I watched The Night Agent over the weekend and thought it was really good. The main guy begins working in the basement at the White House where he answers calls from agents in the field requesting assistance. He becomes involved in the case for the first call he takes. The show started off kind of slow and predictable but kept getting better. I'm going to recommend it to my dad the next time I talk to him.

Outlast was an interesting show. 16 people split into 4 teams but they can switch teams and if your team all leaves and you are not taken by another team, you are out. There are no Tribal Councils or voting like Survivor, they fire a flare gun when they just can't go on anymore. Sort of like Alone, except they always know who is left
Now on to Snowflake Mountain, which looks HILARIOUS!!

Glad to hear it was good Thanks Pika! rockytopchick I watched Snowflake Mtn. I hate to say the previews were better than the actual show, would love you take on it after you watch.

I'm on episode 6 of The Night Agent. It's pretty good, but I figured out the twist that was revealed in this episode back in the first episode. So, that was a little anticlimactic. Maybe I read too many mysteries and thrillers.

I binged Wellmania yesterday. The main character is so unlikeable but grows on you. I was rooting for her. She does such self-defeating things but with manic best intentions. Great supporting cast. I’m not above bailing mid season of a show if I’m not feeling it but I finished and will watch a second season if there is one.

Maybe I read too many mysteries and thrillers. Same here. Normally, I would give up on a show that it's too predictable, but I'm glad I kept watching. It gets much better! I read too many Sidney Sheldon books so I can see a plot twist being set up a mile away. That ruins many mystery/suspense movies for me.

Murder Mystery 2 was somewhat of a disappointment. I don't know why? Maybe I watched the previews too many times, and some of the humor was lost by the time I saw the movie?. It felt rushed somehow? Anyway, if they do a #3, I'll watch that too. I enjoyed seeing the "good guys" again, although poor Colonel. Seems to lose more body parts every movie.

I See You - a surprisingly good thriller with several twists. What happened to Helen Hunt's face, though?
MH370: The Plane That Disappeared - a mostly disappointing documentary about the plane's disappearance. Too much rehashing of conspiracy theories.
The Night Agent - I wasn't big on this one after the first episode, but then it got really good! I hope they do another season.

But you keep wondering the entire season if these kids are for real.

Got thru the first 2 episodes of Night Agent and bailed, it was boring and getting stupid. Tempered glass is not that easy to break people.
Finished season 2 of Shadow and Bone which was good.
Tried Blood Origins, the Witcher pre-sequel. It is BAD so BAD. Very BAD. So full of STUPID. Don't Watch!

Beef - new series on Netflix. Short episodes. Story - a road rage incident between two people escalates and consumes the two people involved. I didn't go into this show with any idea what it was about. It was surprisingly very funny and the two leads, Steven Yeun (He was Glen on Walking Dead) and Ali Wong were fantastic. If you want a quirky, funny, sometimes tense drama then highly recommend.

War Sailor - about two Norwegian merchant sailors who got caught up in WWII. There are only three episodes but some of it is hard to watch...that final scene had me tearing up. The Thing (2011) - I saw it when it was first released and never understood why it was trashed so much. It's not that bad for a prequel.

That was the last episode we watched. Will watch more today & see how it goes. I just have to suspend disbelief with these types of shows & take it for what it is - fiction.

I ended up watching The Company You Keep an ABC drama on Hulu. Con artist meets girl heist of the week and it was fun with some adult relationships. It was fun and gave that smart I was looking for.

The Fundamentals of Caring” stars Paul Rudd as Ben, a grieving father and failed writer who takes a job as a caretaker for an amusingly surly teenage boy. Not that Trevor, played by a doe-eyed Craig Roberts (“Submarine”), doesn’t have a reason to be surly; he suffers from muscular dystrophy, a disorder that severely impairs his physical abilities but leaves his mind sharp. Ben and Trevor strike up an all-too-likely friendship, each being the only one to tell the other the hard truths.
I loved the banter between Ben and Trevor, I wasn't sure if I would care for this movie. Like some books that stay with you, this movie will stay with me. I loved it.

I couldn’t find it. Sorry about the confusion. The Night Agent is on Netflix. I was comparing dumb and boring Night Agent to fun and exciting The Company You Keep. The Company You Keep is an ABC show that airs on Sunday nights and is available on Hulu the next day.

Obsession (2023). Don't waste your time. Agree! I feel like I missed something when the dad was all in just from a glance from her at a huge, noisy function.

I'm not big on stand up but I really needed a laugh and Leanne Morgan: I'm Every Woman, really did the trick! She speaks on her life, growing up in the 80's, raising children, her horny husband, menopause and big panties Give it a try if you need a pick me up
