It's going to be starring Rob Lowe, and called "911: Lone Star," set in Autsin. No word yet if any major characters are leaving the main show to join this one

New season premiered on Monday. All I can say is, I hope Buck knows that the water receding means a tsunami is coming. A lot of tsunami casualties could’ve been prevented if people knew that - they foolishly go out and collect fish or treasure.

Hope nothing happens to the boy.
Did I just forget that Bobby and Athena got married. Did they show it . I remember them getting engaged. Bobby said it was their first party after getting married.

I don’t recall if they showed it, but they said they were going to do it in the courthouse with no big party and no fanfare.

I just love Maddie and Chimney, such a cute couple, even though Im not a fan of JLH
Poor Buck, he's so good with Christopher, and next week? Oh just a tsunami headed their way! Gulp!
Athena and Bobby, she's dynamite , and another couple that compliment each other so well.
A solid premiere.

Can something good come Buck's way for a change? Poor guy has been through all kinds of crap lately. I'm glad they found the little boy, I was starting to worry they'd take it another direction...

Yes, that was satisfying. He almost found him at the first shelter where the woman carrying Chris had wrapped him in a red sweater? scarf? and held his head against her shoulder so he didn't see his face. But, if he had connected then we would have lost the drama of the eventual reunion.

Well I was feeling bad for Buck. What is he thinking?? I know he wants his job back, but come on, guy.
And those two nitwits arguing over their mom's ring at the end - ugh.

That was an excellent episode last night. I love Athena/Angela Bassett. I see they're airing ads for a 9-1-1 spin off starting in January. I'm sure I'll watch, even though I'm not a huge Rob Lowe fan.

We liked Robe Lowe in Code Black, so we'll be watching It was a very different 9-1-1 Athena breaking down at the end , was terrific acting..

I might watch the spin-off, but more for Liv Tyler than anything else.
I loved this Athena-centric episode too! Angela KILLED IT. That final scene with her and Bobby? I lost it.
Also, is Bobby the perfect man or what? He's amazing.

Poor Hen, nothing seems to be going her way lately. That accident scene was so sad. I agree about Eddie and the fight club mess - not that I mind all the shirtless scenes, but it just seems out of character. I guess that was the easiest way for them to fit Ronda Rousey and her scrunchy-faced "acting" into the show. Psh.

She introduces him to (illegal) underground fighting, then sells him out when it goes sideways. Words of Wisdom from Athena "As a police officer, I strongly advise you against any form of cooperation with the police."

Okay, the popped out eyes in the opener were absolutely disgusting. The girl on the first date who clogged the toilet was funny, though Maddie's boss getting beat up on his "date" wasn't pleasant to watch. And it looks like Eddie is going to have a new love interest...at least it's not Rousey. Ugh.

Her "acting" is painful to watch.
My mom loves this show, but is so queasy about blood. Some of these calls are just gratuitously gruesome. I wonder if they sit in the writers' room coming up with the most disgusting and gory scenarios they can think of. I still love the show, but sometimes ---->
That assault scene was so awful. I wish he'd gone to police about it. Maybe he still will...

Looks like next week's finale is a literal trainwreck. I teared up when Red walked out of the hospital and all his old coworkers were there saluting. Poor Buck was just trying to do a good thing...so is Abby coming back for a while, or just for the finale? I can't find anything about her coming back to the show as a regular.

I'd guess she's just coming back to give Buck some closure. I knew they were bringing her back as soon as they started talking about her multiple times. I love Connie Britton, but I think Buck needs to move on from Abby.
The finale is two parts, so we get two more weeks of episodes.
I knew, as soon as the woman opened the door that Red's old flame had dementia I'm glad these shows are shining a light on how many firefighters suffer from mesothelioma due to asbestos exposure. IIRC, Chicago Fire did a story about it not long ago.

Well, whatever else happened in the season finale, one thing's for sure - the wardrobe department still HATES Connie Britton. Good LORD, I didn't think they could do worse to her than they did in season 1. Seriously though, what kind of 1980s Casual Corner crap was that!? UGH. Of course, it matches the character because that final scene with Abby and Buck was TERRIBLE. I guess if Abby wasn't awful, Buck wouldn't be able to move on, but jeez.
When I saw Rumer Willis, I was worried they'd turn her into a love interest for Buck....Oh GOD, please don't let that be a storyline for next season!
Too funny that they finished the episode with "Only You" by Yaz, which was the song at the end of Can't Hardly Wait, starring JLH, who was in the big scene at the end of that movie.
