Oh great, they chose someone with trust issues again? Why?? Why pick her, and why does she want to do a show like this?? And a pilot who's divorced, not with a flight attendant but there's one of those too. Auto broker with an engineer (is showing three fingers in a photo one of those "signs" that mean something?)! LOL The accountant and finance manager at least will have something in common right away. I wonder when this taped?

First BIG spoiler of the season from MAFSfan on Instagram: {Spoiler} This is in reference to the line in the season preview about someone saying “she’s pregnant”
This is about Chris and Paige. Chris finds out his ex girlfriend/fiancé is pregnant with his child after marrying Paige. But there is some speculation he already knew this before getting married at first sight.
Chris and Paige continue to film together and separately for the 8 weeks.
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOWWWW. What a mess and I feel sorry for Paige in this.

WHY did they match Chris? WHY!? And why would they match him with someone sweet like Paige? She doesn't deserve that arrogant jerk. I guess "submission" is a concept that I find offensive, so when a guy lists it as a requirement, I bristle.
I'm not really that enthusiastic about any of the couples yet. As with every other season, we'll just have to wait and see.
As I think MAFS Fan commented on IG last night about watching the casting special, did it feel like Covid didn't exist? I mean, they were sort of socially distant, but no one was wearing masks and they were clinking glasses after one of them held both glasses to fill them. My mom and I were horrified when Pastor Cal hi-fived Clara and then she touched her face!

I was afraid that one of the girls were pregnant already....both would be bad.
All I heard too with this guy was submissive. No thanks.
Not sure about any of these ones. Thought it was terrible for them to show a few and call them unmatchable. What will these people think when watching this. I truly think there is someone for everyone out there.
I too was wondering about COVID . Thought this one was film before it but that didn’t make sense since the last one was during it. I

I too was wondering about COVID . Thought this one was film before it but that didn’t make sense since the last one was during it. I I sort of agree with you, but there definitely are some who are just horrible. There's always a guy who gives a laundry list of what the woman should look like and what he likes in bed.....and that's it. That creepy one with the waxed eyebrows and sex toys gave me psycho vibes for sure. They should give them all coaching and show them video of themselves so they can see how they come off. I think many don't realize what they're putting out there.
Whenever the experts do the home visits, I think about how I would NEVER let a stranger paw through my underwear drawer. Seriously, WTH?
This season was definitely filmed after New Orleans. They did make reference to Covid, but it doesn't seem like they're taking it super seriously. I wonder what the infections numbers are in Atlanta. I guess we'll see if things are different once they start airing episodes in a few weeks

I read that this current season was filmed this Summer, so yes, the numbers were still likely lower, but still kind of crazy to think the experts were making home visits, standing thisclose to participants and NOT wearing masks!!! I guess we will see what happens in future episodes, including the wedding ceremonies and receptions, about how COVID protocol is followed.
Still too early for me to get a feel, but I disliked Chris from the start, even more so now reading the dirt.

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOWWWW. What a mess and I feel sorry for Paige in this. According to MAFSFAN the timeline was weddings August 28-29 and decision day end of October. Reunion has yet to be filmed further update to this spoiler {Spoiler} Chris got engaged on Feb 15 2020
As of the end of June- they were still engaged
The weddings happened August 28-29.....so less than 2 months after he was still engaged
Then in October an article was posted about Chris in a business magazine and the photo credits were given to the ex fiancé...
I cannot believe he was picked to be matched. Paige looks way too nice for this drama. Hopefully she can get an annulment

So, based on spoilers, once again the "experts" and the research people on this show have shown that they can't do simple background checks on people. I mean, some of this stuff is SO easy to find Social media accounts are not some super secret impenetrable fortress. It looks like the things MARS Fan posted were public posts. I'd be furious if I was the other person in the marriage.

The thing that bugged me most about Chris was he had to mention the money he has and the things he can buy with that money every time he speaks. I get being proud of your acheivements, but he seems to have the idea that he thinks some dollars is all he needs to bring to a marriage.

They seem to only give lip service to taking the marriage part of this serious. If they won't even vet people properly then there will be problems in who they choose. It's really crazy to mess with their lives like that.
You know, I've wondered if in Keith and Iris' season (Hopefully that's their names) if he did it to make his dying grandmother happy, if she wanted to see him married. That would better explain his mom's and his big freak out that Iris was a virgin - they realized she was really hoping for a lasting marriage.

I think MAFS has run it's course for me. It hasn't for me, but after last season, I wonder how they will ever do better. The New Orleans season was just special.
Really happy that the three couples from last season will be on Couples Cam! Having more couples will I think make it easier on all of them. While I'm sure they like having that income, it must be tough to be filming yourselves all the time.

I recorded yesterday's episode but hadn't realized it was 3 hours! I tried to get into it but after the events of yesterday, my mind kept wandering. I gave up after about 10 minutes. Any interesting tidbits offered up?

