Watched all of the bizarrely named The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window last night. I guess you could call it a parody of all the popular thriller/murder mysteries of late? After the first couple of episodes (they're short) I really got into it...don't know what to think about that last scene, though.

Watched "The Tinder Swindler" and wow, I could really see why these ladies thought he was rich but if he's asking for money a month into the relationship it's a scam. He conned one woman out of 250k she didn't have (she took out about 8 loans) and they figured that he's conned people to the extent of 10 million dollars? At least he can't con anyone now because his name, face, and everything he did is on the internet now. He never got arrested for conning those women either; he ultimately did time for having a fake passport. Sadly, he's a self help/business guru who has a good business now.

The PUPPET MASTER: Hunting the Ultimate ConmanThis three-part series tells the jaw-dropping story of one of the world's most audacious conmen who was convicted in 2005 for stealing fortunes and destroying multiple lives. But now, in an incredible twist, the story reaches into the present day, with a desperate family who fear for their mother's safety. This was awesome. The true story of a CONMAN. Just 3 episodes. Sarah's father was terrific, in tracking her down. Who else has he conned by now?

On Friday, 2/11, the new mini-series Inventing Anna premieres on Netflix. It's a Shonda Rhimes production starring Julia Garner (Ruth from Ozark) and Laverne Cox. "New Netflix Series ‘Inventing Anna’ Is Brilliant Must-See TV" link

Ok, that is now on my list Punkin. So happy to see Laverne Cox again, I love her!
Speaking about people that were in OITNB, when I was watching Archive 81 (which I LOVED and so sad that I reached the last episode) the BFF of Dan was the guard who fell in love with Daya. It was great to see him again!

Yes, I have "Inventing Anna" on my list now. Thanks Punkin Last night we watched " MADE YOU LOOK" .... OMGOSH what an INTERESTING yet TROUBLING docu on the ART WORLD and the selling of FAKE ART. Made You Look is an American crime documentary about the largest art fraud in American history set in the super rich, super obsessed and super fast art world of New York.

Watching "All of us are dead" and I have to admit it's fun. I can only imagine being a teenager getting paid like $150 bucks a day to run around and move your body like a zombie; what fun! You can tell the kids are having a good time too.

Evil Genius: The True Story of America's Most Diabolical Bank Heist
"The extraordinary story of the "pizza bomber heist" and the FBI's investigation into a bizarre collection of suspects."
Many of you have to remember that 2003 breaking news story when that pizza delivery man tried to rob a bank with a bomb around his neck.
Wait until you watch this series of I believe 4 episodes. Shocking. It is on Netflix and it is not a new series.
But definitely a true story that will amaze and shock you.

I saw something about it a couple of years ago, maybe, on one of the news shows like Dateline. It was really a weird and shocking case. Maybe we will check this out this weekend.

momrek06 A little factoid on Evil Genius. The guy that built the contraption was my husband's HS substitute shop teacher. Pretty sad to watch all around. I watched Tinder Swindler yesterday and it was worth it. Additionally, Shimon/Simon has been banned from dating apps. 😂

Wasn't he the brains behind the making of the contraption? And yes I saw that Shimon/Simon was banned from dating apps BUT he is another evil genius that will figure away to get back on those apps.

That must've been hard for the family.

Yeah, I watched this doc a couple of years ago and though it was a totally bizarre story, though they could have left out the violent death scene without taking away from the crazy!
Binged Inventing Anna today. The nine-episode mini-series was terrific! Loved Julia Garner (Ozark) and the other female leads. Fire up the Popcorn! Well worth the watch!

Watched the first episode of the Anna show and...yeah. None of these people are likable and Anna is supposed to be very charismatic but is not in this? I don't care about the reporter's life at all and the bulk of scenes in the first episode were about her and her obsession with Anna. I'll watch another episode to see if it picks up but I'm welmed.

I don't understand, it's Shondra Rhimes. It should be better than this. I hope the first couple of episodes is setting everything up so we can see everything else later because right now it is charmless. It's a pity because the original New Yorker article the reporter wrote was very engaging and really put you in the middle of things.

The husband is nice and I like Viv's older co-workers. Nice to see Meredith Grey's dad from Grey's Anatomy. Also, Kate Burton always classes up a show, imo. I guess I am easily entertained. 🤷

It gets better. I set aside my whole Friday to binge because of Julia Garner. And though it started slow, it really picked up in the storytelling. I'd still recommend. It's a goofy, yet mostly true, story.

I didn't expect the killer to turn out to be who they were. And I want to make chicken casserole.
