay. Like many other things, that would be scary under normal circumstances, but right now, it's even more so.
On the "mother ship" show, have we ever had a season where it was MORE clear which couples will stay together? It seems there's a pretty big dividing line between two groups.

I rarely LOL at anything on TV. But last nights episode had me laughing!
Bennet trying to hit the piñata with a sweater over his head. Looked like a scene from I love Lucy.
One couple was talking about the wife’s legging, which had a skin exposing panel. The husband said he was turned on by the little peak of skin. The wife said “I think you’d get excited if I were wearing a burka.” The husband thought she said “burger” and started going on about wrapping her in a bun with some ketchup and mustard. When they realized his misinterpretation, they both cracked up. It was too funny.

Yes I enjoyed them too. Too funny. Nice to see them enjoying each other. I’m sure the show will have them have some made up drama.
Not sure why Karen got so upset with Miles putting sex on the calendar , still an issue next show. He only did it because of their conversation . I’m sure he wouldn’t push it because it is on the calendar. Her guard is so up. He seems like a great kind guy.
Henry and Christina are not going to make it. Or Brett and Olivia, wait until she see they matched because of the cats...lol
Woodie really surprised me so far . Love these two.
What was up with all the gators, I would not go to that park, all I kept thinking of what a bad idea to sit on that bench...lol
I watched the couples cam with the others. What the heck is with all the travelling they are all doing. All I can do is go to the grocery store . Won’t even go to the mall right now. Can’t believe Jamie and Beth didn’t quarantine in N.C. Sure go on a plane get tested at home. So sad for Ashley I’m guessing all is well with the baby. I had bleeding at 8 weeks very scary but had my son full term they gave me some hormones for a week.

On the show, Jamie and Beth said they were tested BEFORE flying home and filmed testing again in California when they began feeling sick. What you're supposed to do when you're exposed to a person who has Covid is immediately quarantine for 14 days, NOT get on a a plane and fly across the country. That test they took in NC was questionable at best. I've never heard of a Covid test that you administer yourself. Plus, it's common with lots of viruses to not get an accurate test when it's administered so soon after exposure. They blew it.
Their lack of maturity is shocking. So NOW they're going to stay put and not risk exposure? Too late
Some people on the MAFS Reddit seem to think Bennett isn't as into Amelia as she is into him and that he's more excited to not have to work than he is about her. I don't see that at all. From that one clip we know that he said "I love you" first. It seems like they're both all in on the relationship. I like how they were both sweet, but low key about admitting they'd consummated their marriage.
Who's going to be next to consummate? It should be Will and Karen, but I think it might be Brett and Olivia.