I didn't even know it was on. IIRC, it wasn't a "real" episode. Based on the previews, it seemed like it was going to be random people talking about the upcoming season. The season actually starts with the weddings next week.

They did this before last season too. They had 4 people from magazines say if they thought the couples would make it. One lady was from Ebony, one was from Us Weekly...etc.
Than for each new couple this season they brought on old season couples and watched an unseen scene. Nothing sticks out that I can remember other than the pilot guy was talking to his mom and she didn’t like him doing this.
They also had the old couples play and game to see of they know each other. They had Jamie and Doug, Shawniece and Jephi , Anthony and Ashley who is due in 3 months. Woody and Arnmie, Beth and Jamie who moved in to a house in Santa Barbara. Others did a recording but nothing new really with them , just wished the new couples luck.
It did not need to be 3 hours. They showed some of the bachelor/ bachelorette parties....really don’t like Chris. He came with a blow up doll . One of the girls was really drunk , not sure which one.

I just find it's not interesting to me any more. It's not as if I don't have a thousand other things to watch! That's understandable! I still find it interesting but I'm becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the lack of due diligence. How many times can I give them the benefit of the doubt thinking each time they have glaringly not vetted someone properly that they'll do better next time? These are people's real lives they are messing with. I'm beginning to think the producers don't care about that fact. I love when there are couples who truly find each other, but maybe continued watching has not encouraged them to do a better job in vetting.

Well, it looks like, just as we saw with Brett last season, at least a few of the husbands have Chris' number. I mean, I think most of us had his number after the casting special. SO MANY red flags. Why didn't the experts see them? He admitted to recently being engaged, but if that engagement ended 3 months before the filming on this season started, then how long before that did he apply to be on the show? I don't think it's an overnight process. I'd guess it takes months. SO, he either dumped her to do this show or he applied to be on the show before or just after they broke up. It's definitely not good, whatever the timing it. I feel so sad for Paige. She seems like a sweetheart.
I think Virginia and Erik are a mismatch too. She's a party girl and he's a homebody. Opposites do not attract! As someone said on that special with Kevin Frasier, she seems even younger than she is: it's like she's 21 and still in college. They both seem like nice people (even if she does seem far too interested in alcohol to be healthy), but I don't think they're a good match.
I have my fingers crossed for Ryan & Clara and Briana & Vincent. They're all adorable.
I'm not sure about Haley and Jacob. Sometimes it seems like he's a big child (that whole room in his house that seems to be dedicated to video gaming = red flag), but then he'll say something that makes me think he's a good guy. She seems like a nice person and I love her wedding dress.

I started watching the recorded episode around 11 pm and fell asleep just around the time they showed the guys at their bachelor party. All the guys were giving Chris the side eye. What was with all the questions? I only saw a little bit and then promptly fell asleep. 3 hours is much too long, even when zipping through commercials. I agree with your comments, Critical, and I had high hopes for Vincent and Briana, especially, as Vincent really seemed to want to have the loving home life he didn't have growing up. However, I did read that he got a bit too friendly with one of the cage dancers. What's up with that?

I would not go along with the blindfold on my wedding day. He got to see all the people there on the other side. She didn’t get to experience going down the aisle like brides do. Her new husband has pointy ears, I know he can’t help it but the hair cut ...just no.
I thought Clara would be the wild one but it is the other one that is to marry the pilot. Good luck to him. He is the one that was divorced too.
A lot of these ladies don’t want to change anything, I’m going to do what I want attitude. This should be fun.
The guy with the beach in the backyard...or the big litter box in my opinion....lol reminds me of Doug, Jamie husband. His looks I mean.
Chris I have no words. Paige seems on the wild side so see how this goes.
I think we are going to have drama early this season.

It seemed like innocuous flirting, started by the dancer. IIRC, there was zero physical contact. They were just talking about how he was marrying someone he hadn't met and that it could be anyone, including her. He said he'd be happy if it was her.
Obviously, it could mean nothing, but the body language in some of the pics seems to indicate some couples are closer than others....or at least more comfortable with each other:

Chris is a jerk! Ugh Amen! That's an understatement, for sure, especially in light of the spoilers, but even without them. What is with him and "ugly?" Pretty is as pretty does, you pig. He seems to be one of those guys (I'm not going to say "men" because he isn't one) who values looks above all else. I loved the expressions of all the other men when he kept hammering on that same point.
Just as with Woody and Miles last season, I was impressed with Vincent and his friends and how they actually have REAL conversations and important stuff. Contrast that with Chris and his frat boy bros. All that was missing was a keg

He brags about owning a restaurant, but guess what? He owns a Subway franchise: I mean, that's not nothing and good for him, but he definitely isn't leading with the Subway name.
