Another photograph is shared and shows the close sibling bond between the royal children. So sweet!

Isn't she stunning? Stunning British Royal Women during my lifetime: First, there was Elizabeth, then Ann, then Diana, and now Catherine. (And soon to join the list of Stunning Royals is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.)

Folks have been speculating online as to the nature of the surgery considering her post op stay will be 2 weeks. I must confess that I'm curious as well. Here in the U.S. you can have open heart surgery and they let you out after a few days. It's nuts. Best wishes to both Princess Kate and King Charles as they recuperate.

I thought it might be a hysterectomy, and because she's a royal, they keep them in longer. Open heart surgery here , 5 -6 days and you're home.

I had abdominal surgery twice a few years ago (long story). I was in for 9 days the first time (they had to monitor me before the surgery). The second time was shorter, I want to say 5 days?

Quick healing to them both, although I could have gone my whole life without hearing anything about his prostate.

I really don't visit this thread anymore but I'm curious; is the good sis Kate okay, or what? Because there's mad speculation on what procedure she's undergoing and the time involved; 2 weeks for post-op is a lot.

I really appreciate the fact that King Charles has allowed his cancer diagnosis to be shared with the public. So now, we don't have to have months of speculation and crazy theories. Hopefully his cancer is one of the very slow growing, and relatively easy to treat forms. In any event, I wish him well.

They’re brave to announce anything at all about this. So much speculation for what should be private. Sad, sad news for the country and the world, because Charles and his position are both a clear force for good even though he has his failings and prejudices. So many cancers are treatable now; I hope he recovers to full health.

Yes I misread the initial post from Imperfect1 to say “thankfully” instead of “hopefully”, which changed the meaning, hence my post. My apologies.
