Puss in Boots: The Last Wish - I was in the mood for something cute and this fit the bill purrfectly. Nice message, too. The Witcher - the last three episodes of the season were pretty great, but I'm still salty about Cavill leaving. Poisoned: The Dirty Truth About Your Food - yet another documentary that makes me want to stop eating altogether. Gross. Hidden Strike - kind of corny action flick with John Cena and Jackie Chan, who saved the whole mess from being unwatchable. Wham! - a decent documentary about the band. I enjoyed it. I want to see the Wham! documentary. Saw them in concert back in the day. I was an Andrew Ridgley girl!!!

I want to see the Wham! documentary. Saw them in concert back in the day. I was an Andrew Ridgley girl!!! Same! I loved him. My friends even made me a teddy bear dressed like him. I found it in my closet not long ago! My bff and I saw them at Hollywood park in August 1985, one of their last 5 shows. Have you read Andrew's book? It was lovely. It made me even more of a fan.

Finished Drink Masters.
Wow, I wish I could sample all those cocktails.
Very impressed with host Tone Bell. Thought he must be some famous rapper I don't know, but he is a stand up comedian and actor. Very impressed with how he carries himself. Very sharp dresser. Interacted well with the bartenders.

Yes, I did read his book and enjoyed it. He is a sweetie. I probably saw them around the time you did. I remember they had not yet released "Edge of Heaven". We had great seats, like 15th row.

We seldom eat out, too damned expensive. You can bring something home with ecoli.I thought it was an interesting little movie, even though these animals are bred to be eaten, I don't like how they are treated .

I try not to think about it to much and will probably not watch the show. As my mom used to say in Spanish, lo que no te mata, te engorda.... what doesn't kill you, makes you fat I eat meat but I do believe animals should be treated kindly and put down the same way.

I watched the Wham! documentary. IT was really good and I forgot how many songs I liked of theirs. They really hit big fast and then split so fast. It also confirmed that I still love Andrew!

We watched Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead last night. Taking place in Japan, our protagonist, is stuck at a horrible job that is working him to death when a zombie apocalypse occurs. He creates a bucket list of what he wants to do now that he is "free" to do so. It was cute and funny and for a movie over 2 hours, went by real fast. Based on a manga series, this was live action. WE enjoyed it. Yes, it was OTT but it was good.

Hidden Strike - John Cena and Jackie Chan were fun, the story was a tad over totally stupid so it was better than most action films. Heart of Stone - much better than I thought it would be with Gal Cadet as the lead. Yes formulaic but nicely edited and good pacing. Arnold - 3 episode documentary of Arnold Schwarzenegger, very well done. Liked the part about his childhood in Austria and how his father came back broken from WWII. Mech Cadets - animation based on a manga story. Liked the underlying messages. Very well done. Good for kids and family viewing.

I watched Heart of Stone last night - it was just okay. They were trying really hard to be Mission: Impossible but didn't hit the mark.

We looked around Netflix last night and didn't find anything that really appealed to us. I think after we watch Season 6 of The Crown, we're going to cancel Netflix.

I just binged all 8 episodes of THE ONE on Netflix! Wow! What a pleasant surprise! And I loved that it wasn't at all what I expected! I really, really enjoyed it.

Mask Girl: The synopsis for this show reads as follows: "An office worker who is insecure about her looks becomes a masked internet personality by night until a chain of ill-fated events overtakes her life." That's not even half of it. I've only watched the first two episodes but it got unpredictable and dark REALLY quickly, plus it looks like each episode focuses on a different character showing their point of view of events? I wouldn't say it's a good time, but it's Noir, timely in our Internet age, engaging, and I want to see more.

I was recommended Mask Girl, and it looked interesting. I'm in the middle of watching 'The Womb', an Indonesian spooky film about a pregnant woman who is too poor to keep her child, so she turns to a wealthy couple who are willing to take care of her and adopt the baby. Haven't finished it, but it has my attention.

I watched the first half of the episodes of The Big Nailed It! Baking Challenge yesterday and it is so much fun! Instead of having new bakers (term used very loosely, obviously ) for each episode, this series has a group of bad bakers who compete for a prize at the end of the season. A contestant is eliminated each episode. They have two professional chefs/coaches who teach them various techniques and then they have challenges where they use those techniques. Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres still host and they have the usual guest judges come in.
It's got the same "holy sh!t what am I doing?" vibe, but they also get better. I also love that the eliminated contestant gets a minute to "shop" in the kitchen - with the help of Wes and a shopping cart - and they can take anything they want, from appliances to ingredients.

I watched it all in 2 days. It was a lot of fun and I felt like I really got to know the contestants. Mainly, no one was nasty with each other either. Like you said, it is interesting that they do improve (not necessarily greatly) as time goes on. And I love the shopping sprees.

Like you said, it is interesting that they do improve (not necessarily greatly) as time goes on. And I love the shopping sprees. The older white lady - I can't remember her name - had me in stitches. Every time she screwed something up, she's just bust out laughing and try to figure out how to fix it, which only made it worse.
I worked all day and just sat down to episode 6. I have a few people I think might win, but I don't have any favorites. I've liked every single contestant!
I know Nicole is a divisive person - I don't get it, but I know she is - but I love her. There was that moment when she asked Wes for something to eat and when she said she wanted lasagna, he said, "How about chips?" Nicole: a little "okay"

I loved it too. It was great to see the expression on the first eliminated contestant's face go from sadness, to confusion, then happiness and excitement when they found out they had a minute to grab anything they wanted in the kitchen. So happy for them!

So happy for them! I also loved that, after the winner was announced, both F1 and F2 got a cart and they both shopped for F2. So, the winner got the experience of grabbing all the stuff too AND the runner-up got a little more stuff than the previously eliminated contestants.
I'm sad they canceled Nailed It! I know some people thought it was mean spirited, but I love it.

Anyone watch Painkillers? Just finished it last night. Pretty intense and eye opening. I watched the first three episodes and my God, it is disturbing. All I can think is thank God, I or my loved ones, didn't get started on this. Maybe we just had damn good doctors or maybe we just didn't need something like this. I plan on finishing it up today.

Finally finished Mask Girl and I don't even know how to describe it. Diabolical? Constant twists and turns? Tragic? It's definitely worth a watch but man, does it get crazy. The reveal of who Granny really was and what she was doing left my mouth open.
