We watched Metal Lords last night and enjoyed it. It was inoffensive and it was fun. My husband who loves metal really enjoyed it. I knew a few songs. I found it super adorable, I loved Emily!!! I loved seeing Tom Morello in there, and was giddy seeing his involvement with production and some song writing.

The last twelve episodes of Grace and Frankie will be available to stream on Netflix on April 29. (The first four episodes of the Final season dropped early, in August 2021.) It's about time. I've been waiting & checking ever since I watched the first few they gave us. I guess this is the final end season too. I'll really miss this show. Now it someone would only give us The Crown. I'm tired of waiting for this season. I heard, or read, not until the fall.

I'm addicted to Old Enough! Seeing these 2 and 3 year olds run errands for their parents is so cute!

The Mystery of Marilyn Monroe. Fascinating! She was such an interesting, beautiful and tragic figure. Her death was all full of cover-up! This is Must-see!

This season of Russian Doll was excellent. "Is it 2022 in here?!" If they don't make another season, the way it ended was a good finish.

We are just now watching Heartland. Did anyone else watch this series? I'm sure it's probably been discussed further upthread, but we decided just recently to watch it. It's pretty good!

No, haven't watched that.
"They" set up a documentary list for me, which hasn't happened before. It showed up about midway down my page. One I remember is Edge of Blood about the regulation fight over medical devices. Scary stuff.

My husband started watching Heartland last summer and took binge watching to an entirely new level! He watched 13 seasons in something like six weeks. So when the 14th season was on UP, he was caught up. I watched some of it. It was enjoyable, but I was ot as big a fan as the hubby is.

I finished Grace and Frankie last night and bawled my eyes out. I'm going to miss those two broads. I knew *that* cameo was coming, but I'd forgotten until it happened. Yay!
So, Netflix subscription prices are going up again, they're planning on cracking down on password sharing AND they keep canceling popular shows. Someone will have to explain this business model to me. Maybe they need to stop signing people like Ryan Murphy and Meghan Markle to massive deals (neither of those deals has been remotely profitable and they've just killed MM's proposed first series). I think the popularity of Bridgerton alone as proven that Shonda Rhimes is worth the money they gave her, but not many others have been. I know that HBOMax is growing and gaining lots of subscribers. Same with a few other streamers. I wonder if Netflix will reach a breaking point. They already lost a ton of subscribers this quarter.
I'm also wondering what MY breaking point will be with the subscription price. When I first subscribed to Netflix YEARS ago, I think streaming was maybe $6. Possibly less. I pay more than 3 times that now and I don't feel like I'm getting three times the value, especially with all of the recent cancellations.

If they push mine over $10 (I brought it down last increase) then I'll check out Apple+ or HBO as an alternative. Gotta keep my costs down.

Between those two options, I’d definitely go with HBOMax Apple+ has some good stuff, but there’s no comparison to what you get with HBOMax - so many great original series and tons of movies go to HBO right after they’ve been in theaters. Netflix never has been the place for movies - at least not new ones, but now that it keeps canceling good shows, they’re soon not going to be known for their original series either.

I was seriously wondering where they could go with the plot after the first season of Russian Doll but they delivered in spades. It's too bad they had to cut things out of this season because of Covid and filming restraints though. I loved it!
