I'm sick of the Nelle storyline, as well. Too drawn out. We know she's evil, now let's move on. IMO, what would make more drama in Carly's life than this Nelle storyline, is Brenda coming back to Port Charles.

I've hated Nelle from about her second scene. They can toss her down an elevator shaft any time they like and I'd be thrilled. I'm always puzzled at how some showrunners seem to LOOOVE certain characters/actors when the fans don't. Are they that tone deaf? It's not "characters we love to hate." It's just characters who waste air time. Sorry, but she's just not a good enough actress to be a villain we love to hate, a la Helena Cassadine or Janet the Planet (I know she's Heather on GH, but I always think of her as Janet)!

Nelle has turned out to be a much more formidable villain than I had originally given her credit for. I'm wondering if she actually planned to throw herself down the stairs. If so, that really takes some (demented) guts! But I'm so glad that Jason and Carlie are finally on to her. It's not quite as good as the whole storyline being over, but at least it's a big step in the right direction. And for me, it's always more fun when someone of substance is finally on to the bad guy/gal. Similarly, I'm so glad that someone is finally on to Valentin. And it's so great that the hero that got him under control is Robert Scorpio. I don't know will happen with Valentin and Heinrich/Peter, but at least those storylines are finally moving. Especially now that Jason, Sam and Spinelli have figured out that Peter August is Heinrich. |

As much as I don't like the Nelle storyline, I think Chloe Lanier is an extremely good actress, especially for someone as young as her. I'm glad she won the Emmy. I felt the same about Maura West's acting skills (Ava) when she joined the show.

I agree about Chloe Lanier.....I think she is doing a great job being the "villainess" everyone in PC loves to hate!!! AVA did amazing with her song. It was the PERFECT song for her. Her outfit, her dance, the dancers, everything!!!! MAXIE HAD HER BABY and its a BOY. :D (I miss Nathan so much).  Gawd, I have posted this before on this GH thread.....Billy Miller is always so miserable. I just wish maybe ONCE he would smile. When he was on Y&R he was such a fun loving PLAYBOY......I miss that from him. CARLA HALL from The Chew, LOVED seeing her!!! |

Yeah, I don't care if she won an Emmy. I still can't stand her and I don't think the actress is any good. There are lots of people who feel the same way about other Emmy winners. I don't think she's a strong enough actress to be a true soap villain. She's like the puppet of a great soap villain. I wouldn't be surprised in the LEAST to find that someone like Helena had been pulling the strings with her the whole time.

Great episode today, and finally some quasi-resolutions on all kinds of fronts:
They FINALLY all know that Peter is Heinrich! Except Maxi. That'll be sad when she finds out.
Nina now knows that Valentin knew all along that Peter was Heinrich!
Peter/Heinrich (and Jason, Sam, Finn, and Robert) now know that Anna is Heinrich's mother.
Maxi's had her baby, who is safe in the nursery -- for now. But the fact that Maxi hasn't been able to see her baby except on an iPad screen is VERY SUSPICIOUS --- cause how is she going to be able to identify him with certainty if she hasn't actually seen him in person (when Nelle's baby dies and Nelle steals Maxi's baby from the nursery and claims him as her own baby).
Anna and Finn look like they're on the road to being together. . .
Kiki has opened up (at least to Griffin) about Dr Bensch sexually harassing her
Ava and Griffin are opening up to each other about not being able to get/give what they want
What else? Did I forget anything?

I agree Imperfect1It was a great episode so much happened. Kiki also has told Michael she is being sexually harassed. Ohhhh crap.....I did not even think of the Nelle/Maxie swap with Nelle getting Baby West. Maxie is going to be so devastated about Peter.....I mean she is actually thinking of Peter as a middle name for the baby. Nina.....I hope she is done with Valentin once and for all. |

I've been suspecting Maxi will use the iPad to look at her son and the crib will be empty. Do they really use iPads in hospitals for that purpose? I thought they just wheel the mom into the NICU.

I've been on this planet a loooong time, and I've worked (as an RN) in the post-partum section of hospitals, with new born babies and their mothers, and I've NEVER EVER heard of a hospital using an iPad as the only way for the mother to see her baby. And that goes double for not allowing a mother to be transported into the NICU. Whether the mom is in a wheelchair or laying flat on a bed, they can almost always get the mom to the infant, one way or another. Even if the NICU is too small to wheel a bed in, they can make alternative arrangements for the parents. So to me, it was a huge red flag: The minute the nurse handed Maxi the iPad, it was very clear: soap opera + iPad = stolen baby. |

So, are we supposed to hate Peter/Heinrich? Sympathize with him? Love him? 'Cause I just don't know, probably because I don't watch the show so regularly any more. I really like the actor though. I love seeing pics of him and Laura Wright together on her IG. They make such a cute couple.
It's crazy, but I've never been a big fan of Michael Eason on ANY soap he's been on. Something about whisper-y voices, I guess. That's the same reason Kelly Monaco bugs me sometimes. That breathy, whisper-y voice. UGH. ME's hair has always bothered me too. They just cut it strangely around his ears/sideburns and I can't stop fixating on it.
Okay, now all that being said, I can't believe that I'm actually rooting for Finn and Anna to get together! This is literally the first time ever that I've looked forward to ME's scenes. That must mean I'm a REALLY big fan of Finola Hughes! lol

Kiki and Griffin? I am about to watch. He hugged her for a sec at the Ball because the Doc was around annoying her. Ava see's that hug and goes all ape crap over the hug and basically tells him "we're done". Griffin must have gone to find Kiki who was drinking up a storm at the empty Ball. Ava comes running back to Griffin to tell him she was sorry for mouthing off and he is not around. NOW I know where he is!!! Wow. Ava finds out she will be WILD. Oh well. Oh gawd ME's hair.......can't anyone over there at GH convince him to get a make-over. I would LOVE to see him with a BETTER hair style/cut. I just read THE CHEW has been cancelled. Maybe CARLA HALL will be full time on GH!!! biggrin |

Well it looks like what I've suspected & feared for a long time is happening. They're putting Drew with that washed out wimpy woman instead of Sam. Also they're putting Alexis back with Julian, the man who tried to murder her by strangulation. Yuck on both accounts. Now I have two pair storylines to FF through.
So far I don't care for Peter/Heinrik, but I'm open to have my mind changed if they reveal more information on him that deserves a second chance.
I'm soooooo over the whole Nelle gaslighting & cruelly tormenting Carly storyline. In fact, I'm over Nelle in general. Villains need to have something to make you sympathize with them, or at least be fun to watch & be full rounded characters. Nelle has neither of these. I cringe every time her smarmy smirk is seen on my screen. Plus, I want her baby gone too. Right down an elevator shaft onto spikes for both of them.
Before anyone things I'm awful for wishing this on a baby, it's NOT a baby. It's a fictional storyline. I don't wish evil on the actress or her now or future children. Just the characters.
