Hopefully people will leave her alone, now. I can't imagine dealing with that and having all the gossip flying about you and your husband, too. I hope she pulls through. 42 is so young.

The way they presented it on the news it sounds like they got it out and the chemo is just preventative. That being said, I’ve had chemo and I don’t wish it on anyone. I’m not sure I’d ever have it again. It’s just horrible. That’s what I thought, too (regarding getting it all out). I had a hysterectomy a number of years back to get rid of endometrial cancer, which was early stage and totally contained within the uterus. It’s possible that it was something like that and they’re just doing chemo as an extra precaution. Mikesgirl, there are some types of chemo now where you don’t lose your hair. It would be great if that proved to be the case for her. Wishing her an easy and full recovery.

Now maybe people can give them a break. Prayers for Kate.

I'm praying for her along with million of others, hopefully it's not ovarian. I had a friend that went through that, she is cancer free now, but it was such a long process for her. Although any chemo is a long and difficult process. Cancer survivors really are hero's.

Given the long recovery time they announced when she went into the hospital, I wondered whether it was a case involving diverticulitis or some other intestinal issue that would require a temporary colostomy. They are sometimes necessary to give the repaired intestines a chance to heal up, and then the parts are sewn back together for normal processes to take over.
Whatever it was, whatever it is, I'm sure we're all hoping for a successful result from the chemotherapy.

I read a story earlier quoting “palace insiders” who are saying the the King’s cancer is pancreatic. I hope it’s not true, because if it is, the prognosis can’t be good

I read a story earlier quoting “palace insiders” who are saying the the King’s cancer is pancreatic. I hope it’s not true, because if it is, the prognosis can’t be good But if it was discovered while he was having prostate surgery . . . ? My suspicion is that it is more likely bladder cancer. It's in the same general area.

Well, it made Harry drop everything and visit his dad. So, it might be something more serious after all. Poor William, he has a lot on his shoulders right now.

I hope it’s not true, because if it is, the prognosis can’t be good But if it was discovered while he was having prostate surgery . . . ? My suspicion is that it is more likely bladder cancer. It's in the same general area. “The palace has not specified the type of cancer (though a spokesperson confirmed it is not prostate cancer following the King’s treatment for benign prostate enlargement in January), and King Charles has continued to work behind the scenes. A source close to the royal household previously told PEOPLE says that the monarch is "coping well" with his treatment”. That quote is from People Magazine but, other media is reporting the same thing. My father in law had bladder cancer, was treated, and cured, although reconstructive surgery may result in life changing results. I hope it’s not pancreatic cancer. Queen Shares Health Update

All of this is a blow to the royals. Two cancers, the photograph debacle. I’ve sometimes wondered if the royals could decrease prying if they became essentially open about their lives. Tradition, from Elizabeth, dictates that would never happen. Maybe it wouldn’t help, but geez so much conspiracy talk and guessing. Their lives are hard enough without all that.
I wish them well- they’re very important to the stability of the nation.

Been out of town all weekend...sorry to hear this news. I wish her well. Although it's not a popular opinion, I think the Royal Family handled this thing very strangely and made it so much worse for Kate. No pictures would have been better than botched pictures. I feel like they threw her under the bus. Sorry

I read King Charles will be at Easter service as usual, he's very close to Catherine, both going through a terrible time.
