Life After Death with Tyler Henry! Tyler Henry is IMHO a remarkable Medium. When he was 18 he had a few seasons of a cable show, doing readings for various Celebs. He's a few years older now and still remarkable, but this time, no celebs. I'm on Ep.3 and it's much better than his earlier cable show. He even worked to help solve some cold case crimes. He also gets more into his real life and tries hard to articulate how the readings come to him, but who can understand what is really incomprehensible? He's such an absolutely lovely young man and I'm happy I ran into this in their lineup! In-between the various readings he is working through DNA and his psychic powers or whatever to solve a mystery in his own family. Interesting! Thank you for recommending this! I binged it over the weekend and then went to YouTube to catch more from his Hollywood shows.

I watched a couple of episodes the new baking show, Is It Cake? I like the show, the cakes are amazing but I don't like the host very much. I'll keep watching it though.

Wow, the first two episodes of Worst Roommate Ever hit pretty close to home. Literally. I've driven past the Dorothea Puente house probably hundreds of times and Orange, CA where Marisol Ramos' story took place, is a city I know well. Scary stuff.
These stories just reinforce my rule about not ever having another roommate! Mine was nuts, but at least she didn't try to kill me (that I know of!)
I haven't watched Is It Cake? yet, but I like Mikey Day and baking shows, so I'll probably give it a try.

Season 2 of Bridgerton was great. I see that Shonda changed a few things as she did with season 1, but it still makes for an integrated storyline. People who have read the books should enjoy the fresh perspective she provides. I binged it and will now start watching from the beginning again. I can't wait for Benedict's story, and then at long last Colin's. Eloise story is one of the few novels in the series that I read, except for the first one about Daphne and the Duke. The Duke is absent of course in the new season, but Rege-Jean really should consider making a brief appearance once in awhile. His part would be much like Francesca's or even Hyacinths, almost invisible, until their story will be told.

Finished season 2 of the Bridgertons. Enjoyed it very much.
Glad that they made this season more sensual vs intimate sex scenes. The longing looks were good but also glad to see both main characters get out of their own ways.
The show does show how restrictive women's rights were and I applaud the modiste, Penny, and her mother for trying to manage and control their lives and not depend on feckless men.
You really want to hate Lady Featherington but I must applaud that she is not the vapid twit she appears. In one sense I think viewers will hate her for the manipulation of the Ton but it was a eat or be eaten world.
I like seeing the growth of Penny. Penny is very much like her mother in some ways and it is funny how people dismiss her. Penny has a good grasp at how her world works.
Eloise is a rebel who would not survive in the real world because she really does not understand how shielded she is by her family's money. I am glad Penny talked back to her.
I also liked the flashback scenes and the scene between Antony and Gregory in Antony's study when he was telling stories about their father. I also appreciate that this family is comfortable with embracing each other and not making it weird.

Agree it would have been nice to be on set for a day or two to film all of your scenes and be done with it but it would have been so much fun for the viewers.

It is a shame that journalism being a dying profession for all the editing problems I find in articles: I think they meant denied the allegations not died the allegations. Don't they have copy editors anymore? On a daily basis in most articles I find spelling errors and the wrong words used all the time.

I was also glad we didn't get such graphic sex scenes. It isn't necessary. It was hot enough without them.

I’m confused about one thing, though… wasn’t the artist brother gay season 1?

I’m confused about one thing, though… wasn’t the artist brother gay season 1? The brother meet an artist who was either bi or gay and would go the artist's house for parties/orgies. There was a scene where Benedict observed his artist friend making out with the male model.

Kate is so gorgeous, especially when they dressed her in dark blue or purple. When Anthony first saw her racing on horseback with the dark blue cloak, it was a stunning introduction to their attraction.

I’m confused about one thing, though… wasn’t the artist brother gay season 1? Not gay, so much as his friends were. At first he seemed alarmed by it, shied away from it, but then learned to accept his friends as they were. I think his relationship with Madam Delacroix implies that he was straight. At least, so it appears. But, Shonda probably wanted to incorporate LGBTQ into her stories. She is breaking boundaries. Benedicts story with Sophie (next season) is a ground breaker of sorts (breaking class barriers), so I don't think she needs to take creative license with it, but, I have to admit she is very creative and integrates deviations from J Quinn beautifully. So who knows. ETA: One of my favorite actors Julian Ovenden played Lord Granville who was gay but married, which was a curiosity to Benedict at first. He came to realize in season 1 that Henry Granville's wife was aware of her husband's preference, and that the Granville's was "a marriage of convenience".

I wish I'd re-read the books closer to watching this series! It's been so long, I can barely even remember who's who or what they do. But, I do remember really disliking Anthony in the books, and in the first series, so was glad to see they didn't change his personality much for this! He's hard to like, and while I appreciated the "why" of his driven mentality, and enjoyed watching this season, I still don't have to like him. I like Benedict a lot. Colin was more appealing to me in the books, but I'm sure I'll come around when he is the main character. He's got potential, and will no doubt make me proud. And how perfectly awkward is the actress playing Eloise? She's doing it exactly right, I can feel the uncomfortableness through the screen.

In the books, Eloise was the child alone with her father when he was stung by the bee. It comes into play with Sir Phillip Crane in book 5. Shonda though took creative license and integrated it sooner. She softened his character with vulnerability. But, Kate and their children influence his personality as well. He will always lead the family with “know it all” authority, but, over the book years he becomes compassionate and understanding, at least that was my impression.

The actress that plays Eloise is not only adorable, but she brought Eloise to life perfectly. I completely agree. I never read Francesca, Hyacinth or Gregory’s books, but Eloise was my favorite.

Just finished and so sad to see it end! I love that her name was Kate and I thought that was a wink at The Taming of the Shrew/Kiss me Kate. Such a steamy romance! And Kate is just so stunningly beautiful. I also find the Bridgerton matriarch wonderful to look at as well. Um...can they hurry up with season 3 already?

The first time I saw Kate with her hair down, my mouth dropped open. Hubby was passing by and said: You should look at yourself right now. I said, She just transformed form a beauty, to astonishingly beautiful. I wish it didn't take so long to make these seasons. I marvel had how composed the queen looks wearing a ton on her head. All the ladies in her court as well, but the queen's wigs look the most ample and very heavy. I hope they are made of light, blown foam.
